The Good:- The game is simple, well made, and fun, but suprisingly deep for that. It's easy to learn, and immediately familiar to traditional card gamers- Almost all of the illustrations are beautiful.The Ugly:- For some core gamers, the game might lack interest initially. Although I noted earlier that the game is suprisingly deep, it doesn't have the massive replayablity some games do.- You could easily replicate the game at home with a deck of cards. In that sense, the value proposition is relatively low.The Bad:- There's nothing bad per se about this game.

Excellent game for 2. Took on holiday and kept us amused. We are in our 70's. Also borrowed for holiday by our daughter and son-in-law. They thoroughly enjoyed it too. Easy to learn. Doesn't take too long to play. Strategy needed...keeps you thinking!

Bought this based on recommendation. It’s a good trick-based card game, with lovely fairy tale inspired artwork and back-story.I wouldn’t call it great value for money in terms of what you get in the box. I paid a reduce price of £12. For this, I would expect to get more cards and at least a tin. In reality you get 33 cards , 27 scoring tokens, some instructions and a cardboard box.The game itself works well and doesn’t take long to learn. Played it with my 9 and 13 year-old and they both enjoyed it. It would be good if you could get an expansion pack to add a bit more to it, or expand it into a 3 player game.Overall, I’m happy with the purchase but it loses a star for the price.

My husband and I love card and board games, bit is difficult to find simple card games we can carry and that are perfect for two. This game has everything we asked for: small Box, game is easy to learn, fun and competitive.I bought it for his birthday and we both can enjoy it!

My husband and I and the rest of my family who is now grown up, always love playing games. I was looking for something other than that gammon or cribbage that could be played by two people. Since we love playing spades with the family when they’re here, I decided to try this one. Fox in the forest is very pretty, easy to learn, and plays similar to spades, but the special Cards And the different goals make it more fun. It’s good if you watch a tutorial on how to play and then play it at least four times to begin to understand the strategy. It’s a little more complicated than it looks to get the feel of it. In spades all you’re doing is trying to get exactly the amount of tricks that you bid you could take. In fox in the forest you were trying for a targeted area and trying to keep your partner in another part targeted area by using the special cards. I really recommend it for people who want to play a game that doesn’t take very long. It’s the perfect thing to throw in your suitcase for those nights in a motel where you order dinner in and don’t wanna watch TV.

Compre este juego para jugar con mi novia y nos pareció excelente, nos llevamos un buen rato de diversion, pueden ser partidas muy rápidas pero bastante entretenidas.Inicialmente nos costo un poco de trabajo entender las reglas pero ya comprendiéndolo el juego es muy simple sin mencionar que el arte de las cartas es hermoso.

So, Jaipur and Patchwork move over, there is a new sheriff in town.We're 50 games in, and still feel like we just scratched the surface on the possibilities this game has to offer.Just get it already!

Not many good little two player games out there.This is one. Quick to learn, has surprising depth, but is also quick to play.Enjoyable :)
