Perfect kettle for travelling
It was a gift for my son. He’s very pleased with it and said it is the right size to take travelling.

Excellent quality
An high quality kettle and worthy of it's price tag. A thick base means a slightly longer boil time but it will last a lifetime. Recommended.

Essential camping gear.
Been without a decent kettle - tea pot for a long time now in my tent until this came along. Use this on the tent stove daily when out camping. Recommended as a must have.!

Perfect
I really love this, it's well made and sturdy. We use it on the fire pit and it's just lovely to use. You can get 2 lovely big cups of tea or coffee out of it. Overall, no regrets.

Also: Der Winter kann jetzt erst mal kommen!

Pros: Quality, Stainless steel, easy to see if it's clean, nice thick bottom, aesthetically pleasing Cons: No whistle, need potholder to pour when hot (not big issues at all) I've had this tea kettle for about 2 months. Previously over the past 6 or 7 years I've had two different electric tea kettles that both eventually broke (and used a small saucepan for a long time to heat water in between the first one breaking and getting second one and after the second one broke). Despite liking the convenience of the electric tea kettle, I didn't want to make another purchase that would also eventually go in the landfill. I saw this as #1 a poor use of money and #2 a poor use of resources just for a short time of convenience. So I decided to go old-school. I knew I didn't want a standard cheap tea kettle like one I had growing up that pretty much no one ever wanted to use: exterior painted/enameled a bright color with a black plastic handle, with the dark interior of mystery that eventually got kinda weird or rusty. After doing quite a bit of research trying to find a non made-in-china kettle, I was between the glass one with a plastic handle made in the USA, a Japanese made one that had kind of a 90s spacey design with a plastic handle, or this one that was all stainless steel and German engineered but made in china. I decided the glass one was too fragile since I was looking for longevity. The Japanese had mostly good reviews but some negative and I didn't really like the aesthetics of it or the plastic. So I decided to go for this one, despite being made in china by a German company. I liked that it had good reviews and that it seemed super durable since you could use it in a campfire. I'm a former park ranger and aspirational minimalist and enjoy a low-tech--one might say "primal"--lifestyle, so it feels like an "essential" piece, if that makes sense. I see it as an investment piece that will last forever. I have been very pleasantly surprised by how nice it has been to use. I thought it would be a steep learning curve with no automatic shut off or even whistle given my tendency to forget things, but it really hasn't been an issue. The transition has been pretty effortless and the amount of joy that it brings me is kind of silly! :D I think it's the fact that I've found a quality item that I feel content and satisfied will be with me for a long time and that it works so well. Something becoming truly rare these days! It's encouraged me to continue on the path of seeking out things that are higher quality, maybe more expensive, and "old school," due to the fragility of technology--especially mass-produced technology. Less is more! You may pay a little more up front, but in the long run you will pay way less from not having to replace it and you get way more enjoyment from owning a quality item.
