Is this a good gift for someone new to singing bowls?

Yes. It plays a clear tone from the very first try, which makes it a thoughtful gift for a yogi, a new home, a mindful friend or anyone who loves a quiet moment.

What comes in the set?

Each set includes one 4" hand-hammered Tibetan singing bowl, a hand-sewn silk cushion and a leather-covered mallet. The Black With Box color also arrives in a decorative box.

Rest the bowl on its cushion or your flat palm. Strike: tap the rim gently with the mallet. Circle: rub the mallet around the outer rim with steady pressure. Then listen as the tone builds and fades.

Does every color carry the mantra?

No. Om Mani Padme Hum appears on the mantra-etched designs. Other colors feature the Om symbol, the endless knot, Buddha eyes or a lotus. The chart above shows the design on each color.

Will my bowl look exactly like the photos?

Each bowl is hand-hammered and then finished, so small differences in finish, etching and tone are natural and make every piece one of a kind. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from moisture.
