DAVEK ELITE UMBRELLA (Classic Black) - Quality Cane Umbrella with Automatic Open, Strong & Windproof

This is an incredible umbrella. The construction feels solid with beautiful detailing throughout that gives it a premium look and feel. The only thing I wish were different is that the shaft could be a little sturdier since it has a bit more flexibility than I expected. I also wish the handle were slightly more open because it feels a little tight in my hand, but that may just be personal preference. Even with those small notes, this is easily a five star umbrella. The quality, style, and overall craftsmanship make it worth every penny.

Rugged functionality. I haven't been in a storm that tests its durability, but by the heft and feel, it should easily pass the test. Meanwhile, in lesser rains, it provides good coverage for its size. I like it. It looks good, too. If there was a downside to the product, it is its weight.

Really nice sturdy umbrella. Bought it for my beau to replace a really old one of the same make that had seen better days. He loves it!

What's not to like? Yes it seems like a lot of cash for an umbrella. But when you hold this one and operate it you can see the quality. The weave is so tight on the arch that in the rain it sounds like the water is hitting a soft shield. It's sturdy and if you care for it I would say at least a good 10 years of use wouldn't be an issue if you use it's cover and take care of it. So that's a little over 10 dollars a year! Or you can get a mc umbrella and be safe when it's gets shredded by the wind or the arms break off.

I've had this umbrella for less than a year, and in that time I've only used it maybe 3 or 4 times. Today, the latch stopped working, so I have to fiddle aggressively with the button to try and get the metal latch piece to protrude far enough to catch and actually keep it closed. This is outrageously poor durability and performance for an umbrella that cost me more than $150 9 months ago. I've had $20 umbrellas that have had held up 3x as long as this one. In order to get it fixed I'll have to pay $12 to send it back to Davek so that they can evaluate whether or not the damage is covered and I can get it repaired. Having a product that is supposed to be premium break this quickly and then having to jump through hoops to get it fixed is not what I was expecting when I purchased this. Incredibly disappointed. *ETA: I was mistaken previously. I have to pay $12 for them to ship it back to me, but that doesn't cover the shipping to them. So I'm really paying $25 or so to send it to them and get a working one back. $150 for an umbrella that you have to then spend $25 just to get it fixed 9 months later is just shockingly poor craftsmanship. Do not buy this umbrella.

Although I haven't used the warranty, every umbrella comes with a 50 percent off on your next purchase meaning the next umbrella you get is only 75 USD. I definitely think its worth 75 usd but not 160 however with the addition of their "lifetime warranty" it may be very worth the 160 usd. I haven't used the lifetime warranty yet but I hope they will honor it when I break mine in a couple of years.

I've been looking for an upscale umbrella, one that functions well and looks good doing it...suitable for casual weekend outings, executive retreats, suit and tie walkabouts, and has the technical features to withstand a good bit of wind with the rain. Some of the high-end designer umbrellas look like an advertising billboard; definitely not what I was looking for. I especially like the leather and polished metal handle on this product, and its classic canopy shape. Having been caught in a downpour with a lower quality umbrella following a business meeting, I vowed to seriously upgrade. I went all-in, and also purchased a Davek Duet umbrella for travel to wet, windy, western Europe in the winter, and a Davek Solo as a gift.

I didn't dislike the item but I returned it as I found it a tad big for daily use. It is incredibly built with sturdy materials. Easily the nicest umbrella I've ever had. It's smart looking and honestly if you're the type that doesn't mind carrying a larger full sized umbrella this is definitely the item for you. I personally found the smaller collapsible 'solo' model to be much more sufficient for my needs.

Perhaps one of my best buys that I had last year. The definition of quality and design in a excellent price. Meet your new umbrella or should I say meet your new Davek Elite Umbrella as it is a product that it stands out among other supposedly good umbrellas.
