Spiced Rum, 70cl (Packaging may vary)

How many times have you read in reviews that people can taste what is supposed to be tasted in a glass of stuff such as this? I can tell you I have and wondered ghow they came to what they had. I have had many DMF's loved most, hated the Hemp one . Not happy that many have had the alcohol dropped which has prevented me from re buying when i may have wanted to. Sadly. But then may are reducing the level. I have never purchased the spiced rum until now. Didn't feel the need with all the others I've had. So would I buy this one again. I absolutely would at 37.5 vol at least, lower than that it's no longer a rum. I definitely got the saffron cake and dark spiced fruit, Ice cream? I found that as an after taste which is quite pleasant and a surprise. So many spiced rums are overly sweetened or sweet. A big plus for this one it isn't I prefer it with Pepsi max, but yes it did read you wouldn't have tried anything like this rum and I have to admit I haven't it is different In a good way Not a great drinker Christmas socially mainly but this christmas I think I might hide this one and just pour a ru and coke for me😊. Good strength for percentage and nice aroma.

This is my second bottle of Dead Man's Fingers - I am relatively new to rum drinking, and started with 'Kraken' which I wasn't a fan of, then tried Captain Morgans, again wasn't a huge fan. Went to 'Pussers' (not the gunpowder one!) and enjoyed that, had a nice taste to it, then over to DMF which initially I wasn't sure on, but it grew on me and has become a favourite! It's worth bearing in mind it's usually drank with some coke zero, ice and a slice of lime - my go to recipe is 2 x double shots of DMF, 1 large slice of lime and a glass (pint size) full of Ice, then add coke gradually as you drink - it sounds a lot, but I don't go back for more and it lasts a good hour or so. Short of that, recipe for straight is 3 x single shots of DMF, small glass, lots of ice, and a wedge of lime. I decided to buy another bottle of DMF as I had a bottle of 'Woods' rum, which tastes far too acidic for me, I won't waste it, but it's not a good one in my opinion. I do think the 'Kraken' rum deserves another chance so will probably try that again next, but this one (DMF) which be a firm staple in my drink cupboard! For the record, I ordered in April 2022 and didn't get the Santa bottle :D But wasn't bothered either way, the contents are what I was interested in! Lovely!

The spiced rum from this company, to me, tastes like Christmas cake that's been soaked with a bottle more rum than it needed. There's a strong raisin element, some festive spices, and what I suppose could be considered vanilla since it's cake, but I'm not an expert in notes. It doesn't taste like any other spiced rum I've tried, and I've tried a lot of them. It's not pleasant neat, but I'm yet to meet a spirit in this price bracket that is, and so I wasn't expecting it to be. Mixed with Coke or Dr Pepper, which is how I mix all of my spiced rums, it is just as enjoyable as any other spiced rum, and that distinct Christmas cake flavour completely disappears. The problem with reviewing anything based on taste is that we're all different. We all have preferences and we all experience things differently. It's hard to know if something's going to be for you based on what a total stranger describes their experience to be. Part of it is knowing yourself and what you like, and part of it is accepting that you might have just poured some cash down the drain. Such is life. I wouldn't personally spend £20 on a brightly coloured bottle of rum with a skull on the front (a very specific aesthetic, it has to be said) and expect a smooth sipping rum comparable to something that costs 4 times more. It's unrealistic. For what it is, it's just as good as anything else worth buying in this bracket, and even better if it's on offer. They're all going to be mixed with sugary drinks until you can barely taste them anyway.

Liked my first bottle I sampled so bought three more to give to my family for Xmas , at this price they are very reasonably priced . Comes through with a nice taste of Vanila , Cinnamon and Nutmeg and taste so smooth , I have it neat or with ice , my wife likes it with mixers . We rate this rum and find it is really good value !

Having nervously bought this (a different from his usual rum) for my husband who is usually very fussy when when it comes to his rum his response was "this has a nice flavour." The price is very reasonable too. It makes a great gift and definitely one that I would buy again.

De lo más rico que he probado en ron tostado. El toque que tiene de especias le queda espectacular. El diseño de la botella genial.

Odore buono che ricorda il compleanno . Assaggio che ricorda la chemical room . Non è un rum e una porcheria per ubriacarsi !! Mi dispiace perché dietro ci sono persone che lavorano ma davanti ci sono persone che lo bevono . Fa schifo !!! Certo ! Sono indignato dalle tante recensioni a 5 stelle .... non capiscono .... si ubriacano e basta .
