Def worth it
Perfect size & is very lightweight. I absolutely love physical books, but I don’t have enough space for more in my home (plus packing all those books up for moving is a chore & very heavy). I purchased mine in the green color along with the matching fabric case & recommended charger (added up to around $175). It came about a month or so ago, & I haven’t been able to put it down since. The battery is incredibly reliable; the charge lasts FOREVER (realistically—about 5-7 days with daily use). I take it everywhere with me as it fits easily in my bag & the charge holds so well. As far as cost, I save so much money on physical books, primarily because of the kindle unlimited subscription which is roughly $12/month after the trial. I can read as many books as my heart desires for that price alone. *Mwah* Chef’s kiss. The setup was a breeze, but the ‘controls’ were a little difficult to figure out at first, especially on the swipe to get back to the home screen. But everything else is pretty easy. The brightness, text size & other settings can all be changed easily. If you’re going back & forth on the ads vs. no ads feature like I did: CHOOSE ADS. It’s more or less just book suggestions. They only occur on the screensaver, plus the advertised cover art is usually pretty awesome & you get to explore new reads if you want! Long story short: Well worth your dollar if you purchase (or want to purchase more) books & read often. Easy to learn how to use, holds a charge fabulously, & I can’t stress enough—it is the perfect size for reading on the go.

I love my kindles, perfect for travel, work, school or even at home.
So cute and tiny, fits in my purse, my scrub pocket and its easy to hold in your hands. so light you barely notice its there. This one is my travel kindle I keep this one on me for work, errands, travel. I do have the colorsoft to that I tend to leave at home to read there but lately I have switched them out once in awhile but this one is perfect for travel or for people with small hands. I have found myself reading more because I no longer get distracted by my notifications or Tik Tok. It is so smooth and runs very well. there is some lag (which could just be me being use to an Iphone kindle) but it works perfectly fine with no issues except for a little lag. But I love this and I am so glad I have this with me at all times.

Small but Mighty The Perfect Everyday Kindle in Matcha
I was honestly surprised when I took it out of the box because of how incredibly light and compact it is. The Matcha color is soft and calming without being flashy, and it feels smooth and solid in the hand. It is very tiny and slim, which makes it easy to hold for long reading sessions without any strain. It easily fits in my purse and even in larger jacket pockets, so I can carry it everywhere without thinking about it. The page turns are noticeably faster than older models and the higher contrast ratio really makes the text stand out. The screen looks crisp and clean, almost like real paper, and it is very comfortable on the eyes. I love that I can adjust the brightness to read in any lighting. The 16 GB storage is more than enough for thousands of books, which means I never have to worry about running out of space. The battery life is excellent and lasts for weeks with regular use, so I am not constantly looking for a charger. It is a great device for anyone who loves to read and wants something simple and reliable. I would absolutely recommend buying the protective case to keep it safe since it is so slim and lightweight. Overall it feels thoughtfully designed and makes reading even more enjoyable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Lightest Kindle Really Feels Like It Disappears in Your Hands
I upgraded to this Kindle mainly because I wanted something I could actually carry everywhere without thinking about it and this thing absolutely nails that idea. First impression: It’s shockingly light. Like, “did I actually put it in my bag?” light. The 6-inch glare-free screen is crisp, easy on the eyes, and perfect for reading in bed, at practice, or while waiting around with the kids. This newest basic Kindle is widely recognized as the lightest and most compact Kindle in Amazon’s lineup, designed specifically for distraction-free reading and portability. What stood out: * Extremely lightweight and easy to hold one-handed * Sharp text with improved contrast and fast page turns * Battery life that lasts weeks, not days Real-life use: This has basically replaced physical books for me on the go. It fits in a jacket pocket or small bag, and I’ve used it in every “waiting situation” imaginable: kids’ activities, travel, even just winding down at night. Pros: * Lightest Kindle available (true carry-anywhere device) * Very readable screen with no glare * Long battery life (charge it and forget it) Cons: * No warm light or waterproofing like the Paperwhite * Smaller screen than premium models Bottom line: If you want the most portable Kindle possible and don’t need extra bells and whistles, this is the one. It disappears in your routine in the best way. 📚

New Kindle is Excellent ! Upgrade Very Easy
I had to upgrade to the new model Kindle (since my old unit was no longer being supported). I really like the new unit. The size is very similar to my old unit - and this was important to me as I prefer a compact unit. The screen is backlit and that is a real improvement over the old unit. Font size is very easy to set up and font size was very important to me. The new unit is very quick and easy to use. It recharges much faster than my old unit. Thanks to Amazon, I was very pleased at how easy it was to complete the upgrade. All of the books in my library were retained, and the unit works very similarly to the old unit relative to the addition of new books. I also appreciate Amazon providing the 20% discount on the new unit. Bottom-line: very pleased with the new unit; easy to upgrade; highly recommended.

Very compact
I like this little Kindle, and it IS small! It’s not much bigger than my phone and weighs less. I just wanted it to read books at night so it’s easy to hold when I’m laying in bed. The only thing I didn’t know was that it’s not in color so everything‘s black and white. ( like book covers). The more expensive Kindles have color. I also have a Bible on my Kindle and it’s hard to navigate through your Bible. You can find a book, but you can’t find the chapters.(at least I haven’t figured out how to do that yet). It comes with a charging cord, but not a plug so you can charge it if you have a desktop computer. Or you can purchase the plug separately if you don’t already have one. I did not purchase the $32 case by Kindle that folds up, but I did purchase a silicone cover for much less. If you travel a lot and take your Kindle, you might want to invest in the case. It’s very nice. I just needed something to help me grip the Kindle better because it is slick. The screen is nice and it goes into dark mode if you want to read at night and have less light in the room. It’s easy to read during the day. There’s no glare on the screen. I would’ve given five stars if it was a little easier to navigate through books.

Lightweight easy to hold while reading
Lightweight and love the color! There’s a little learning curve between my 2011 kindle and my new one. I bought the new kindle bc my 2011 one will not be supported after May 2026, and from what the email said, whatever books are not downloaded to the device will be inaccessible after the cutoff. Here are pluses and minuses with my new one- Plus: affordable-I paid $109. easy to hold and read. Lightweight fun color. Easy to navigate back and forth from book to library to kindle store. It has a backlight. That’s a plus but also a minus as it will run your battery down faster. Minus: it’s lightweight plastic, my 2011 was a sturdy metal. Remember how the commercials used to say you could drop your kindle? Don’t drop this one! In conclusion, I wish Amazon wasn’t discontinuing support bc my 2011 feels better made. But I bought this to read things, and it’s so light and easy to hold, especially when reading in bed. By the way, if you got an email about discontinuing support for your current device, when you order your new kindle don’t forget to put in the discount code! I forgot. :(
