It's great
This device is actually really fun but it reveals a few caveats when using it over a long period. The first thing is that it's essentially a pedal board in a box, with a bunch of amp and cab sims to boot. On the surface, it's a great value and worth getting. Where it excels: You can just pick a preset and plug headphones directly into the device, so you don't even need an amp. What that means is that without much thinking you can just start playing. You can also add it to your existing recording setup or signal chain to add supplemental effects (just setup presets with the effects/sims that you want). You can customize the signal chains (the effects) with the knobs on the device or an app. Very impressive for the price. There are tons of features, but the 50 preset tones offer a wide variety of styles to match your mood. Where it slightly falters: The first thing is that you would ironically benefit from already having a pedal board in order to understand how to manage the effects. So there's a chicken and the egg obstacle for some players. Some might be stuck using the presets since they don't know what a BOSS Slow Gear pedal does; let alone what the simulated version does and how to tone shape it. The second thing is that the pedals themselves primarily select presets, and preset banks. That's a really cool feature. But from my understanding, there's no way to assign the signal chain to pedals when using a preset. So changing things with the knobs or apps is less responsive then activating a pedal or turning a knob on a board. The solution to the above problem is to make a preset, then make another preset with the changes (such as distortion off on preset 1, and dist on in preset 2). Then use the pedals to switch between them in the middle of a song / between songs. Totally doable. But it's more prep than just activating or de-activating an effect pedal on a board. The third thing is the looper. In order to activate the looper, you have to hold two pedals down at once, which would generally be easier having shoes on to do. So getting in and out of the looper is slightly ungainly. When in the looper, if you hit the other pedals you can activate a drum machine; which could ruin your whole song / recording. For light use, it's fine. However, you'd probably want a dedicated looper pedal in the signal chain. The final thing is that while the app solves the problem, if you leave it on the floor and choose not to use the app, you'll be reaching down to the floor to use knobs to cycle through effects in a preset. You'll need to do that to change them to shape your tones as well. But again, the app solves that problem. Conclusion: For the right scenario, it's a ton of hardware and inspiration for the price. The existing 50 presets offer a wide-range of musical styles. It's fun to just go through them all and change musical styles to fit the preset's tones/effects. Keep in mind that one pedal can easily be $150+, and micro pedals can be $30+; so the grabbing this first before making a dedicated pedal board to help decide what your sound is going to be could save you thousands of dollars. Or you could just leave this in the corner with a guitar and a set of headphones and jam when the inspiration hits you.

Great choice in this price range.
Are there higher end devices? Yep. Do I have 1 or 2 grand to blow on efx? Nope. Do I need to? Nope. This box has likely more than I will ever use or ever need. Wish you could move the chain around & that it had Bluetooth. I've had both on less expensive items. I feel they really skimped out leaving those out & cheapened the product a bit just to add them to the next tier at a higher price. Nonetheless, at this price, there is a ton to work with & no excuse to not sound great if you know what you are doing or spend the time to learn. Love the battery and I use Bluetooth for the guitar so it is still easily portable & convenient. The effects are not really above average, but are quite good and set & mixed properly sound really great live or recording. Plenty of effects & parameters to work with. Not much of a learning curve considering what it has available. The drum machine is basic but excellent to work in your solitude on rhythms or leads. Looper is sufficient for same. I have paid WAY more for just one or two single effect pedals, so I think this is really excellent & affordable for all it does. If your on a budget, this is an amazing pedal. I could have bought a step up or two, but couldn't justify the price point as this takes care of my needs quite well at a stupid low price. Already used it on 3 recordings and they came out great. Actually worked out very nicely on my bass & keyboards (synths) even though I have a plethora of pedals & rack effects for them already. If you have a bit under 200 bucks to spend for something that covers most of the bases, this is an excellent choice. Tried several others. Bought this one and have ZERO regret. At this price, you just can't lose. Really enjoying it!

An awesome great sounding battery powered pedal.
An awesome MFX pedal! I have a Boss GT1000 and a bunch of amps but was looking for something more portable and battery operated for outside jamming. I also bought the Cool Music 100 battery powered amp and paired them up and they sound awesome together for jamming outside or inside. The GE150 pro has tons of sounds and I've been tweaking a bunch of them and it has way more tone presets than I'll ever need. The built in drums are good too for some accompaniment. There are some nice lead tones and about anything you might want in an inexpensive portable pedal. I picked up a few IR's of the web that I will try out but find that the stock ones are great and very tweakable. The battery charge lasts a long time.
