If you want a some small, motion-activated security camera that you can hide away in book case or position atop furniture, this is not it. Firstly, the camera itself works fine. The motion tracking feature also works well. However it is let down by some major issues: - Each camera requires a single-use magnetic mount and will not stand up on it's own; this isn't something you can discretely sit on a desk. - The charging cable connects to the SIDE of the device, and not the BACK, which completely gives it away as a powered device! - The LEDs also give it away as a camera, particularly in a dark room. So any thief with half a brain will immediately notice this thing. Secondly, the companion app looks like a prototype, barely works and does not pair reliably.

Honestly didn’t expect much given the size, but this little AOBOCAM packs a serious punch. It’s about the size of a sugar cube, yet the video quality is really clear, even at night. I’ve tucked it on a bookshelf and it blends right in, no wires or big clunky cameras ruining the look of the room. Setup was fairly straightforward, and once you get the app sorted, it’s easy to check in remotely. The motion alerts are spot on, no false alarms from shadows or passing cars, just proper movement in the room. If you want a discreet, hassle-free way to keep an eye on things when you’re not home, this is well worth it. Genuinely impressed!

👍Very good little camera BUT Wi-Fi only it does have its own battery once fully charged last for around one hour once plugged in to USB it does switch on automatically which is handy if you do use a power pack you cannot take the camera away from home as stated NO BLUETOOTH the Wi-Fi is working fine .. I found it a bit fiddly to set up but once done it does have a lot of features and is well worth the money I would definitely recommend and you do not need a subscription with this one like a lot of these small mini cameras thank you.....👍👍

It is ok

Contrary to many of the other reviews, that I suspect may not be fully accurate. I would say this device is simply ok. The device is easy to set up and comes with a range of different connection fittings (clip, magnet, stand) as well as charging cable and easy to follow instructions. It is simple to get the device to work on the app however the app is very limited in function and some vital areas (such as the Ts&Cs) are all in Chinese. There is no PIR or motion trigger to capture video so you can either view live, or set to record everything. There is also no speaker for 2 way audio despite this being an option in the app. The video quality is ok. It works quite well in even low light and the night vision is a nice addition, however the quality of the video is akin to a smartphone camera from around 15 years ago, and the 'wide' angle is in fact very narrow. I do like that it has a built in battery so you can quickly use this without a power outlet but just from 10 minutes of setting up and connecting the device to WiFi, the battery had drained by around 30% so I don't imagine the continuous recording would last much more than 30 minutes maximum on battery. For the price, I can see this being useful as a quick security camera if you just need to set it up somewhere or take it with you for continuous recording. But anything beyond that and you may want to invest in something by Eufy or Tapo.

Where do I start…its not easy to set up for starters, you will have to change your wifi to a 2.5ghz frequency band which is a pain, once thats done and you finally get it running you will quickly notice that the battery which is stated to last 90 minutes on full charge actually only lasts about 5 minutes and I wish I was exaggerating, no functionality on the app to turn on the camera so you have to physically go over to the camera to turn it on defeating the whole purpose of the hidden camera. Does not come with a sd memory card so needs to be purchased separately, the stand that comes with the camera is fitted in place so you cant adjust the angle at all. Picture wise its ok nothing special but clear enough. Overall a pretty bad purchase and if i could get a refund I would do but I seem to have misplaced the box so thats out the window. I’ll make use of it somehow.

Firstly, on a positive note the image from this is quite reasonable given its size, even the audio is ok. Now comes the problem. The battery life is very short. It lasted less than an hour. Surely that's not very useful or practical. Ok, so it says power from a power bank. Next problem, it appears to run very hot (expect its drawing a fairly large current), running from a power bank, and also defeats the object of being small and hard to tell its there with a cable sticking out of the top of it. If the power issues could be sorted I could live with that though. I suspect it would drain a power bank relatively quickly though. so, if you wanted this to be able to monitor your home while away, forget it.
