Well produced book and easy to carry.
I really like the way this book is designed and the size is just right. The maps are large enough to read and accurate being OS based. The walk descriptions are adequate to decide whether or not they are within your own capabilities and generally enough guidance to follow the routes fairly easily. We took an OS map too but did not really use it. Mostly the walks we took we had no problems with but one we had to detour because the footpath had been closed off and another had 'lost' the way mark across a farm field. The biggest issue we had was finding the start of each walk since we had no access to GPS references, and one walk we gave up and went elsewhere. However most people probably have GPS location these days. It would have been useful to have a nearest village type of reference too for my Satnav (which doesn't take GPS co-ordinates!!) All in all I would choose another book in this format again.

Problem with walk 13 (Grwyne Fawr)
The walks look great but the first one weโve done (walk 13 on 30/08/21) had a big problem. The return leg is via the access road to the dam. A landowner has padlocked gates across the road and has a large, aggressive dog on site. She is claiming the road is private property (see picture) and will not allow access as per the book. Either this lady is right and the walk must be updated or she is wrong and access must be allowed. Be warned; attempt this walk and youโll have to retrace your steps or do a risky detour.
