Pricey but worth it
Has the quality you’d expect being from fieldpiece. This actually grabs and holds onto the Schrader valve when removing from a pressurized system, and the sight glass makes it so easy to confirm you’re pulling the valve. It’s heavy duty and can take a beating. I tried six other valve removal tools before this one and it’s way better by far compared to any of the cheaper models out there. If you do a lot of hvac work, buy this, and save yourself the otherwise annoying task of removing the Schrader valve

Terrible price to performance ratio
First one I received arrived broken, sent it back and got a new one no questions asked. Second one is built terribly and can’t grab a core to save its life. Absolutely awful, would never buy again

Could be great, they should tweak it a bit
Nice idea, but they should make it more compact, on certain units this big VCR won't fit to extend to completely take core out and close valve. Other than that, on wide open units that are not in tight areas, works great. They have to make the clip that grabs core, a little more magnetic or like a little clip action, then it would be prefect

Great Tool
Great tool, has issues holding onto Schrader valve. Have to make multiple attempts. Love the built in double shutoff and the window to see valve core as you pull it back.

La crema y nata para el gremio hvac me encanta usarlo para hacer vacío en mis instalaciones de aire acondicionado conecto mi vacuometro y la manguera hacia la bomba de vacío directo sin manómetros. Lo único que me hubiera gustado es que incluyera el adaptador para 5/16 ya que solo viene con conexión a 1/4 y aparte es difícil conseguirlo por separado desde mazatlán Sinaloa México

String believer in fieldpiece but this thing needs some work, too bulky to fit onto a ton of units, magnet isnt great, but the sight glass and 2 valves are nice

Doesn't fit everywhere.
It doesn't fit on all 1/4 service valves. I work with chillers and the ones like Carrier 30HX have the cores deeper than the core remover could actually go because there is an increase in the remover diameter and it doesn't fit into the hole. On the other hand it worked well on residential units like small ( 3-6 tons) splits and minisplits. Hope it helps to those who want to invest into quality tools.
