Works great for my Nikon D90 Camera right out of the box.
Easy to use and works perfectly with my Nikon D90 camera. You need to address the settings menu on the camera to enable the wireless function. This replaced my OEM Nikon remote which got lost. I believe this works better and seems to have a longer range. Remember you need to be able to have fairly good line of sight of the camera. My only issue was installing the battery. It is very easy to bend the positive (rim side) contact when putting the battery in. It also wants to pop out. So, a slight struggle getting the hatch to close. Great product and value.

Works Great on my Nikon D40
I was nervous this wouldn't work for my 20 year old Nikon D40 that i still have and use today. Thankfully worked perfectly out of the box. Love the carabiner clip that came with it to attach quickly to my strap. Makes the use of it more useful and easy to grab for sure. The only thing to remember is changing the Nikon camera setting to remote prior to using, until i did that, the remote would not work and i was pretty confused at first.

Value, thick, battery insertion is inconvenient
It was cheap ($8 on Black Friday). Can't buy the official one new anymore (they were ~$20) but there are imitators and used ones. It's twice as thick as the official Nikon ML-L3. The thickness make it easier to find inside a camera bag. The plastic seems flimsy so it may get crushed by the weight of the camera, unlike the official. Inserting the battery is a two- handed operation because the contact spring keeps popping the battery out.

Not bad.
Works pretty well. I've had others that are smaller and easy to lose. I like the hard plastic button better than the soft rubber ones of others that don't always trigger the shutter on the first push. The price was decent. I also like the fact that it has a carabiner to help keep track of it. I haven't had the chance to use it at a distance yet but up close it works well.

Let me down- twice!
Update 2: Returned the original and got a replacement. Replacement doesn’t work right out of the box. Seriously annoyed that Amazon is making me return a $10 defective product at Kohl’s but hey, I can return them both at once and save a trip! I wanted this to work because I love the clip feature but it appears to be junk. Look elsewhere. Update: Replaced the batteries and it still doesn’t work. Got like two practice shots with it before it bit the dust. Save your money! Got this before a hike where I wanted to take some long exposure water shots. It arrived, I opened it, tested it with the camera, all was working great. Put it in my trail pack so it would be ready to use. Two days later, I had set up my camera on the tripod, ready to go- and it didn’t work. I think the battery is already dead.

Got the job done
Bought this last minute as a solution for us going out by ourselves and taking engagement photos in the mountains. We were using a 10+ year old canon DSLR. Set up was easy and use went relatively well. One thing to remember is that it’s not Bluetooth or WiFi, it’s IR so the remote has to be pointed directly at the cameras sensor in order for it to work. The range isn’t very far, taking well placed mid ground shots are at about the outer limits for the remote to work and the remote can’t be used from behind the camera. The clip was nice, made sure I didn’t accidentally drop it. All-in-all, it’s an outdated solution for outdated cameras. Served its only purpose relatively well.

Remote Works As Good As The Original
I thought that I would add to the equipment that I have with the ability to take pictures remotely and came across this item. Once I put the battery in it worked with very little effort.I am very pleased with this purchase, as well as this product.
