YOU BETTER HAVE ROOM FOR THIS ONE! HUGE!
At 6 foot wide and 10 feet long and nearly almost 2 feet tall (depending on how much air you pumped in - see note to follow) - you better have room in your yard for this huge above ground pool; make sure you are in compliance with your local and or State/Providence laws; some have laws pertaining how big an above ground pool can be before one has to have a Safety Fence up! (KEEP THIS IN MIND!) This size is the maximum my area permits without a fence but requires a tarp when not in use (I have also obtained the Intex Matching Pool cover to cover this). Since colors do vary; I have shopped for them in stores - they can range from Seafoam green to Aquamarine - the one I got was Sky Blue in Color - was perfect; it made my garden POP out even more. NEVER LEAVE LITTLE CHILDREN UNATTENDED; IT IS CLEARLY MARKED ON THE POOL AND ALSO THE POOL COVER AS WELL - CHILDREN CAN DROWN! As far as the fun goes, it's a learning experience for the little ones to learn how to swim - at this point it is only half full at the moment, not even at the maximum line stage yet, but plenty of water to go around. Now if you use an electric pump to fill this up, do not over fill; WHY? Because over-filling it with air and the weight of water inside will actually damage the pool itself. If you have really little children, I would recommend that you fill this pool half the depth of water to start off with so they can learn and grow into it as you gradually add more water and teaching them lessons on learning to swim as well as floating; pool sudden also becomes "Educational" as well as a life saver. With plenty of room for the family to be in makes it all the more fun! PLUS IT'S NOT JUST FOR FAMILIES ONLY, SINGLES TO ADULTS CAN HAVE THIS POOL FOR THEMSELVES AS WELL; after a long hard week, it is big enough to put in a raft or floating lodge where you can rest and relax under the sun but ..... BE CAREFUL NOT TO FALL ASLEEP AND BECOME A FRIED LOBSTER! I also recommend the small 1 inch tablet chlorine floaters plus the 1 inch tablet floaters to keep your pool clean plus the PH test strips. Those tablets can go a long long ways! With the floaters, you would want one with a dial type in or twist type end on bottom as how much chlorine you need to be released. If you have soft water, you probably would not need to have the setting on so high, follow the test strip guide first until you have it all set up - on my end my water is semi-hard so one tablet can last up to 3 to 4 weeks before a change is needed. Whenever the pool is not in use, always use the pool cover / tarp and cover your pool. I do not recommend leaving this pool out where there is a chance of snow to ice but in Tropical Zones; you are okay. Yes, you can purchase a small filter machine for this pool if you want to but it is not necessary or required to; it would be far easier in my humble opinion to just let some air out as much as possible without getting water into the middle (there are three areas of this pool where air is to be inflated) as I use Intex Air Pump; then the top layer of pool letting as much air as you can without letting any water getting into the valve area; put some pressure into it and the water just runs all out, far faster than using the drain hole until you have no more water, then you can begin to release air in lower bottom valve as much as possible and normally by this time you can release quite a bit of air, and then flip the pool up side down to drain it out for a little bit. The next step would be moving it to a dry spot and re-inflate the pool, what is helpful here is some chairs to prop the pool up to dry completely - whether you are now going to put it away for storage or going to refill it with fresh water again; typically - as long as the PH test strips are showing fine, once a week or two, depending how much use it has if used all summer long - one would only have to find themselves having to only drain it once and refill it once even if the children swam in it almost every day. * To preserve the pool, please try to avoid usage of any types of oils - such as tanning oils; those that are cream rub in sunscreen are the best but your best option is to schedule a time limit of "pool time" usage with the children as gradually this erases off the "boredom" of summer! You can always add "Fun balls" or Fun Ballz" to volleyball to Pool side Basket ball to rafts to Dive Torpedoes (to name a few and giving you ideas) - all available here on Amazon - so there's never a dull moment. You just might find yourself stuck with them wanting to play pool volleyball all the time or basketball with 2,000 Fun Ballz - even the order of 500 Fun Ballz I have in that pool makes it look like I have only 25 Fun Ballz - this thing could handle 10,000 Fun Ballz (That would drive anyone nuts here, I would not recommend this!) ++ Pool tools are really simple unlike the regular sized above or under ground pools - all you need is a telescopic pool scooper / leaf catcher - comes in handy and making pool clean up easy! I DO RECOMMEND THAT ONE TO INSTALL A POOL MAT - DOES NOT MATTER WHAT SIZE, BUT THIS IS TO KEEP GRASS TO LEAVES TO DIRT OUT OF THE POOL... A 5 gallon bucket is handy here - putting it on the side of pool makes it easier for people to come in and out without having all this grass to dirt inside of pool - NOTE: All are available on Amazon. You can put the pool on top of it in part, or slide it near it and with pool time is over, you can hose it off and let it dry. ^^^ SPECIAL NOTICE I FEEL IS IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE VERY YOUNG: If you are a parent with a young child or children who are very young, they will have some problems trying to get in and out from the top inflatable area; my recommendation is, do not over or under inflate the top liner as this does keeps water inside the pool. Work with this but keeping the bottom and middle inflated but not over inflated; even though it may not be "full" but deep enough for them to play in and sufficient enough water for you to sit in and letting them run around and play, as they get used to this, you can add more water and let them learn how to used to the arm floats and learn to swim - there is so much fun. Educational: YES Fun: NEVER ENDING OF THIS! Size: BIG - Rectangular - 6 feet wide by 10 feet long Color: I personally have a feeling colors may vary here just like the ones I had seen in Brick and Mortar Pool Stores - mine is in Sky Blue the Image shown here is close to what is called Sea-Foam Green - ALL THE COLORS ARE IN THAT RANGE OF BLUES OF THE OCEAN HUES - ALL HAVE WHITE TOPS TO KEEP THE POOL TOP FROM BEING "HOT" Landscaping: Really makes your landscape POP OUT! REST & RELAXATION: Absolutely - for an adult who has no access or time to drive to a pool, lake, beach, river, anywhere; even having your friends over to soak up would be a blast! Great to have your friends over on a hot summer dog days and schools out and no more hearing "There's nothing to do!" STRONGLY RECOMMENDED - HAVE BEEN PURCHASING INTEX POOLS FOR YEARS AND YOU CAN START WITH BEGINNERS UNTIL THEY GROW INTO IT! KEEP IN MIND - MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH YOU LOCAL LAWS OR STATE LAWS ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN; IF YOUR LAWS REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE FENCING AND A LOCKED GATE, THEN DO ADHERE - A CHILD'S LIFE IS WORTH MORE THAN A POOL!

DIY Ball Pit and Sensory Pool
Why use a pool as Ball Pit? In short: Ball Pits are a great therapy tool! The visual, auditory and tactile sensory stimuli and the proprioceptive feedback builds confidence and strengthens motor skills during occupational therapy. Using balls of multiple colors can help with visual sensory stimulus and they can be used to build early speech skills like color identification, counting and more. If properly padded and filled with crush-resistant balls, they can be great for deep pressure and vestibular activities (kids love to throw themselves into a sea of colors). Using an inflatable pool means that you don't need this to be out all of time, it is soft and provides a decent cushion on the sides (we put a thick therapy pad under ours to protect kids who like to dive in). It is also easy to clean the pool and the balls all at once. Plus this can be used as a ball pit, put a duvet full of pillows and its a crash pad, fill it with water or sand, foam, goop, etc. There are loads of options to use this for. Activities and games can also be created based on the child's age and goals. For example, one game we play a lot is a sort of tiny basketball. A therapist can ask the child to find a red ball and then a blue ball and shoot them into a hoop. Doing this works on color identification (as I mentioned before), receptive language, multi-step directions, and the fine motor skills of finding and grasping the ball, motor planning to throw the ball into the hoop, and so on. To sum it up: They are fun, great for sensory and body awareness therapies, and I had this deep personal bias that it would just be so gosh darn fun to have one, even if just a temporary one to pull out as needed. It cost us $37.99 and measures in at 90x 58 inches, which was a perfect size for the space beside one of our climbing towers/rope tree and the wall. If it ever gets a hole in it or gets damaged (which one has), I am not heartbroken, after all, it cost less than $40 and is easily replaced. We blow ours up with the tiny electric air pump that we use on all of our inflatable therapy tools (peanuts and yoga and therapy balls). It is the same kind used for camping/air mattresses and works like a charm It is tough to blow up without this, so I definitely recommend picking one up if you don't have one! There is a cap in the bottom that allows you to fill it up with water and then simply open the bottom valve piece to drain it later. We use this for balls, water, and sand play but you could fill it with foam or goop for another sensory-fun option. I am still rating this as 5 stars though we have had to buy two. The first one we bought ripped along an inner seam (due to some of our rowdier kiddos) and was not fixable due to the location. Mind you, this was after month and months of constant daily abuse by multiple kids from age 3 to 12 all jumping off of, diving into, thrashing around, and generally having a good time with it.

Nice but leaks air
Perfect size for us and the grandkids love it. I would’ve given it five stars except the lower chamber slowly leaks air, and I have to fill it daily.

Our grandsons are REALLY enjoying their summer in the new pool!
Well, I've babysat my grandsons since birth (each a couple months past 6 & 2 at the beginning of the summer), and we've got another due around Labor Day, so Grandpa & I knew it was time to find something other than the tiny little baby pool we'd purchased for our older grandson years ago. When he outgrew it, I ended up taking him to a local park that had a water feature, but that wasn't going to fly this year... his little brother is MUCH more rambunctious than he was, and he's much FASTER than Grandma to be able to chase! Better to have something in our fenced in backyard (and keep in mind that the size of this pool does have fencing requirements, to prevent unthinkable accidents with curious neighborhood kids wandering in unbeknownst to you) where I can more easily contain his wanderlust! (Not to mention having to pack up all of their gear, in & out of cars, etc. for park excursions.) After pouring over the countless insightful reviews, we decided to try this 10ft x 6 ft Intex pool. I'm glad I read the box before deciding on a pump... it specifically states NOT to use an air compressor, and warns against over-inflating. Having had no experience with this size of a pool and not wanting it to blow up in my face from over-inflating, I decided to go with the Intex "Double Quick III S Hi-Output Hand Pump", and it worked like a charm for me without too strenuous of an effort (and I'm no spring chicken!) (By the way, I'd read in one of the reviews that this pool holds 1000 gallons of water... that might well be if you fill it completely to the brim, but there's a "max fill" line maybe an inch or two above the lower part of the top portion - it only holds 264 gallons when filled properly.) My fear of over-inflating probably led to under-inflating... I definitely do have to put a little more air in every couple of days, but the nozzle fits perfectly into the valve and it's not too much trouble. We didn't want to kill a 10x6ft section of grass, so we purchased a large, thick tarp, doubled it over and the pool fit perfectly on top of it on the back patio (well, it took up close to 1/3 of the patio, but that was fine - plenty of room still for our patio furniture so I could sit close by.) The drain hole was pretty much pointless, so our solution for emptying it for cleaning is to use a funnel contraption my husband uses for maintenance of his large indoor acquariums... takes a little while, but worked fine and drained right into the grass at the edge of the porch. Then Grandpa simply stood it up while I hosed it out, and we were able to plop it right back down, ready to fill back up without any deflating necessary. (Our back yard is situated among mature trees, so we also purchased an Intex pool cover to keep the majority of the debris out.) But the bottom line has to be... do our grandsons enjoy it and is it holding up? YES and YES, so far-so good. When the 6 year old first saw it out of the kitchen window, he exclaimed, "WOW GRANDMA, that is AWESOME!!!" Both of them are in the lower percentile of height & weight for their ages, so the 6 year old dons water wings while I keep a full vest on the 2 year old, but I feel perfectly comfortable with the older one playing around in the pool by himself (always within sight, of course) on the dozens of occasions each day that the younger one says, "Gramma - wanna get out?", preferring to alternate pool time with trying to see how many of Grandma's flower gardens he can trample before I can get to him! The pool definitely requires a bit of effort, but the little fellas are worth it, and - at least from my perspective - it's less effort than having to trek to the park every day.

WARNING. DO NOT BUY THIS POOL!!!
I buy my kids new inflatable pools every few years. I run a small home daycare, so I use them with many kids ranging from age 2-7. Most of the pools I buy are quite large in size like this one, so they can fit several kids at once. This one seemed Great when we opened it, and even when we filled it up. I even purchased a nice cover for it and large tarp to put under it, so the kids would not get grass in the pool. All seemed fine and dandy, until it was time to empty it out! NO DRAIN HOLE AT ALL! For those of you who have experience with Large inflatable pools, you know how important it is to have a plug at the bottom to drain the water. THIS ONE DOES NOT. I really didn't believe it. It took me and my husband an hour and a half to bale out the water until it was light weight enough to stand on end and dump out! We both agreed while baling out the water that we would pack it right back up and get our money back. This pool is LARGE and holds a mass amount of water... totally impossible for someone to easily drain and refill, which is what I do about every 5 days to freshen up the water for the kids. If you really want a nice Large pool, I'd recommend the "Swim Center Summer Colors 73 X71" pool" That is the last one I had, and I am about to purchase another one right now. It is large, with high walls, can fit about 4 or 5 kids comfortably, and is very durable! and most importantly, it has a DRAIN HOLE that drains out the mass amount of water very quickly!! We used ours for the last 3 years, with many kids and it held up Great. DO NOT BUY THIS POOL, unless you plan on leaving it out permanently and never emptying the water out! Huge flaw in making this pool!! I hope the company reads this review and changes their design.

Awesome & Fun!
We wanted a pool that was big enough that a few people could get in and be comfortable, but not so big that we needed to use chemicals or items to clean. I live in Texas and the heat is just rude! It's only June and the temp has not been below 90 for 2 weeks now. I ran across this pool and kept it in my faves for a while, and ordered it about 2 weeks ago. SO glad we got it!! At first, we put the pool on our grass in the back yard. We had to use our shop vac as the air compressor hose is too small to fit the large holes where you blow it up, We kept the pool up in that place for about a week. Reason being - we have a Bulldog who loves to swim. She has her own pool but she doesn't care where she gets n the water, just as long as she can get wet - so we decided to try it on or patio. We swept the patio and put the pool up there and it is even better then the yard, even with concrete floor. My husband and I get in it every day. There's enough room for both of us to stretch out, have our head on one side and our feet the other. There's also enough room for us to inflate a chair float, if we want to use that. We don't do any kind of jumping around as we are in our late 40's - 50, but we do have 2 grandchildren who, our 4 year old granddaughter LOVES to play in it! Even with us getting in it every day, the water has remained clean, with the exception of a few leaves and some grass <from mowing>, but that stuff is easily removed. But we do change the water out completely every 2 weeks. Here in Texas, it's s hot that the water is usually very hot when we get in it, <and I do mean hot, like sauna water!!!> so we dump a little water and add a bit to make it comfortable. We were outside a few days ago and it was over 100 degrees, and we were watering our garden, when we heard a big splash. We turned around to see our 88 pound Bulldog swimming in our pool. I freaked out because this pool is Vinyl after all, but she didn't cause any damage whatsoever to the pool! She jumped in and out of that pool at least 15 times, and still no damage. I wouldn't recommend letting your dog in this pool, and we've been teaching her "No", but we were both surprised she didn't ruin the pool! We did purchase the cover for this pool so we wouldn't have to clean it so much, and it works just fine. There is a way to put the cover on the pool so it doesn't get blown off by high winds, and so far we haven't had any problems with it at all. We put our chair float in the middle, put the cover on and it all stays put until we're ready to use it. All in all, I feel this pool is definitely worth the $40 I paid for it <I got free ship with Amazon Prime! - Gotta love Prime!!>. I would purchase this pool again if anything happens to ours, which I'm sure something will as it IS Vinyl! It's not a high cost above ground metal pool, so we don't expect it to last forever. This pool may be vinyl, but it is very strong. If you take proper care of it, it will last you a while. But it is doing it's job beautifully and we are very happy with it! Just know that if you have kids that'll be using this pool - if they play with toys in it - the toys may rip or tear the vinyl, or they may ruin it by excessive jumping <it may pop one of the levels>.

A brilliant personal inflatable pool
Y'all don't even understand how much I love the Intex Mandarin Family Swim Center inflatable pool. I call it my "baby pool," and baby pool season here in the North Carolina piedmont - late May through early Oct - is my favorite time of year. If you can get the Mandarin for between $25-$30, it is worth every penny. Note that foot lengths and widths for inflatable pools describe the pool from edge to edge, not the interior dimensions. I have had 10-foot pools, which have about 7.5 feet of space inside the pool. They are phenomenal, don't get me wrong, but for regular cleaning, it is a lot of water to deal with. That takes longer to empty and longer to refill. The Intex Mandarin is a 7.5-foot-long pool, which means it's about 6 feet inside the pool, which is the perfect size for me. I'm about 5-foot-4, so I can lay down very comfortably inside the Intex Mandarin and bliss out with my beer floaty for hours at a time. Maintenance is much easier with the Mandarin than with a larger, longer pool. I have got in the habit of using a cap-full of chlorine when I fill the pool and using a tarp with brick at each corner to cover it when I am not using it. This habit means a single fill-up can last me 3-4 weeks at a go. Then I use the pool water to give my dog a bath, refill the watering cisterns around the house, and wash my car. When it's empty, I'll use any kind of cleaning solution and a rag to clean it up before refilling it. With that kind of routine and care, the Mandarin can last an entire baby pool season. My first one, a couple of years ago, I over-aired - you can see in one of the photos that one side has a kind of bulge. I've since learned it is much easier to under-fill the pool with air than for it to be at max air. It also developed a small hole right on the seam, which is impossible to patch. My second, I stored over the winter, only to find I'd either not let it dry out enough or it dried out too much, but it also developed a fault in the intervening period. Unless you have an immaculate storage method, expect to need a new baby pool each season, but at the $25-30 price point, it is a proper bargain for how much I use it. Sorry, y'all, I have a lot of thoughts about baby pools, and the Intex Mandarin is really, for me, the gold standard in economy inflatable pools. It can seat 3-4 adults, but I just use mine as my own private sensory deprivation vehicle for the North Carolina summers, and I more or less swear by it.

New valve caps - what idiot designed these?
Whoever you are, you've ruined the perfect backyard pool. I've used this pool model for years, and until now the inflation valve tubes had screw on caps. This year, they are large versions of the traditional pull out/press in inflation valve, but they do not "snap in" to the holes...there is a ridge around the cap that looks like it should pop in but it doesn't go, even lubricated. As a result, the cap is just sort of gently resting in the valve. You can imagine how well that works given that it is tasked with stopping up all the air pressure from a full to capacity chamber. After about 20 tries you can get it to stay, but the first time you jostle around in the pool it pops out and you lose half the air from that air chamber. God help you if it's the bottom one. Duct tape it on for ugly but effective hack until they fire this new valve design guy. Otherwise, this is the same awesome pool it's always been. Nice and big, I can put a full size air mattress in there and float around, or 4 adults can sit in there comfortably having a few drinks and playing Cards Against Humanity on a floating cooler. Good times. Do be aware, though, that the measurements are the outside walls. The pool walls are very thick (a good thing, makes it sturdy) so while it might look like you can lay down even on the short side that's not the case. But two adults sitting on either end can stretch out comfortably without the weird pool foot touch. A tip: if you are as devoted to your "redneck beach" as we are, invest a few bucks and build an 8x12 frame out of wood and fill it with sand. Spend as much time as you need to making it perfectly level. Even with a half inch drop across the length of the pool, it will fill unevenly and eventually collapse the side of the pool. The long sides are particularly susceptible. But get the sandbox ready once, do a good job with it, and it will last for years with just a little top up and rake out at the beginning of each season. Cover it with a tarp in the off-season. One more tip: An old pallet makes the perfect "deck" to rest your shoes on before you get in.

Fantastic, spacious family pool—perfect for the UK heat
This inflatable pool is absolutely brilliant and a proper lifesaver for the hot summer days we've been having in the UK. It is wonderfully large and spacious. I am 186cm tall, and there is plenty of room for both me and my son to splash around, cool off, and goof about together without feeling cramped at all. The build quality is excellent, with heavy-duty walls that feel sturdy and secure when filled. It's straightforward to inflate with the two air chambers, and the handy drain plug at the bottom makes emptying it a breeze when it's time to change the water. If you're looking for a proper family-sized pool to beat the heat in the garden, this one is an absolute 5-star winner
