So far, these are great earring backs. They keep my earrings in place & more importantly secure by them locking onto the stem until you release the mechanism to remove them. No issues with them coming off even while sleeping. I have used them on two different pairs of studs. One pair is a screw back type and these earring backs also lock onto those stems without an issue. I have used them with & without the optional PVC retainer. They are pricey but it's a small price to pay to keep from losing my expensive studs. Also, they are a bit small to handle with my 'man hands' but with a little patience I am able to fasten them myself.

I bought these because I kept losing my diamond studs. They work and I feel secure knowing they are safely in place. Easy to put on and take off. They fit the posts of all the earrings I’ve tried. They are comfortable and lightweight.

These are the best backs you’ll find, I’ve used them with light earrings and also my anniversary diamond’s which I’m always afraid of losing. They really do stay in place plus they are very comfortable

I wasn’t sure these would work as I have screw on post on my very expensive diamond stud earrings, and they drooped because they were heavy,and I wanted them to stand up better. These worked perfectly they slide on and lock and they make my earrings Stand up better on my ears ! Very easy to put on and off as well easier than my screw on backs. wonderful purchase.

Overall a good purchase. They are secure and easy to put on. Taking them off requires some coordination and I have dropped it several times during removal If you keep your fingernails short it is particularly tricky. They have a bit of weight to them so can make your earrings heavier through the day. They are a good alternative when I don't want to fuss with my locking back.

I purchased these a year ago and waited until now to review because I really wanted to see if they worked as described and lasted. In my opinion, they’re worth the money. I have screw back (1.5 carat each) diamond earrings and these not only make it easier to remove them but they don’t droop! The screw backs were such a bother. I have to remove my earrings every night and these make it so easy. I see some people have trouble but I don’t have any at all (but I also don’t have super long fingernails). I highly recommend spending the extra money especially if you don’t want to lose your very expensive earrings.

"Most secure"? HA! I ordered these backs because I believed the hype, and I very much needed something to hold my earring posts in my earlobes and not "disappear" when I wasn't looking. I even ordered a second pair! Well, I only have one back left, and even it has lost its "locking disc". Apparently the discs are faulty. Oh, they worked for awhile; I wore them for 4 months, but in that time three of them left me, and I'm back now to wearing only earrings with wires (ick). I can't return them because I don't have them (except for the one remaining -- without the locking disc), and my "return window" expired 3 months ago. Before you order these, beware, they're very expensive, yet you may not have them long.

Did you lose an earring because the backing fell off? I did! Very expensive happening! These were expensive but they LOCK onto the earring post and you will not lose any more expensive earrings! I will not lose any more expensive earrings due to the back coming off.

1st thought after i tried on - it is true, it works! Shouldn't have waited this long to buy. I wear them: slide in catch close to ear, let magic (or Japan technology) work itself. The earrings post's end notch act as safety net. Daily use and even slept in these for a month, absolute delight, earrings intact. Finally peace of mind. Yes we need to clean them too.

The only backing I wear now - and I give them as presents too as they are truly phenomenal - haven't lost an earring since I 'met' these! They take about 30 sec. to figure out - you have to lift the end bit - but once you have tried it it is logical and safe.
