Stopped working after two days. Batteries don't sit all the way down which is what I'm assuming is the issue. Raise the tariffs even more.

I've only been using this for 2 weeks now and I can no longer play anything because this controller literally disconnects every few seconds while I am actively using it. I've replaced the batteries twice just in case it was that but nothing. It has gotten very frustrating dealing with it if I am honest.

I picked this up to play Clone Hero on my PC, and it is perfect! I have also tested it on my PS5 and it works great there too. Takes just a couple batteries and connects effortlessly with the included USB dongle. Buttons are quick and responsive, but I do wish they were spaced a little more so I don't accidentally hit multiple colors at once. Definitely for the pros! Great for anyone wanting to get back into the Guitar games!

This thing simply doesn't work, I don't know how anyone got lucky enough to get a working unit. They sent me two and both are defective in different ways. The first one connected to the wireless dongle perfectly first try, the second unit won't connect to the dongle it came with nor to the dongle from the first guitar. I tried this on PS4 and PC, neither worked. The first guitar's buttons didn't work. The "PS" button, d-pad, strum bar and ONE of the 6 buttons worked. Nothing else. I tried using the manual and other reviews here to put it into "Rock Band" mode but the light would never stay red for more than a second or two. I'm unable to test anything on the second guitar as it won't connect to anything. Another weird issue was with my keyboard, when the dongle from the first guitar is plugged into my PC it makes typing impossible. Random key presses happen constantly. Stay away from this product, spend the extra $30 or whatever to get the PDP Riffmaster.

I got this today, put it together and tested it out on some clone hero. I have to say, for a brand i've never heard of before, i was actually really impressed with how well this thing functioned. I've been using, and otherwise babying an xbox360 wired explorer controller for something over 10 years now for the times i've wanted to play, so it was nice to get my hands on something newer for a change, and in comparison, this thing plays nearly identically. When i first got it set up on PC it seemed to have defaulted to "rockband mode". if you read the manual it explains something (kind of inaccurately) about how to change the controller from rockband to guitar hero mode. basically the gist is this. unplug the dongle from the computer, and then hold the smallest button while inserting it back in. that'll switch the light from blue to red, and the controller will properly show up as "guitar hero controller" in your usb game controllers. after that it's as simple as configuring it in whatever game you're trying to play, in my case clone hero, and away you went. you know what really sealed the deal for me? this thing actually has the gravity sensor for star power in this controller. it's actually set up a bit nicer than the old 360 controller, because the 360 controller had the tilt on an axis in the controller configuration. this just has a sensor inside that activates the "Select" button when you tilt all the way up. it's simple, it's accurate, and there's no fiddling with deadzones or sensitivity of the sensors to get right. it just works. that was just fantastic stuff for me. now of course i do have one critique of this controller, and it's more of a nitpick because i knew what it was going into it, and it's just.. the guitar hero live controls, like who plays guitar hero live? i don't know a single soul. i would've rather a redundant set of normal rockband/guitar hero keys up at the top to give me the old school experience more accurately, but it being configured this way just means the guitar has better compatibility among every guitar hero or rockband game you might come up against. so, i can't really dock a star for that can i? all in all, this is good stuff. maybe the finish of the guitars plastic could've been a LITTLE bit nicer, but dude i'm just happy to have a working wireless guitar setup in 2024. that alone is just nice. i'm happy to see some companies coming out with some new options for people who would otherwise be searching endlessly on ebay or craigslist for overpriced, beaten up used controllers from almost 15 years ago. any company doing this in 2024 of good quality is a winner in my book.

Screws provided tore up the backplate the holds the batteries in before it would actually hold it closed tight enough to stay turned on. So it was already messed up before I could even test it out. Once I duct taped the back so it would stay turned on, it lasted not even 10 hours before becoming squeaky….. I have an OG Xbox one that never had any squeaking after over a decade of use, I’m only replacing it because it’s wired and the wire finally gave out but after buying this, I’m about to just replace the cord on the old one.

Decent build quality and works well so far on PS3 GH and Rock Band. You lose some functionality like the Power tilt and modulating whammy bar with Clone Hero as the PC mode just simulates a keyboard, but otherwise its working great so far.
