VERY IMPRESSED WITH THESE SHADES!!!!
We recently had new windows installed and we wanted some nice shades for our living room picture window which consists of 3 windows measuring a total of 94 inches wide by 64 inches tall. We checked out several places for custom made easy lift shades. The prices we were quoted for 2 shades measuring 23 inches wide and 1 shade measuring 48 inches wide were anywhere between $800 all the way up to $1500.00. We couldn't justify paying as much or more for the shades as we did for the windows so we decided to do a little online shopping and found these shades at Amazon.com. We were a little hesitant to purchase without seeing the product in advance but because of Amazon.com's return policy, we decided we had nothing to lose so we went and ordered them. We are SO GLAD WE DID!!!! We purchased one shade at 48 by 64 inches and two shades at 36 by 64 inches for a total of $100.00. These shades are VERY similar to the more expensive shades we've been shown. With the exception of the sizing and installation we honestly cannot see or tell any difference at all. The installation was extremely easy, the shades glide up and down just as good as the custom made shades we looked at. We did have a little problem with cutting the shades with the kitchen knife as suggested in the instructions so we used a utility knife razor instead which did an excellent job, we got a very clean and smooth cut. We did not purchase the darkening shades but these shades do filter the sun light pretty well even though that was not our main concern because the windows do all the filtering. We've only had the shades for a short time so we are a little curious and anxious to see how well and how long they hold up but for the time being, they look very nice, they definitely provide privacy and we are EXTREMELY pleased with our purchase. We have already had several very nice compliments regarding the way they look and operate....this has definitely been a wise purchase for us. We got exactly what we wanted and saved a whole lot of $$$$$! We highly recommend these shades!

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY SHEETS INSTEAD
These shades were great for about a year...but one by one the adhesive failed. So I glued them. Then the plastic became brittle and began to rip. So I fixed the plastic. Then the mechanisms failed...and now I have these garbage things hanging like bits of phlegm from my my windows. If you are in a dorm, or renting a house these MIGHT work, but SHEETS WORK BETTER! They are big (cut to size!). You can hang them with nails and tape. And they are cheap! $9.99 for these babies. And if you move you can sleep on them, double win. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XK9CU6K/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_aUZHCbA9CJ62F But if you buy these shades you will regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But probably a few days after tomorrow. Like me, you'll have to take them all down after measuring ALL the windows in your house, then scrape off the glue and then buy better ones on amazon and install those. All this because I thought I could save some money on some stupid window shades. I was wrong and I'm sorry now. but it's too late. Don't be like me. Be smarter than me. You are worth it.

Perfect for above NYC window A/C
I have on of those wonderful (sarcastic) extra long windows in an older Manhattan apartment. I have to use window curtains because it's the only thing long enough to cover the windows. Curtains look fantastic. Problem is, with an A/C window unit, I could not close my curtains at night because the A/C needed to pull in and blow out the air. Plus, there is something about any person walking down a NYC sidewalk being able to see into my apartment that disturbed me. I was tired of rolling my curtain up against my A/C unit every night. This was the perfect solution! When the A/C is in the window, I can just pull down the Easy Lift shade and instant privacy! It does't block hardly any light, just diffuses it a bit, which was another great feature. The adhesive works fine but you have to clean the area first before applying it. The shade is cheap but doesn't look the part. The plastic piece came cracked from shipping, but it was nothing I couldn't live without, and obviously has nothing to do with any flaws to the shade itself. Wish they made these in an even longer model.

I love everything about this
I love everything about this... except for the adhesive. We have a knockdown wall that these are installed on. Every morning, for a week, that I came downstairs -- the blinds had fallen. I had to screw it in, and eventually even put superglue on the top to keep them on. Overall they are very functional and awesome, I'm just disappointed that they didn't stick to my textured wall.

Mangled mess to timely replacement to will never buy again
I received this item as you see here. One was in a separate box the other was rattling around in the much bigger box. Tape had been pulled off. Top and bottom rail mangled. After receiving a replacement from Amazon .... quickly might I add. The product has been upgraded to 5 stars. Iโm familiar with this brand. I have bought their product back in the early 90โs. Before cords was outlawed by parents. The product is of easy to cut and install, but will disappoint because the actual fabric comes away from the head rail. Woke up in middle of night found the blinds had come away from the top rail. The fabric is wrapped around the top rail like a channel and glued on . Iโm going to see if I can return them ( since they have been cut to size) I would never purchase this product again.

Got the job done
Moved into a new house and needed window covering. Local stores did not have the exact size we needed so I thought I'd give these a try. Not perfect, but you can't beat the price. Bought 2 to try and liked them enough to get 2 more. Trimming to size is simple with a kitchen knife. Measure and cut both ends, very simple to do. I was concerned about using the adhesive tape mount, but they are in place and holding well for a few weeks now. Takes only seconds to install. After a year, the shades not used are still fine. The shades in bedrooms that go up and down a couple of times a week are problematic. The plastic at the bottom is very thin and is now breaking in my hands. In a window rarely used, they are fine but for a regular use, look for better.

Cost, Value, and it Works!
I needed a quick, affordable and appealing solution. For about $23.00 these are a great value as long as you understand what you're getting. These are by no means the $100.00+ blinds you'd get at a DYI store or Blind Shop. But they're easy to trim and install, I installed both in under 10 minutes. They look great and function as expected. Time will tell as to their durability, but I don't expect to be moving them up and down very often since I got them to trim up a window and block the daylight heat extremes, and cut down on cooling costs. If you're on a tight budget, and just need something as a quick solution to improve the appeal of a room and knock down the cooling costs, these are the perfect option. Nothing but a sharp knife required, no screws, anchors or drilling required. Anyone can install these, including your 10 year old. These are a great option until you can afford the ones you want later. Perfect for a rental home or dorm. Wish they had these when I was Active Duty they would have saved me tons of $$$ for all the crappy military housing that never fit the last set of blinds I bought.

Not worth the money, these things are low quality
Wow this thing is cheap! I knew for sure it would be pretty crappy considering that you have to trim it down with A KITCHEN KNIFE but i had a laundry room that i didnt want to spend much money on to get some privacy. All of the plastic housing for the shade is made of the disposavle type of plastic that holds electronics in their boxes (or live the really thin plastic cups in the doctors office lobby), the thin white stuff. At first i was qurious as to how the mechanism worked because you trim the thing, so where is the mechanism housed? Basically you just trip half of what you need off of each side up to the pount of where you get to the mechanism, which is house in the revurse of where the normal cordless shades are, they are notmally up in the top, and mount to the window frame, whereas with this one the parts are in the part that you pull down, and the way you mount it is with a double sided sticky foam tape to the top of the window frame, it is my suspicion that this adhesive will not last very long, but we will see... The other issue with the setup and also the mechanism housing is that it is made of the same very thin plastic, so as you grab it to pull it down you will crease and crack the plastic, and also it has no handle to pull down with so you are pulling directly on the cheap plastic or on the white shades themselves, so make sure you clean your hands before you uver pull them down. This also creates an issue with how far down you can pull the shades, you can only pull them down as far as the thickness of our hand, otherwise you could pull your hand and the shade out of the window a little bit, then push it back up into the window. All and all i think they they should have been more like $9.99 for the value, then i would have been "happy" with them. But for $30 most of the online blinds and shades websites have a "value" option that is about $30 and is WAY nicer. one example is "stevesblindsandwallpaper" they have a $30 option that is custom cut and good quality. I would not recommend this item to a friend and i would not ever purchase one again, just too cheap quality for the price.

Measured, cut and installed in 30 min!
I ordered two of these shades to dress my two new windows. I am very pleased with them so far! They've only been up a short time and so far they are staying put. My concern was that the adhesive wouldn't be strong enough to hold - time will tell but so far so good. Easy to measure, cut and install. The hardest part for me was peeling the ruler sticker off once I was finished cutting. They do not peel off smoothly, instead coming off in tiny little pieces. Annoying. I used a bit of water to moisten them after a bit and that made it a little easier. GooGone would work well but I don't have any. Assuming these stay where they are supposed to (don't loose their stickiness) I will purchase more in the future for other windows.

bottoms crooked, no end caps, mechanism jams
May 24, 2019: We ordered one about 6 months ago and loved it. This one is a slightly different model number and the bottoms on both of these hang crooked; because the mechanism is automatic there is no way to level them. Also, when they are cut to size, there are no end caps included to cover the cut ends (these were included in the original model we bought #3511250). They were easy to cut to size with a sharp knife - the sizing rulers on these are brilliant. Edit Jun 6, 2019 We've now had these up not quite 2 weeks and the mechanism in the one blind is jamming. The blind would only pull 3/4 of the way down. Some gentle maneuvering got it so it would finally pull all the way down again. Also sometimes when the blind is raised all the way up the one corner hangs down about 6". I definitely would not recommend these. Update July 20, 2019 The mechanism on the one that was jamming is now totally locked and won't budge. The return time has gone by so sadly this one will end up in the garbage. I'm keeping the star rating at 2 since the other one does kind of work. Definitely not worth the $30. I would not recommend this product. Update Oct 2021 The top of the blind in now detaching itself from the tape and the bottom plastic rail totally shattered today. I would give it 0 stars if I could but could only downgrade it to 1 star.

Very cheaply made
This shade is attractive and easy to install BUT: The top and bottom frame are extremely flimsy. There are cutting guide decals that are supposed to be removed after trimming, but it's nearly impossible due to how thin the rail is. The tape that holds the pleats to the top rail failed after a few hours. I repaired it with hot glue and it's good now.

Crooked
I loved how easy they were to put up but they wonโt stay even at the bottom. It drops on the one side on 3 of the 4. I would say to go up a notch on quality and it will be fine
