There is no thread count. The cover is a fabric you can wipe down with a damp cloth. The interior is filled with feathers which, by the way, is very comfortable. A pillow that molds to your head and stays that way until you awaken. I bought the soft.

two different thread counts listed, which is correct? 300 or 500?

The one that I ordered off Amazon is 500 thread count. I also have a pillow zippered cover that protects the pillow and then the pillow case.

I believe this is made where everything else is made China or somewhere overseas. The break down is 30% goose down & 70% goose feathers! Also 100% Cotton shell. Nice pillow
