Cheddar Cheese Powder

Tasty product. Mix up a bowl of mac & cheese quick. No on stove fuss abd waiting for cheese to melt. Very much like the mac & cheese box dinners from supermarket.

My Grandson won't eat his mac and cheese without this cheese on top of it! We will never be without it.🤣

Sweeter than thought, makes a creamy cheddar sauce.

The cheese flavor is great in this and I am from WI! I have only used it on a couple things so far but it tasted great.

I will never buy boxed Mac and cheese again. This stuff is addictive!! Love making cheese sauces, add it to chips, popcorn.. So good! Heavy cream, powder cheese, extra American cheese, butter! Yummyyyy!

30 some odd years ago I had a girlfriend from the midwest who worked at a candy company when in high school making popcorn which was covered in various flavors. Her station made the cheddar cheese popcorn. As luck would have it her parents visited one weekend and brought along a huge bag of the popcorn for us to enjoy. We polished it off one evening watching a movie. It tasted fabulous and I even licked my fingers. My purchase arrived today and after having an early dinner I popped some popcorn and used an old spice container as a cheese shaker. Shaking about an ounce into the paper bag and shaking and shaking. I just polished off the bag and it immediately brought me back to the bag we shared all those years ago. Really cheesy flavor but not overpowering at all. I believe 2 pounds of this powder will last quite a while and make some really good time. Cant wait to make some mac and cheese!!!!

I did not like this? I bought it for the good reviews and I wanted to use a healthier pasta. It does not have the cheese flavor I was hoping for and looks neon orange. You cannot return it.... Just fyi

So, I need to be up front, I use this as a topping, not a mix. So my review is primarily based on the way I use it. I have tried all of the substitutes for my all time favorite, going back to the late 70's when it was in a gold tube called 'grated american cheese food'. None of the claimed substitutes are what I want. All but one (mac yo-self) clump up when sprinkled on hot pasta, but that one has a slightly off flavoring, almost like a touch of anise. Not offensive, but not what I want. The flavor of the others (Winncr, HoosierH, big daddy) is right on the money, but it turns into wads if I try to stir it in to hot pasta. To be fair, I have tried the recipes to make traditional mac and cheese by making a rue with cold milk. They all work really well for this and the flavor is excellent. Some need a bit more salt than others, but that is personal preference too. Short version, great to make a sauce/rue, but not great for sprinkling. I'm going to try to go to the white cheddar, I've used up all the 'normal' options.
