Kaizen Low Carb Mac & Cheese, 24g Protein, Classic Cheddar (3-Pack)

Taste is a little different but combined with lots of spices and other ingredients, my dish was surprisingly good. I will reorder because of the addition of proteins is important.

Terrible.. Tastes like glue and also took three times in dishwasher to clan the sticky pan

I was honestly surprised by how satisfying this mac and cheese turned out. The cheddar flavor is rich and creamy, and knowing it's high in protein, low carb, and keto friendly makes it an easy choice when I want comfort food without ruining my diet.

I made this for lunch on a busy afternoon, and it was surprisingly filling without leaving me feeling heavy afterward. The cheddar flavor is rich and satisfying, so I never feel like I'm missing out on regular mac and cheese.

Flavor was ok. Texture was mushy. I love the kaizen orzo… was hopeful on this, but it did not meet my expectations. Ok enough to eat what we have, will not be buying again

This has a rich cheddar comfort dish that supplies a heavy hit of protein and fiber. Satisfying my hunger without causing a heavy food coma.

Here’s the thing. If you want a classic Mac & cheese aka: Kraft in a box, this isn’t gonna do ‘ya. When it comes to low carb or “healthy“ options I keep my expectations in check. Knowing this, I decided not to try this stuff on its own, or as the main event so to speak. I found this recipe for chili mac that was created specifically for the kaizen product - and I love it. Mixed with an easy to prepare and very tasty chili, it makes a whole meal. I brown some beef, throw in a few spices and buy a bag of frozen onions and peppers and I’m good to go. I’m not saying you can’t just mix up a pot of this stuff and eat it for lunch; you totally can! The texture is not “mushy“ as other reviewers have wrongly stated. The texture is more akin to beans. In fact it’s exactly that, because it is beans. I happen to like beans and eat them all the time, so no problem there. So again, with expectations in check I have bought kaizen’s mac and cheese many times, and will continue to purchase more. I also like the rice very much. It helps me maintain a more healthful diet and I don’t miss the “real” thing at all. I’ll still enjoy real pasta now and again (especially when out at restaurants) but this stuff is an excellent option for meals at home.
