This dough hook is the model that KitchenAid customer service told me to get. And sure enough it fits my mixer perfectly. I just learned how to use yeast 2 weeks ago, it's fun, but very tiring to knead the dough by hand. And when doing by hand, my white bread ALWAYS turned into hard french bread. Today I have this dough hook do ALL the mixing and kneading for me, and man it was easy, and the basic sweet bread (from allrecipe website) turned out so soft and yummy! I was so happy that right away I did another batch to make cinnamon rolls for the first time. My kids were so impressed and said this is way better than the store bought ones!

We are back to all becoming foodies. So many more people are taking the time to cook at home. I know many more people who are younger than I, who are baking their own bread and using a crockpot for soups and stews. Having a machine like the KitchenAid with the dough hook, is phenomenal. It makes cooking at home so much more fun and it is certainly easier. This takes the kneadting right out of making bread home. There is nothing like fresh hot bread on your table. And this makes it painless. of course, you don't build up those muscles! LOL!

We have a KitchenAid basic model came with nothing but one blade; that was since run through the dishwasher and destroyed. We needed to make some breads for Easter that required heavy mixing and a lot of sitting time. I ordered this dough hook rather apprehensively because it was not stated in it's summary if it would fit my basic machine. Luckily enough, there was another reviewer that had gone through the same exact thing and posted that it would fit our model in their review: THANK YOU! I own the KitchenAid 4.5-quart Bowl-lift Stand Mixer K4SSWH model and I have found that the dough hook does tend to scrape on the bottom. This was remedied by lowering the bowl a tad. As far as the dough hook is concerned, it does what it needs to do. The machine on the other hand which is rated 300 watts, DOES NOT!. The hook kept on getting stuck in the dough after 1.5 minutes. That was all she wrote. The machine could not power through the basic Easter bread dough. Since this was our first attempt with this dough, it was rather surprising because I remember my mother using her KitchenAid from the '80s to do the same exact thing. Unfortunately, the machine could not handle it and we needed to knead the old fashioned way. Recommend this dough hook as a replacement for the K4SSWH bowl-lift model; just not that machine.

This is a nice and sturdy hook. It was returned, however, because it does NOT fit the KitchenAid Artisan KSM150 stand mixer. Someone in the questions section said it would fit, however it is about half an inch too long to fit the mixer with the bowl in place. KitchenAid K45DH Dough Hook Replacement for KSM90 and K45 Stand Mixer is the dough hook you want for the KSM150.

I traded in my junky new KitchenAid 12c 700watt mixer with plastic parts that spewed oil (normal according to KA customer service!) for a beautiful old KA15 with a Hobart (the machine is older than I am). I make two loaves of bread every other day with this and it's perfect and the machine doesn't labor. I do get some creeping up the hook but as it kneads it pulls back down.

The product arrived very quickly, and fit perfectly on my kitchenaid stand mixer. I have an older model so I couldn't find this attachment in any stores. It was a relief to find that this hook did indeed fit my machine. I've only used it once, but so far, it did the job well!

Did not fit my mixer now I'm stuck with it and have to reorder. Now I won't see it till July! Could of swore I know I have a 5qt mixer. So I know what I order. Still I have now way to return and exchange... Product wise Great!!!!!
