YOTON Photo Printer, Picture Printer with 54 Sheets (4"x6") & 1 Ink Ribbon

Update: After my review the manufacturer/seller did reach out and offered a replacement or refund, which was very appreciated. Original review below but I've increased my rating since they stood behind their printer. Was a mess trying to get it to connect, can't do it over wifi unless you have a 2.4ghz setup, so connecting directly is the only option. Couldn't get the USB side of things to connect to anything at all, so wireless is the option. That requires downloading their app, which itself has bad reviews and requires a baffling level of permissions and requests to even try and get it to work. Unless you agree to precise location tracking all the time, it simply won't function and won't connect, along with the usual needing access to your home network, local devices, and of course pictures on the device, some of which makes sense and some of which is clearly just for getting and selling your data. Finally got it to work on android, still not working right on the sole iPhone I've got, and managed to get a few pictures to print and they did come out really well at least. Quality doesn't look any different than pictures printed on a proper full size printer, and the options in the app make adding a white border or small tweaks to the picture pretty easy. Overall it is on the expensive side especially for how flimsy the printer feels, and setting up and connecting is rough, but once it is going it's a decent little printer.

This printer exceeded my expectations! It connect to my phone wirelessly. It's very easy to use, and the companion app offers lots of great features for editing photos, and creating collages before printing. The print quality is excellent, and the photo paper is thick and high quality. Printing is a little slower than I expected, but it's not bothersome. I also love that it can print many photos in a row without overheating. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

The color quality is phenomenal and the lamination of the pictures after are chefs kiss! Only thing I don’t like but doesn’t require less than 5 stars is the amount of pictures per cartridge. They can become costly only because ink is not sold by itself but you can use other photo paper. The speed of printing is fine don’t even notice.

Four stars mostly because the app is sort of wonky. I love this printer a lot! It fits perfectly on my desk, the quality of the prints are clear and crisp. (If you have a dark photo I recommend adjusting the brightness before printing) I’ve been using this to make stickers and prints of my digital art for selling and it works great!! It hold a lot of paper at a time, is easy to assemble/disassemble, and is a decent price! I don’t see it being easily portable but I don’t really need to move it anyways. I haven’t noticed any jamming, but I don’t really print out too much at a time, so not much to say about that. Overall, great printer! App could use some tweaking but I think this is a great alt if you wanna make high quality stickers like me but can’t afford expensive sticker makers.

do not buy!! This thing sucks. The app never loads and takes ages to connect to the printer and when it prints it’s blurry and the layering colors don’t match up. I do not recommend

This little printer is pretty sweet. It came with everything you need and was easy to put together and to install the app on my phone. It took me a few tries to get the phone connected to the printer but I eventually figured it out. The app has lots of little things you can add to your pictures like text and stickers and you can make collages out of multiple photos as well. The little paper tray that sticks out of the printer disconnects easily and has a lid to keep the picture sheets contained inside of it. The printer takes about a minute to print a photo so its not the fastest but I think thats ok. I doubt you would want to print a ton of pics at a time with this thing anyway. I like that it doesnt take up much space and could be portable if you want. The pictures come out really good. Way better than I expected.

I was skeptical at first, this is small and compact, easy to use with mobile device not so with computer (Mac), need to install an app in order to use it and once everything is ready for usage, its simple. connects fast, the quality of the pictures are better than what I imagined, its not loud but you can still hear it doing its thing. I haven't had an issue with it jamming up on me. It works like a charm just like it says it does. I forgot to take a picture or even a video while using it but its definitely an item you would like to try out especially if you love having print out pictures for your album.

Lo primero que llama la atención al sacarla de la caja es lo pequeña que es. No ocupa nada y es fácil de colocar en cualquier sitio o llevársela a donde haga falta. La configuración con el iPhone fue rápida e intuitiva, sin complicaciones. La app conecta bien y es fácil de entender desde el primer momento. Solo hice una prueba con una foto y el resultado fue muy bueno, como se puede ver en la imagen que subí. La tecnología de sublimación térmica funciona de forma diferente a las impresoras de tinta líquida habituales: en lugar de depositar tinta sobre el papel, usa calor para transferir los colores del cartucho directamente a la superficie de la foto en tres pasadas, una por cada color base, más una capa protectora final. El resultado es una foto con colores integrados en el papel, no depositados encima, lo que la hace más resistente a las huellas, la humedad y el paso del tiempo. Sobre las 54 fotos incluidas: llega con un cartucho de tinta y 3 packs de papel de 18 hojas cada uno, haciendo ese total de 54. Y a diferencia de las impresoras de tinta líquida donde puedes quedarte sin un color concreto antes de tiempo, con la sublimación térmica el cartucho está diseñado para exactamente el número de fotos que dice. Si pone 54, son 54, sin sorpresas a mitad del cartucho. De momento solo tengo esa primera prueba, pero la impresión inicial es muy buena. Actualizaré si con el uso continuado hay algo que comentar.

I received this product free of charge through the Amazon Vine program, and these are my honest thoughts. I've got thousands of photos sat on my phone that I'll probably never look at again unless something reminds me they're there 😅 Thought it'd be nice to actually print a few for a change instead of just endlessly scrolling through them. Tbh I was expecting the setup to be the hardest part. Wi-Fi printers don't exactly have the best reputation 😂 I followed the instructions, got it connected and it was a lot less painful than I'd built it up to be. First photo I printed was one of the dog because... priorities 😂 I was half expecting it to come out looking washed out or a bit blurry, but it genuinely looked better than I thought it would. Colours looked natural and there was a lot more detail than I was expecting from something this size. I had a little play around with the app afterwards. There's quite a few bits in there like borders, filters etc. I probably won't use most of them if I'm honest, but I can definitely see people getting creative with scrapbooks or little photo albums. Worth mentioning it comes with paper to get you started as well, which I always appreciate. Nothing worse than opening something up then realising you've got to order extra bits before you can even use it. The only reason I've knocked half a star off is because it doesn't work with Macs, which won't bother everyone obviously, but it does feel like a bit of an odd omission these days. ★★★★½ - Very Good
