BRILLIANT.. A very large bag with lots of pockets and features
Ok I've waited for 3 months of use before deciding to write a review as I wanted to use it in the field and 'real life' not just to add my thoughts as a review on opening it up as soon as I received it. So after three month and a lot of walking and use, I must say this fits the bill very well. I wanted a bag large enough to carry my Olympus m4/3rds camera with several lenses including the 40-100 Pro lens, all other accessories and my drone which I can fit in it's original soft case in to the lower compartment with on occasions I have stuffed either side of it either spare jumpers, lightweight jackets, gloves, and even managed to get my filter case in with the drone also in this compartment, its really handy to be able to carry my drone in its case as I can split it easy enough then. The drone is a DJI mini 3 Pro but even better, the bag actually comes with another bag inside a bit larger the DJI bag, so you could use this for a drone or further camera equipment. My camera equipment I put in the top compartment and it has several soft velcro partitioners to segregate stuff as required, it also comes with a waterproof cover. Waist strap and chest straps are good and the emergency whistle on the chest straps helps get my deaf dogs attention. Side mesh pockets both sides, I usually carry a sit mat with a small tarp in one and the other I carry my tripod or bottle. Two great external pockets one being hard which I carry my phone is and the cargo net is great for stuffing coats or jumpers under once it gets a bit warm. Waist belt has two small pockets for keys etc. Overall this has plenty of storage and great features. If I don't need my drone that bottom space is good for using as a normal rucksack and crammed full with equipment and clothes. I wanted a large bag with compartments for camera stuff and or drone, but find I just stuff my drone in, in the original case it came with into the bottom compartment, as its smaller than the one supplied I can still cram even more stuff in around it. If you're after a large case at a great price, this is it. The ability to alter the sizing for individual back lengths is a great thought too, once on my back and loaded up, its comfy and stable and I have covered several miles now carrying this on my back. Another attention to detail, which I never thought about until I started using this pack is the hard plastic on its base so it stands up unsupported, so saves lying my pack down on mud/or wet grass as I have to do millions of times in the past! Three months down the line with a fair amount of use and two photography holidays later I am MORE than happy.

Cameras, drones, you name it, there is a compartment
I have a couple of old camera rucksacks and bags, I think the newest is about 7 years old. I have a lot of camera kit and have recently added a couple of DJI drones to the mix, Mini SE and a mini 3 Pro. I wanted a bag big enough to fit camera, a couple of lenses, laptop, batteries, drones, drone bits and anything else needed for a weekend shoot. It needed to be rugged, protective and comfortable, if possible also reasonably priced too. I have to say that this fits all the requirements. First off the secondary bag is a nice idea, hiding in the bottom compartment and being able to clip it on as a belly bag is a great idea, although a little fiddly to get the clips in while wearing the rucksack once on an easy to access and comfy addition. Onto the main body, I use a Nikon D750 (or similar) and I can get this with a 24-120mm lens into the camera section easily, with the dividers being movable fitting in anything I need is possible, but you will struggle to get anything bigger than most 300mm lenses in attached to the body (obviously depending on make model etc, but you aren't going to manage you huge f2.8 800mm zoom in here). There is a sleeve in front of the camera compartment that takes a tablet easily then zips in place in front of the lenses, with outer cover zipping up again. There are two good sized front pockets with compartments inside, plenty of room for memory cards, cables, batteries, pens, notepad etc, well secured to. Then the bottom compartment, on arrival the dividers are flat in the bottom to allow the shoulder/belt bag to fit in, you could leave them like this and get some clothing in there, or waterproofs, its a nice amount of room, or like I did you can set the dividers to fit 2 drones. The pockets are deep enough to slide a sub 250g DJI drone into, with space for controller, batteries and even a screwdriver set added in the other storage bits. The outer cover for this section is well zipped and has a pair of web straps over the outside as well so it nice and secure. There are 2 big elasticated pockets on the sides with the usual straps to secure tripods, if you want them. Also the shoulder straps can be completely removed and adjusted to suit your personal preference and build, this is a very nice feature as I am tall, 6' 4", but I also have a fairly long back so these adjustments make a big difference if you are lugging your kit about for a day. With the addition of a separate rain cover I can't really think of any shortcomings for this set up, ideal if you have a lot of kit, adjustable for comfort with comfy shoulder straps, it feels solid and is very adjustable to suit. At the price it's being sold for it is an excellent bargain. I can only recommend.

Simply put, it's a good bag.
I was skeptical about buying a camera bag from a company i hadn't heard of, but i am so glad i did! For long adventures this bag is great. Very comfortable at the right adjusted height, loads of space and easy access to all your gear. When i first loaded the bag up and went out it was pulling on my neck a little but adjusting the shoulder straps to the medium or large height made this bag very comfortable (3 days hiking in the peak district with no issues or strain). I had a sony A6600 with a 16-70mm on, a 10-18mm and a 70-350mm with a tripod on the side as my camera gear. Which left me the entire top compartment, all the pockets and lot of space left in the bottom section. The dividers allowed me to tuck a pack rain coat and waterproof trousers with a power bank, cables, bag cover, torch, batteries, gloves and cleaning cloths all in the bottom part of the bag with the camera. The top section had a jumper and food with lots of space unused. The pockets on the front held some lens wipes but remained mostly empty. There is just so much space that I couldn't fill the bag up completely. The camera compartment unzips and flaps down, the access to my camera was easy and organised which made setting up on location a joy! The bag itself is very durable, didn't feel heavy or oversized for me and was well worth the buy. Hiking with this bag was just simply amazing. The only complaint i have which is minor is, the water bottle holder isn't the widest. I have a shorter stuby 1L bottle which was slightly too tight of a fit. A tall slim bottle is best. The bag did make am annoying noise when walking where the straps rubbed on each other but that was fixed after I adjusted the bag to fit my height. Other than that the bag was well worth the money if you are looking for a combination of a hiking bag and a camera bag.

Very nice but has major issues
A nice spacious pack with a few short sighted school boy errors. 1st, no storage for the water proof cover. 2nd, exterior pockets are by no means deep enough for more the a few filters, 3rd, zips don't lock and 4th which I feel is a big negative is the carrying shoulder straps. The padding dose not extend beyond the strap stiffeners which causes the straps to dig in to your shoulders. Make no mistake, an hour of this and you'll be cursing this bag. Tarion should look at how other ruck-sake manufactures design their carrying straps and then fix what I feel is a major issue.

Great roomy camera bag.
Great bag lots of space for cameras and all the kit we need to carry. It'll take 2 DSLR's and a load of lenses, flashguns, powerbanks, batteries, and a laptop/tablet without any trouble. Of course by this time you are carrying a very heavy bit of kit especially if you've attached a tripod/monopod to the outside as designed (or both one each side). There are compartments inside for memory cards and also a waistbag that will clip to the main bag should you wish to. Decent quality fabric, good zips, well padded shoulder straps make this a fantastic bag for the price. I'm delighted with it and feel it was a good purchase. A few niggles. The two exterior compartments are a nice height and width but they could be a bit deeper especially the lower one it looks like a good sized boxy shape but is just to thin to be perfect. The top hand strap feels a little flimsy, the bag sits great on the base with no effort but filling it up with kit and then lifting with the top hand strap feels a little insecure. The other slightly disappointing thing is although the bottom compartment is wide enough to take a long lens (sigma 150-600) the dividers don't work well horizontally so nothing fits above it. Some sewing to do for me. It's well padded and even with the little niggles it's a fantastic bag which I'm sure will last for years and most importantly keep my kit safe. It's incredible value for money and if it needed replacing I'd happily buy it again. T.

Incredibly versatile backpack that can carry all your gear and some....
This is a first class piece of kit that now holds 3 backpacks worth of stuff. I desperately needed a new backpack for my growing amount of equipment, as a professional I have to adapt and I recently began offering new services which in turn required new equipment and new ways to carry it. This backpack carries my DSLR, lenses, memory cards, notebooks & GoPro creator kit, tripod, selfie sticks and a host of other items Im using. The included extra shoulder bag fits my drone and RC, it all comes together to make a single (and heavy) pack I can use on location shoots. First class! Highly recommended. This was not a free item, I purchased this after deliberating for quite some time over other options. I don't have the issue with the straps as mentioned by another reviewer, I set them for how I like them and later carrying is for a day I found it heavy (due to the amount of stuff I put in it) but overall quite comfortable.

Seriously good bit of kit
If you have a lot of gear, heavy gear or just need to protect expensive gear this rucksack is perfect. It is a framed bag so can take serious weight and amounts of gear. There are straps, pockets and partitions galore and a decent rain cover is included. I use this when going away and it swallows all my camera gear, a large laptop and my clothes for a long weekend.

A downright great bag!
The Tarion Pro is a robust bag. The straps and padding feel very comfortable, and can be adjusted to your height. The bag seems to have an endless amount of storage spaces, not just for your photography equipment, but also for a large laptop, and any other travel bits you'll need, passports etc. The bag seems to be very sturdy and well made. I have owned a lowepro for the last 7 years and I think this bag will keep me going for just as long, or longer! The main feature that drew me to the bag was the removable bag that can be worn around the waist or on a strap. This bag is perfect for quickly accessing a camera or drone or if you want a light travel day. As you can see in my photos you can easily fit a Mavic Air in the removable bag, a Mavic Pro would also fit too or a DSLR and some lenses. I've used the top section of the bag to store my M43 system and 2 additional lenses, I still have room for 3 or 4 more M43 lenses in there, bearing in mind these are smaller than typical lenses. Overall, on first impressions I highly recommend this bag! This is my first product from Tarion and I'm well impressed!
