Decent stick and not as expensive as other name brands.
I've used Vic Firth and Promark for quite some time. More Vic Firth than anything. But, I recently tried these sticks made by Flanger. A company I haven't heard of. I use a 5A weight. The Tear Drop tip is good, but I like the barrel tip better for Jazz. Anyway, thus far, these sticks are pretty good. As time goes on, they will wear out as usual. I mark the butt of a single stick within a pair so that I can switch the sticks after each song for even wear. Just a little tip. The cost of these sticks are couple of bucks cheaper than a Vic Firth 5A. Time will tell how these will hold up. So far, so good. They feel good in the hands. Vic Firth prints a little flag which happens to be on the balance point of the stick. The Flangers don't have that, so unless you know how to get the balance point right away, you won't have a visual to guide you. At least for beginner students. If cost is a factor for drum sticks, these would be a good set to use. I don't play heavy Rock or Metal and I don't play heavy handed, so durability may last longer for me than say another player. So why not a 5 star? Well, 5 stars for "I Love It". And, these sticks although are good, didn't cause me to throw out all my new Vic Firth sticks at the moment. But, I will continue trying them for a while to see how they feel.
