This product is unsafe for sale in the UK. It has a US style plug and is 110 volts. As our UK supply is 240 volts you would need to buy a step down converter, which in itself is an expense and a bit of a minefield. Using this without a step down converter is a serious fire risk. It is irresponsible to sell this item for use in the UK. I would have given it zero stars for the UK if I could.

This item does not work in the UK as it is rated 120V. I had bought it in the UK and it got damaged during its first use. I am now having to go waste my time returning the item etc. to get my refund.

Never mind It comes with usa plug, you have to pay for the return post to return it.

DONT BUY IN THE UK. This product should not be on Amazon UK. It is 120 volts and cannot be used in UK without buying very expensive power step down equipment.

My experience was horrible. First it was splashing hot boiling water everywhere with the lid on. And after all of this, the rice is completely burnt. Completely unusable product.

Experimenting with more elaborate dishes, I wanted to get a rice cooker that doesn't take up too much space and has a stainless steel basin, and makes the rice cooking aspect completely effortless. This seems to be the only one I found without a nonstick bottom, and I'm really happy with the results. So far I've only made sushi rice with it, the "1" cup designation they have makes just enough rice for 2 rolls. The water level indication in the basin (and when you follow the instructions from the manual) appears to be the 1:1.1 ratio used for sushi rice. It was ready in less than 20 minutes and the rice produced was just right, and didn't stick to the bottom at all. Amazing!

So many nice touches for the price. Gooey grains don't stick if you use oil. Wild rice takes 6 to 1 water to grain and comes out perfectly. Double screw handle on lid doesn't come loose. Heavy clad crock with stainless finish. Heavy duty toggle switch and tasteful dim LEDs. Well assembled should last DECADES.

Great little rice cooker! Good for 2-3 people, does not make a big splashy mess like our old one. Easy to clean. Stainless steel so much healthier than the teflon-coated pots.
