Great model, fun to build BUT trying to get te second bank of piston heads into the chambers (step 427) nearly made me smash the while thing

Great gift for a car enthusiast
Brought as a gift and went down a treat great present for this price point. Very complex and looks great on display, without the need to spend a crazy amount. The build looks great and the pieces were all there A nice multi day build

Missing parts
Bought for Christmas gift while building it half way through found missing parts

Not worth the money, don’t buy.
What started as an enjoyable build soon turned sour when I found that lots of parts were missing. It took from 7th January 2026 to 5th February 2026 to get the majority of the missing pieces. Some are still missing. I didn’t know what parts were missing until I was well into the build otherwise I would have returned it for a refund. I am an experienced model maker and found the instruction booklet was very poor. Being printed on shiny paper didn’t help either. Wouldn’t recommend this product.

Great idea, quality control needs work (August 2025)
Missing an entire packet of lego, this unit was returned without replacement.

Expensive
It’s ok, but not what I expected, it’s like Lego but more complicated, I was expecting pistons and con rods to assemble, not tiny plastic pegs

Très bon produit.
Super emballage.

Seemed as good or better than the actual Lego Technics kits I have built
I have only been building Legos since about Christmas when my brother gave me a Technics Mars Rover. Built that one quick (I have a background in building 1/24 scale auto models so that helps some) and soon after bought and built the Technics Lunar Outpost rover and Technics Unimog, all successfully with all features operating as they should. So with that limited experience, it was with some trepidation that I ventured into third-party manufacturer territory, something I was warned against by my brother/mentor/tormentor. But he was mostly referring to knockoff sets mimicking genuine Lego sets and this engine kit didn't seem to be anything like that. Be that as it may, I immediately noticed some things about this Nifeliz engine kit that I liked, starting with them supplying small boxes to keep and sort your pieces in! Printed little fold up boxes. Really neat. Also immediately apparent was the quality of the packaging and instruction manual. First rate all the way. The parts seemed identical to Lego Technic parts in every way, same familiar "snap" when mating up, seemingly same plastic formulation, perhaps a bit more glossy in finish, and the fit was just as good if not better. Design of components and subcomponents seemed first class and everything seemed to fit as it should. As for the build, no surprises, all parts present and accounted for, instructions for the most part easily followed and executed. The hardest part of assembly was attaching the heads to the engine block, the first one wasn't that big of a deal (keep in mind you have to insert all four (round) pistons on that side into the (square) cylinders and then maneuver the head and block around to actually get the contact points to match and mate up), but attaching the second head to the block/first head assembly was a bit trying...as in trying it multiple times before I got it right. The instructions themselves were clear and well illustrated, again as good or better as Lego itself, but with the understanding that sometimes you do have to study the illustrations carefully, especially when joining pieces with multiple contact areas and connectors. And of course you have to be able to follow instructions to begin with as with any of these block building kits. When completed, the engine does rotate, the crankshaft moving the pistons up and down via connecting rods, the camshafts (4 total) rotating and opening simulated valves, all that done via chains assembled by the user (no big deal, just a bit monotonous). I did clear a bit of an obstruction to the #1 piston when I attached the first head to the block and noticed it when rotating the crankshaft, but I neglected to note if it was the same on the other head because frankly its just too tough to get together to trifle with a detail like that. Consequently there does seem to be a slight notch in the rotation where I imagine the rod passes that obstruction (a "cross" connector pushed in just a bit too far) and that might be a result of my negligence in not clearancing the second head assembly. It could also be that the funny little horizontal fan that is in the intake manifold valley is jamming up as its driveshaft and u-joints seem to be binding and this seems to happen at the place the "notch" occurs in the rotation. Either way, with just a little more care or forewarning during assembly I have no doubt this engine would spin over more perfectly but it is adequate as it is now. All in all, it took me probably 40 hours to build, working an hour or two at a time over the course of a couple weeks, and it does look cool on the shelf. The working and moving features are all very interesting and well worth the effort to put the thing together. With those details in mind I would suggest buying with confidence when considering this engine kit, and if the rest of Nifeliz's products are as well designed and buildable as this one is, I am looking forward to building more. Now I am wondering how some of these other "MOC" creators' kits are!

A pesar de que son bastantes piezas el instructivo venía completo y ya armado está súper padre porque algunas piezas se mueven simulando un motor, se lo regalé a mi novio y le gustó mucho!
