These Govee Christmas Lights are hands down the best holiday lights I’ve ever bought. They’re so cool! Each light can be a different color, and you can pick from millions of options. The way the lights flow and change colors is honestly so pretty. I’ve used them on my Christmas tree, my patio, and even some plants inside, and they always look amazing. There are tons of presets—like over 125 different modes—so no matter what vibe you’re going for, there’s something that works. I’ve used them for Christmas, parties, and even just for fun, and they make everything feel more festive. The music sync feature is probably my favorite, though. The lights actually move to the beat of the music, which makes them perfect for parties or just dancing around the house. They’re also super durable. They’re waterproof, can handle the cold, and are flexible enough to wrap around anything. I don’t have to worry about them breaking or not holding up outdoors, which is a big deal. Another cool thing is the DIY options. You can create your own effects or even upload a picture or text to inspire a new look. It’s super easy to use, and you can make something totally unique without spending a ton of time. Honestly, these lights are just awesome. They’ve made decorating so much more fun, and I know I’ll be using them for way more than just Christmas. If you’re thinking about upgrading your lights, these are totally worth it!

Setup was significantly easier than fighting with my old strings of lights we used previously. I wanted something that was fun for the kids and easier for me. This product, is both. And the quality is pretty great so far. No problems at all. I already have another Govee product, so getting the lights connected and going only took a few seconds. The instructions said to place the disc higher on the tree than I preferred. So, I tied it down about 4 inches or so lower, then used a few extra branches to wrap around the disc to hide it, which works great and you can barely see it now. Once the disc is on, it took maybe 2 minutes to untie the strands and spread them out. I didnt have any tangled strands to deal with, which was fantastic! I will say, the green strands are pretty obvious and don't blend in very well when the lights are off. We have a black tree, and the cords are green, so that might be a factor. But!... when the lights are on, its not so obvious and we have the lights on all the time so its not a big deal for us. The app (which is pretty much used as the remote control) is easy to use and after playing with it for a few minutes and learning all of the options, the kids were ready to get on and make their own custom light creations. We've settled on the red and white rotating scene that my daughter made because it matches the ornaments. They like taking turns putting on their own light choices. There are even game settings on the lights to play and interact with which was surprising, yet awesome for the kids to have fun with. I have already sent the link to my friend because she wants one now also.

This was our second Govee purchase, after the permanent outdoor lights we installed. We were looking for something that would easily go on the tree, instead of stringing up multiple strings that never seemed to go even around the tree. Install is super easy; you just connect the extender and halo to the top of the tree with some zip ties, undo the three mesh strands, and work the light mesh out until it's draped over the tree. We did notice a bit of uneveness based on the shape of the tree, but nothing outrageous. We did have to move the stand bottoms inside the tree collar so they weren't as enticing to the cats. With the app, which is super easy to connect to and use, you can do all kinds of different designs. There are preset patterns, fun designs like a Christmas tree circling around the tree, or ones that other people have uploaded. You can even design your own pattern and design if you want! You can also set schedules for when you want the lights to on and off. The lights themselves have a vibrant color, and at maximum brightness, are REALLY bright! We had to set the brightness lower (in the app!) so they weren't quite so overwhelming. When Christmas is over, taking it off the tree is almost as easy as installing it, but with a little more caution when taking it off so you don't accidentally break any wires caught on a branch. I didn't have any trouble getting the three strands back together, and was even able to get it back in the box with only a little bulge!

We have several Govee products and these tree lights might be my favorite. They installed on the tree easily and set up with the app was seamless. They also integrated with our Alexa system with no issues. The brightness can be adjusted so that it’s perfect for the room. Govee has always had great quality products so I know it’s worth the money spent. The pre-set options are great but I love the ability to DYI your own patterns/colors. There are also lots of fun options within the app through community sharing of other people’s DYI submissions. My family’s favorite feature was the lights responding to sound. Highly recommend these lights!!

Easy to set up, good quality. It looks really good when it's dark. During the day time the wires are visible. I like the different patterns, the light is bright.

Setup was very simple. Be sure to read the directions BEFORE you attempt to unwrap the lights. They’re velcro wrapped into 3 sections for easy distribution. Easy setup through the Govee Home app. You can choose from various scenes and create a DIY color scene. If you’re already setup for other Govee lights such as the curtain lights you can easily add the Christmas tree lights. The colors are very bright and beautiful beyond words! You have the option to dim the lights if you so choose to. I highly recommend these lights! It’s an added bonus if you also have the curtain lights. They go beautifully together. And no I wasn’t paid to right this review. I RARELY ever right reviews. That’s how much I love these lights!

These lights are wonderful. As recent empty nesters, this is the first year with an artificial tree. We opted to go for these lights at first to make decorating easy. After putting them on, I am annoyed we did not do it sooner. They are awesome. They flash to music, sounds, or any number of programmed visuals. We have several trees, and I will say, make sure you put these on a tree between 7-9 feet. Outside if that, thin or thick, these are great. Oh, and they work nicely with Apple HomeKit and Home Assistant.
