I broke my tibial plateau and had surgery a year ago. This has good reviews, so I got thru a bottle after my surgery. I also used the salve, because of the comfrey to help heal my bone. I noticed the salve gave me knee a lot of relief from swelling and pain. I'm now on my 4th bottle and 4th salve that I'm now using for some deep painful body work into my upper back, torso and under my shoulder blade. I can feel it working immediately to ease pain, so I know it's been helping with some pretty heavy duty healing processes. It tastes like strong herbs..... Because it IS strong herbs.. with some sweetness. I just chug a gulp out of the bottle and chase it down with water. Kinda tastes a bit like black liquorice. I've def. Tasted worse!!!! About comparable to the grossness of cough syrup. I REALLY appreciate Dr. Christopher's product line. The cayenne pepper salve also works really well. Nice and hot, absorbs well and can re apply often, to keep your tissues warm and flexible and ease pain.

This is a good product. I can sleep at night without pain in my shoulder. Also helps with lower back pain. I will keep ordering this.

Tastes bitter, but that’s herbal medicine; it doesn’t always taste great. This has been helpful for healing from injury and also my teeth. Many of the herbs are also beneficial for the lungs, so good be good for lower respiratory issues, too. It is more cost effective to take this syrup vs capsules, plus you can swish it over your teeth for direct application if you are having teeth issues.

I have been taking CTBF for just over two months now and I must say it is a God send to my RA. When I take it, my inflammation subsides and diminishes the severe chronic pain I experience (those of you with RA will know exactly what I mean). Before taking CTBF, when I would run out of my very expensive prescription meds, the inflammation came back with a vengeance. Now I don't flare up so much. I am trying to wean myself of the drugs for fear of the numerous side effects that they say may come with the drugs. Its not a cure all, as everyone is not the same, but personally I have no more debilitating pain, especially in my wrists. I can now use my hands and can move around freely. Even though CTBF seems to be safe, please tell your doctor first if you decide to take CTBF, especially if you are on prescription meds. Taste does not bother me too much, except I find it overly sweet, which I can understand if the organic herbs used are bitter. As always Amazon rocks.

This syrup was a recommendation from a friend- my husband crushed his lower leg in a farming accident and was willing to try anything to get back to work faster. So far, his xrays show very good bone growth and despite a lot of swelling, his incisions from the surgery were completely healed and there is minimal scarring after 4 weeks. He was told to take one TBSP every hour, but is now down to 1 TBSP in the morning and 1 at night. Does this stuff really work? We are not sure. But he was off pain killers within 1.5 weeks after the accident and felt good enough to go back to work at 2 weeks post, even with crutches. Only drawback- it takes AWFUL. Go blend some dirt in your backyard with vodka and you'll get close to the taste!
