Top of the line in DYE!
Love the vibrancy of the coloring! This is after multiple washes. Definitely wash before wear, and wear gloves. Beautiful display on each color 😍

Beautiful tie-dyes
Do a lot of tie-dying with kids and nieces/nephews, so it was time to invest - these are such a great value, this pack will probably last me for a good five years. Great assortment of colors, I only had to mix a couple of things for special orders (I've found when mixing colors, there may be some separation of the colors in the final product - so if it's crucial that you get the right color, in this case olive green for a Plankton figure and a reddish-brown for Scooby Doo, you should order that color specifically. These kids aren't too picky and the mixed colors turned out great). If you follow the recommendations for dying - 100% cotton fabric, pre-wash fabric, soak fabric in soda ash, and add urea to the dye itself, and you're careful while applying the dye, the outcome is spectacular every time.

What I expected with some hit (turquoise) and miss (yellow)
I bought some months ago the version of the pack with the 8 tiny jars of 2/3 oz (18.71g), to make immersions and painting on mainly cotton (with soda ash). The technic isn't super straight-forward, as each pure powder has its difference in heat and time needed to cure, especially the turquoise which needed hotter temp. and longer time, but I was satisfied. So I ordered this big pack and realized they're the same powders except two: 068 Turquoise and 004 Lemon (or 3 if you count green, which is a mix). So I don't know if they changed their formulas between the productions of the small jars and those ones, or if the big jars always had different powders, but concerning the turquoise (batch #7032), it's a huge improvement: the powder is denser and is lot easier to set in the fibers (more like the other colors now). Concerning the yellow though (batch #7935), I think it's a small downgrade: the color and result on the fabric is the same, but surprisingly, this one doesn't dissolve well in water, even at small concentration: it stays dispersed and opaque, and settles below the water after some time. You can also see it when you're diluting some green, as I guess this yellow is the main part used to make this color. Not a huge problem, especially in painting, as the solution is thicker, but for the immersions, you'd have to mix even more to be sure you don't let yellow dye accumulating in the bottom. Anyway, that was my nitpicking, I still give 5 stars because it's clearly the best option when you order from abroad.

LOVE Using These
Quarantine reignited my love of tie dye. I kept buying Tulip brand, but I was getting frustrated with A. how pricey it was getting and B. how much the colors would fade and C. how far (or not) the bottles of dye went. I had the Procion set in my cart for a long time, and I debated getting it. I finally did, and I am SO glad I made the investment. I made a ton of stuff, but this t-shirt was my "wow" project. It's so bright and so colorful, and it's something that I would've purchased in a store for myself! I used soda ash first, and I let the dye set overnight. These dyes are really just something special. If you're into tie dye, Procion dyes are the way to go! They're pricey, but these will seriously last a long time. You need so little of it to make dye, and while it's a lot of $$ to drop at once, you won't have to keep purchasing inferior stuff from other brands. :)

Great product!!!
I love Procion Dyes! We use them to tie dye a lot of stuff for our Etsy store. The only issue that I noticed is that the Magenta looked very low, as in amount. I'm not sure why, it almost seemed as if part of it was used because the volume compared to the others was lower than the rest. I never addressed the issue because I got busy & forgot & now it's too late. But the product itself is great. These dyes are bright, vibrant & beautiful. I am now purchasing from the original company (DHARMA TRADING COMPANY) as I do not want to receive missing product again.

Great value
I tie-dye. Fire engine red and fuchsia are very very close shades, I would have liked a purple shade like lilac instead of fire engine red.

Colour is awesome.i didn't have any trouble with any of the colours. I've dyed probably 150 shirts so far. Only ran out of black

Just got back into tie dye and at half the price of the nearest competitor this was a no brainer! The set includes fuchsia, lemon and turquoise, which are the considered "primaries" of this brand, plus jet black, so with a bit of experiment you can get a lot of colours and tones from the basic set. I actually find mixing purple to be preferable to the (extremely expensive) violet in the Jacquard range! Of the 8 colours in the set, I only found lemon yellow to be reluctant to dissolve if used at anything above 2 TSP (10g) per 250ml. It will leave surface residue if you use it for ice dyeing too, although the colour travels well in this technique. None of the colours in the set appear to "bleed" or crack into separate colours during dyeing. The black however is tricky to get really dark, I'd mix some fuchsia and turquoise with it to get a deeper tone. All told a good value investment in my latest craft craze!

It arrived fast and so far I am very happy. I do highly recommend buying soda ash with it. It has been fun to try out new patters and not have to worry so much about conserving the die.
