So I have bought a ton of key board wrist rests over the years and I was a little skeptical about spending 30.00 on this one but decided to give it a shot. I received the package which was in a cool box and opened it up, to my delight unlike any order I have ever placed on amazon there was a greeting message. It was addressed "Greeting, people of the Realm! The castle Company is led by a team of peasants in Eugene, Oregon. Our products are forged in the fires of Innovation" so on an so forth. It really set the tone for the whole purchasing experience and made me feel like I was not contributing to some large corporation but instead, a small thoughtful and creative company who are determined to exceed customer expectations. The product itself was made out of high quality leather that had graphics stamped in opposing corners, you could tell that the product designer really did his research to see what the best fit for a modern office would be. I was also once gamer in my younger years and really liked the name Castle Co. as well. The white stitching around the border was clean and added the perfect accent that could fit in any desk or office space. The backing of the wrist rest had perfect non slip felt which I like much better than rubber, because I like adjust the position the position without having a rubber squeaking noise. And it did not slide around while I am typing either! The ergonomically shaped wrest was also shaped as such to not get in the way of my typing (primarily space bar) as well as not being too high off the desk which makes my fingers have to crane down to the keyboard (a lot of my other wrist rests have had too large of a "hump" that made them obnoxious to use. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

***UPDATE 2025: These leather wrist rests are hands-down (pun intended) the best! I have a second one now. The original full size rest is still good. My 2nd is the shorter (length) tenkeyless. I am happy to report that the quality and design were actually upgraded. The newer rest is heavier and has a rubber bottom, both of which help keep it from sliding around. The foam also seems to be more resilient. Even though I've been using it for nearly 3 years already, there are no signs of the depressions in the top of the rest as in the original one. The leather is of the same quality at least and is holding up beautifully. These are much thicker (from desk surface to top of rest) rests than average, which I find to be ergonomically much better at achieving a neutral wrist angle, especially if you use a regular thickness keyboard like most mechanicals. I can't imagine a more premium wrist rest for comfort and durability. Keep doing what you're doing, Castle! ***Original Review: I wanted a firm wrist/palm wrest for typing. This is that. The soft gel and foam wrests don't work well for me. This has some kind of firm foam inside a solid leather cover that has held it's shape for 2-3 years pretty well. There is some slight depression where my hands rest on it now, but it should be good for a few another 3-4 years before I need to replace it. Easy to clean, no quality issues. Lighter weight than I expected, but it hasn't been a problem. It's a bit expensive, but I buy what works when I use something all the time.

So this wrist rest was $35 when I purchased it -- I can tell you that it's a very nice wrist rest. It has a firm feel to it (not all mushy like other wrist rests), and has a "pleathery" feel to it -- so if don't like this type of feeling, definitely don't purchase it. It is the perfect size for my keyboard both in width and height. It seems like very very high quality, and can't imagine this degrading anytime soon. I will say it definitely doesn't feel like genuine leather, and it has a very slight "hump" in the middle -- I'm hoping this goes away over time. So overall I'd say it's a 4-star. If it were about $10 cheaper, minus the slight hump, and a bit more of a leather feeling, I'd gladly give it 5-stars. *UPDATE on 12/06/2018: I was able to gently bend the product so that it now lies perfectly flat on the desk. Also it appears that it is $5 cheaper now at $30.00. I'd definitely give this 4.5 stars... just needs to be a little bit cheaper!

I have been using this wrist rest for Keyboards for YEARS, and I have purchased it several times through multiple websites. I'm very happy to see it available on Amazon now. I've tried multiple wrist wrests, and I think this is the one that will do what I want. Cloth wrapped pads aren't easily cleanable, this one is leather I can clean easily. Most foam pads wear in pretty quickly and have divots where my wrist sets. This one is VERY firm. Wood wrests are OK, but I always wished they had just a bit of give/cushion...this one seems to be in the goldilocks zone...just right. Other pads I've tried have had various issues, from height issues, to plastic frames that dug into my wrist as the foam broke down. On top of all that, it was difficult to find one with all the features I was looking for AND in tenkeyless size. Obviously only time will tell if this holds up, but I feel it will. The quality seems top notch. If I remember, I'll come back and edit the review after some months or years of usage!

Super impressed. Honestly was just buying this to use as a temp while I wait for another but that might change now, going to have to do a real comparison when the other comes in. I could tell as soon as I saw the box that this business cared about their craft. The is some nice artwork on the box that identifies with the brand of the company and upon open the box there is a personalized brand rich letter to the seller that I can really appreciate and really speaks of their heart in their brand. Anyways, onto the actual rest. I admit I didn't read the description just looked like a nice wrest that could serve my needs temporarily and they made the size I need also seemed cool that it was leather which you don't see too much of. As soon as you pick it up you know it's quality. It has some heft to it which I now saw is due to a metal plate for a nice weight to it. The part that took me by surprise is the stiffness of it, as somone who knows you're not supposed to actually be using the wrist rest to type constantly this is a great reminder to fix your form but it's there when you need it. Size is perfect and it looks pretty sweet too. Saw there may have been some issues about it not laying flat due to the stiffness of it, maybe since I have the compact version but I do not have this problem. Lays perfectly flat for me. Give it a try it's pretty sweet.

This review is going to have a lot of bias and specific applications because I am THAT kind of person when it comes to wrists rests. First of all it is a little on the thin side. Which is perfectly fine because I can use this rest at work on their low profile cheap, wireless Microsoft keyboards and save my wrists from aching 8 hours a day. But for home I need a much higher up rest for my "normal" to large sized keyboards. In which case this thing is rendered useless. Second of all this thing is pretty stiff. I absolutely would prefer to have a soft, cushiony, pillowy wrist rest over anything else. People who use polished wood or even marble give me carpal tunnel just looking at them! That being said this is no where as stiff or hard as wood. It is a leather rest tightly backed with... something... which makes it playable but stiff and not as comfortable. Though I understand that it being shorter in height rest that you can't exactly stuff it with fluffy Spring clouds and a Sleep Number bed. So this is one of those cases where it was not a good fit for me but it could be perfect for someone else. The bottom is coated in some rubber grip which is awesome as even some of my favorite wrist rests don't have that. This thing will not budge on your desk. The stitching and leather is pretty damn good. Really high quality it seems. I don't suspect this thing will be falling apart in the near future. It doesn't have the shine that it seems to have in the picture which is a good thing in my opinion. It's a soft matte leather and I thought that by the picture I was going to be getting some kind of glossy oily lazy boy leather or something which I don't prefer. All in all yeah this wrist rest is good but it's just not what I was looking for in a wrist rest due to the stiffness and short height. And the while the price tag may be worth it to some, it surely wasn't worth it to me as a work rest for a wireless MS keyboard lol. Edit 6/12/2018 I am revisiting this review dissapointed. The wrist rest keeps bending upwards and rocking on my desk. It's warped and I can't seem to bend it back into a straight line. Suddenly this product is just not worth what they want for it. Sad.

Fantastic product! I have carpal tunnel issues, and it gets awful at times, but this wrist rest has saved my life. I love everything about this product, beginning with the quality of the material, packaging, and marketing materials. Most importantly, it works well. I 100% recommend this product. Now, I am getting the mouse/mouse wrist support from Castel. The product has a good fit, firmness, durability, awesome leather color (black), and is very comfortable.

I kept the box because I loved how it looked. You can tell that the people who make this really cared for their product. The wrist rest also looks great and seems very durable.

I got this Leather wrist rest because my hands get sweaty when gaming which is not good when using cloth wrist rests. It is so firm, but can get used to it. However, the smell of the product, I cant differentiate whether its the rubber beneath or the leather, is so strong and annoying. I recommend you to let it sit in air for a couple of days or a week before using. Good product overall and the packaging was good, received the product in good condition and in a short time.

Nice leather but it’s a bit hard foam they used

Heavier than expected, really solid, well built unit. The leather feels great, very firm. perfect size all around. Doesn't slide around on my desk. We'll worth the asking price.
