I have purchased VIOFO 239 pro channel after an extensive study and comparison. The Starvis 2 is simply awesome at rainy and low light conditions. You may upgrade to a 3 channel set up at any point of time.I was using yet another model which was no where there near to VIOFO S image quality. More over the TECHNICAL SUPPORT by MR VIJAY is SIMPLY GREAT!!! Images are very good and quality of product and videos are very clear. Night shots are also very good. I have not hardwired it as it may void the car warranty. But using through the 12volt socket in the car. I have also activated the parking mode on through the mobile app.

Have installed A 229 Pro 2 Ch in Harrier. It has incredible features and a user-friendly interface that makes it easier to use. Real time syncing between Product and Mobile.

This camera has been worth its weight in gold.I had the previous Viofo camera on my old car, the camera which still provides excellent video footage.The newer dual camera set up is great.You get really crisp 4K frontal footage which is key if you get into some (god forbid) accident and need to establish causality/fault.The rear camera also has really clear footage.The parking mode is excellent. Get the hardware and connect it through to your fuse box (you’ll need to buy separate fuse box taps for that).Oh and longevity. The camera can bake in the sun or freeze in the winter. Doesn’t matter. Has always powered up and never has let me down.This company makes proper dash cams.Pricier but sooooo much more well built.If you drive in a place with dumb drivers, definitely get a proper dash cam.The A229 is a proper dash cam

I installed the VIOFO A229 Pro in a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe and hardwired it with the HK4 kit. Install was pretty straightforward and once everything was set up it worked exactly like I wanted. It switches into parking mode when the vehicle is shut off and goes back to normal recording when it’s started.The 4K front camera was the main reason I went with the Pro instead of the A229 Plus. Picture quality is excellent so far. It’s sharp, HDR handles bright skies and darker areas well, and the view is wide without looking overly distorted. I only have the front camera installed right now but plan to add the 2K rear camera later.GPS works well and can put speed, coordinates, date and time on the footage. The 5GHz Wi-Fi connection to the app has also been good. Once connected, it’s easy to change settings, look through recordings and download clips.Mounting is all 3M adhesive. There is no suction cup included. I actually prefer the adhesive mount for something that’s going to stay installed because it feels solid and doesn’t move around or have to fight the heat.One thing I did run into was the memory card. I originally used a 256GB SanDisk High Endurance card and formatted it in the camera. Within the first day I started getting a “chip slow” warning along with repeated beeping. I ended up replacing it with VIOFO’s 256GB Industrial Grade card. I’d recommend sticking with one of VIOFO’s approved cards from the start, especially with how much data the camera is writing in 4K.Overall I’m very happy with it so far. The video quality is excellent, parking mode works properly with the HK4 kit, GPS and Wi-Fi are useful, and I like being able to add the rear camera later without replacing the whole setup. My only real complaint is that you need to pay attention to memory card compatibility.
