Perfect tool for my laptop screen replacement

I needed to swap a failing SSD on a Lenovo T440s for a new one. I used two of the five supplied iFixit opening/pry tools to very quickly separate the upper and lower laptop shells. The pry tools are solidly made and robust, yet leave no scratches, unlike cutlery and penknives etc. They also leave your fingernails intact! Having previously purchased an iFixit Mako Precision Bit Set, I was impressed by its quality and I had no hesitation in buying iFixit tools again. I strongly recommend these original iFixit opening tools instead of cheap and nasty copies.

Not used extensively, as early days. I do wonder if these tools are strong enough for tough jobs, only time will tell.

I used one of these spudgers to open up the case of a Garmin® nüvi 1200 GPS so that I could change it's internal battery. Because of it's age (vintage 2000), the double sided tape that Garmin® had used to secure the battery in it's bay had pretty much turned to superglue. There was no way it was going to remove by hand. Enter this little spudger (again) and while it took a little bit of effort, it was successful in getting the old battery out so that I could get the new battery in. Without it, I would probably have wound up damaging the unit while trying to get it out with a butterknife (or something similar).

Ich muss zugeben, am Anfang habe ich nicht gecheckt, dass die Teile Verschleißteile sind. Aber jetzt will ich sie nicht mehr missen! Dieses 5er-Set hat sich als absolutes Must-have für alle herausgestellt, die sich an der Reparatur von Technik versuchen – egal ob Handy, Laptop oder andere Elektronik. Was mich überzeugt hat: Schonend zur Technik: Der weiche Kunststoff hinterlässt wirklich keine Kratzer, egal wie empfindlich die Oberfläche ist. Perfekt für Bildschirme oder glänzende Gehäuse. Unverwüstlich: Es stimmt wirklich – eher bricht das Werkzeug als eure Technik. Und selbst wenn mal ein Teil bricht, sind noch vier weitere im Set. Vielseitig: Ob zum Öffnen von Smartphones, Entfernen von Gehäusedeckeln oder sogar zum vorsichtigen Lösen von Clips in Autos – die Tools sind echte Allrounder. Ergonomisch: Sie liegen gut in der Hand und geben genug Hebelkraft, ohne dass man das Gefühl hat, die Technik könnte Schaden nehmen. Einsatzbeispiele: Mein altes Handy hatte einen kaputten Akku – mit diesen Tools war das Öffnen ein Kinderspiel. Beim Laptop meines Sohnes musste die Tastatur ausgetauscht werden. Ohne Kratzer oder Macken am Gehäuse! Sogar bei einer defekten Fernbedienung hat mir das Set geholfen, ohne dass Plastiksplitter flogen. Fazit: Dieses Set mag unscheinbar wirken, aber es ist eine kleine Revolution für alle, die ihre Technik selbst reparieren möchten. Besonders für Einsteiger ideal, weil die Tools einfach in der Anwendung sind und das Risiko für Beschädigungen fast bei null liegt. Ein Produkt, das hält, was es verspricht – absolute Kaufempfehlung! 🎉
