Acoustic Audio CSic83 in Ceiling 8" Speaker Pair 3 Way Home Theater Speakers

I have been replacing my high end ceiling speakers in preparation for moving to a new house, so was looking for decent cheap replacements to use until I move (and to fill the holes my really nice, expensive speakers left when I removed them). These Acoustic Audio speakers are amazing for the price. No, they don't sound as good as the Mirage Omnican OC-65's they replaced, but they are much, much better the other cheap speakers I tried (Pyle and Vevor). They have a standard mounting mechanism for installation and removal (unlike the Vevors), and they actually sound pretty good (unlike the Pyles, which are horrible). Yes, these cost a little bit more, but they actually sound fine for casual listening. The CSic63's are decent, and the CSic83's (for not much more) are more than decent. They are actually pretty good! Bass response is way better than expected at this price, and most things sound fine at reasonable volume. If you are going to go to the trouble of running wires and cutting a hole in your ceiling, don't fill those holes with terrible speakers. Spend just a little more and get the CSic83's instead. They really are great for the price, and you'll likely be very happy with them.

For the price point I was hesitant, and wasn't sure what to expect. Installation was simple. I am truly impressed with the sound quality out if these. I have four, two for side surrounds, and two for rear surrounds, off a Denon Avr-770. The sound quality and detail in the audio is excellent. Sure, a higher end speaker will be better quality, but at such a low price point compared to others, these are well worth trying. Don't expect big bass out of them, that's what subs and towers are for. But for a surround speaker, these are excellent.

I was blown away by how well built these speakers were and how easy the installation was! I installed them all over my dental office into removable foam ceiling panels and it was so easy due to the speaker coming with an integrated mounting bracket. Just cut the circle, slip the wire through and the speaker clamps down in a few seconds with the help of a phillips head on a drill. Sound quality: The sound is excellent for this specific purpose

The install process was easy except that the mesh screen ships installed on the speaker but it needs to be removed in order to mount the speaker in the wall/ceiling. Prying it off can be a hassle and possibly warp or damage the screen. Minus one star for that. The sound is great. My use case doesn’t exactly stress test the speakers though. They’re in my ceiling as front height atmos speakers. So the aren’t asked to handle loads anywhere near their peak ratings. That said, if all you want are surround sound speakers< these guys will certainly fit the bill.

Great sounding speakers. Bass response is very good considering there are no enclosures as they are ceiling mounted and back into a large attic space. Plenty of volume available when connected only to a 50+50 watt mini amp. Easy to install.

I added two more speakers to upgrade to a 7.2 set up - previously 5.1. These speakers sound excellent! I am using them for middle surround sound. These have the best specs at the lowest price! These really are a great value.

Nice sounding highly recommend

These speakers are quite good for their price. I built a 1.5 cubic foot enclosure for them (42"x15"x4") out of 3/4" birch plywood, and installed a 10" long, 2 1/2" diameter round port in the box. The box also has about an inch of polyfill in the bottom for dampening. Base response is much better in the ported setup vs not, but either way, the speakers perform very well. They have audible response right down to 10Hz , although they fall off a fair bit as expected below 50Hz. The enclosures will sit above some kitchen cabinets, hidden behind the crown moulding. Paired with an inexpensive class D (tiny) 2 channel amplifier with bluetooth, the setup is capable enough for pretty much for any casual listener. The bass from this setup will definitely rattle the kitchen if cranked up. Awesome value!! If you're installing them in the ceiling or wall, you'll definitely want to build a sealed box with similar volume, and if possible add the port to provide a lot more bass response.

Awesome Powerful Atmos Speakers

Good dynamic range, pleasant sound, well-constructed speakers. Bright highs without being harsh, clear midrange and smooth, balanced bass. Bass is pleasant rather than spectacular but possibly a bit better than we were expecting at this price point.

Par contre si vous voulez plus de base je vous conseil d'ajouter un sub. Je suis impressionnée de la qualités prix dure a battre. En passant facile pour l'installation au plafond.

I use this as the atmos ceiling speaker for my small home theater setup with with a Yamaha V6. Its an amazing addition. Good quality and really loud. On zone isolated mode I can play music with good bass.
