This is a PERFECT product
This is my first Ultra Short Throw projector. I've only had it for a week so can't comment on longevity, but OMG, what a fantastic product. We are using it on a great room wall with the traditional contractor off-white paint that had a mirror and a couple of paintings on it. I figured I'd see whether the image was any good and would either return the unit or maybe upgrade with a projector screen. The image is STUNNING. After a little bit of adjustment on the leveler feet, the keystone, and the focus, every part of the image is crystal clear. If displaying an exact image like a spreadsheet grid there is some deformation of the image due to the imperfections in the drywall, so a true cinephile no doubt wants a fancy, expensive, ALR screen, but for watching Netflix or sports after dinner it is unnoticeable. Before setting it up I had also read about special paint and was thinking I would need to spackle the nail holes from the mirror and paintings and repaint the wall but that's completely unnecessary. There were comments about the sound quality being mediocre, but the sound quality of the built in speakers is great, although I am not using them (see below). One thing that I hadn't anticipated is that this isn't merely a large TV, it turns watching into a fully immersive experience. Watching sports it feels like you're courtside. A few notes. I wasn't sure if I would return it because I was skeptical of the picture quality. So, the former 80" TV is on the opposite wall. It is mounted above an AV "cabinet." The whole setup includes a Denon receiver and Klipsch surround sound speakers. I had originally thought that I would mount the projector on some sort of table or stand, but to maximize the image size it is on the floor so that the bottom of the image is just above the outlets and the top of the image is an inch below the 10' ceiling. The point is that to maximize the image size there is no good way to have equipment in any sort of normal AV cabinet, so it either needs to be somewhere away from the unit or on the floor. This also means that you need to have some agility to adjust the levelers because they are on the floor. I also feel like one would need to build some sort of fence around the unit if there were infants or toddlers around. In a greenfield install things might be easier, but I left the receiver where it was so now have an Amazon Fire TV cube on the floor next to the Hisense, then a 50' digital optical cable running to the receiver, then had to switch front and rear speakers to use the wires running from the Denon to the rear speakers to become the front speakers. I'm not sure what to do about the center speaker. I had thought there was a way to use the Hisense built-in speakers as the center speaker but that may have been for a competing product as I don't see that option in the audio set-up. The only thing that is not intuitive is that some options are accessible through "settings," but others (like keystone) are only accessible through the "menu" button on the remote. I have no experience with the competition, so don't know if this is worse, the same, or better. All I know is that it is a fantastic product. Another reviewer wrote about a rainbow effect. I had to Google that to see what it was, and now knowing what it is I haven't experienced it. Lastly, my girlfriend remarked that it is a lot to spend on a TV. That is true. HOWEVER, assuming a ten year life, the cost works out to roughly a couple of dollars per day. Given that it's our entertainment most evenings after dinner, this is roughly on par with, say, half of a Starbucks coffee every day and per week, less than a glass of wine or cocktail on a Saturday night out.

Feature-Packed 4K Laser Projector That Delivers Great Value and Stunning Visuals
**Review: Hisense Laser Cinema PL2 The Hisense Laser Cinema PL2 is a feature-rich 4K ultra-short throw projector that delivers excellent value for money. With X-Fusion laser technology, Pure Colour, HDR10+, Dolby Vision & Atmos, and support for 3D and Filmmaker Mode, it brings a true cinematic experience right into your living room. The 2700 lumens brightness and 3000:1 native contrast ratio provide vibrant, sharp visuals even in brighter environments, while the wide projection range (80"–150") makes it versatile for different room sizes. Setup requires some patience, especially when adjusting the image to fit your screen perfectly—but once dialed in, it stays consistent. While auto screen size calibration or a slide-in/out mechanism would be a great future addition, the current setup still offers great flexibility. With its solid build quality, premium features, and high-end performance at a competitive price, the PL2 stands out as a smart investment for home cinema enthusiasts.

Best Projector
Writing this review after 50 days of use. This is my first TV projector which I am using in basement and it is great experience. I am using directly on white painted wall without ALR screen. Ordered special projector screen paint for wall from Amazon (approximately $186.00 with tax). Set up was very easy, just to put few inches in front of wall and move it in proper direction to get appropriate picture size on the wall. The quality of picture is great in low light area. It has Film-Maker mode in picture setting and it gives theater like experience. Remote control has short cut for Picture setting and Audio setting which is helpful to easily change appropriate picture and audio setting without closing current program. This projector is for low light area. I wouldn’t recommend this projector if there is lot of lights in room or for outdoor. Sound from is good enough for my basement but I am using external soundbar (from Sony 2.1 channel with inbuilt subwoofer). I would suggest using external soundbar and/or speaker system to improve sound experience. Dolby atoms sound is great using external soundbar/sound system. It has eARC port for easy connection for external sound system. It doesn’t have advanced Wi-Fi 6, 6e or 7 but has Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (dual band) which is more than enough to watch movies, sports and TV show over Google TV. I needed to buy Wi-Fi extender (TP-Link Wi-Fi range extender, approximately $139.00 with tax from Best Buy) to get better Wi-Fi signal in basement. It would be great this projector has Wi-Fi 6, 6e or 7. It has Google TV and it has all the apps I needed including Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, ESPN, You Tube and Tablo TV. Some apps require download which is easy with Google account. It does not have TV Tuner which I don’t need it and I don’t miss it. Now, many Apps are available to watch local channels for free and Apps availability for local channels will improve in future. Great and quick customer service experience from the dealer for price adjustment. One problem I have noticed is this projector turns on itself on some nights and I haven’t figured out to fix this problem yet. Not sure if this is a bug which may require software update. I need to make sure to plug it out at night to prevent turning it on itself.

Good replacement projector. Upgrade for sure
I bought this to replace my old Dell short throw projector and this one is way better. I like the google apps on it. It powers up faster and is quieter. The 4k is better as well. It’s an expensive investment but I am happy with it. I do have one small issue with the eARC between the stereo and projector though. Not sure if it is a stereo problem or a projector problem. The timing on the powerups for the two devices is off so the projector wont recognize the stereo unless it is powered on first. A future feature could include a way to set a delay on the eARC or something. Its al fairly minor issue though and likely just a problem with my setup.

Grand Slam
Buy it - especially while the price is dropped. The image is insanely good, right out of the box, and even better with some tweaks - especially on the NothingProjector 110" ALR Black screen. My biggest challenge was finding a stand short enough to keep screen height in the sweetspot, and I did - buy the Lack tv stand from IKEA and don't use the legs. You will thank me for this tip.

Amazing Projector / Amazon Packaging terrible
So far, this is amazing. The color and brightness blow away my old projector. The only issue is the packaging from Amazon. They put the projector, which is roughly a 24-28" wide by around 18" tall, into a box that is 30" tall x 48" long, so it slid all around, and the ends of the box came in crushed. Luckily, HiSense packaged the projector to withstand the impact this packing gave it. Projector - 5 stars Amazon Packaging and care for a $3000 item - 0 stars

Good but not great
It is good but not awesome. Defitnly better for 200” screen than 120”. Not that clear resolution as spected for that price.

Great projector
Love this. The short throw nature is spectacular. Picture quality as well above their lower end models. It’s immediately noticeable. eARC connectivity to the sound bar works well and the 2 HDMI keeps me from changing cables from my Xbox and switch 2.
