Excellent multi band hand held radio
Very nice VHF UHF multi band hand held radio with many features. Easy to reach most repeaters in the area with the avility to copy local FM radio stations. Built in flashlight. Used the the downloaded software to easily program the repeaters. It can be easily be charged by using a USB regular cellular power supply. Is very small and solid built radio. Extremely competitive price .Another Great addition to the XHDATA family of excellent radios!

Impressive VHF and UHF radio!!
This VHF and UHF receiver is truly outstanding! The performance across both bands is simply amazing, providing crystal-clear reception. The audio quality is also fantastic โ rich and easy to listen to. The inclusion of FM, air, and weather bands makes it incredibly versatile and useful. I was particularly impressed with the commercial FM band reception; it went far beyond my expectations! I can consistently pick up weak and distant FM stations that I also tune in on my other, more specialized radios. Highly recommended!

A good everyday GMRS radio to consider for several reasons
This is a great GMRS multi band use radio for the price. It is one of my everyday carry radios that also has NOAA NWS, and FM band that makes it a good one for severe weather season and to take along to my son's baseball game so I can listen to MLB broadcasts on FM and skywarn activities. I can use it with my family for our GMRS activities when out and about. I just wish it also had the military UHF aircraft band for the US. I like that it has a USB C charging port make it more compatible with charging cords. Always have a copy of the manual handy when not programming with software. Worth considering since it is a good XHADATA product.

Oddly quiet and doesn't seem to work in channel mode
I was with a group, each of us bringing our new walkie talkies. So this was an efficient way to test a bunch of model and brands at once. We all switched to Channel 16 and this one simply didn't work (everyone else's did). It was on the wrong frequency or something. Then changing it to VFO frequency mode and manually going to the proper frequency worked, but the speaker was very quiet. It essentially didn't work for our use-case, which in my defense, is a normal use-case lol. I'm returning and getting a Motorola model that is well-proven (T803)

Overall its a great radio to throw in your travel bag when hiking , traveling or out for the day. Adding to an Emergency bag will give you the piece of mind with a small flashlight built in as well as the previously mention NOAA weather frequencies and FM radio as well.

Junk
Worked after the first complete charge, never worked again. Cheap, but not worth it. Could not be more unhappy. I live 2 miles from the airport and could barely hear the AWOS, and then shut it off, never turned on again and outside of the warranty. Do not buy this, waste of money

Great Chi-Junk
For what it is I guess it's good enough. That seems to be what we settle for anymore. Price dictates our opinions about functionality and quality. Price wise it's the greatest radio in the entire world. But if we leave price off of it it's really junk. Stick with Japanese made radios or else this is all we'll have left.
