HBI Tear Away Embroidery Stabilizer Roll, 1.8 oz Medium, 10 in x 100 yd

I’m glad I found this. I have always used namebrand, stabilizers, which are normally very expensive and not many yards on a roll. I decided to give this a try, I had some leftover of the expensive brand, and I cannot tell any difference between the two in performance. Or feel. I have a BabyLock Solaris. I do lots of embroidery and appliqué. And I will be buying this product again. It tears away very easily without distorting your stitches. It does leave a little fragments of the stabilizer under the stitches. I did a trial test on a scrap of fabric with the stabilizer, then pulled the stabilizer off. Put the fabric in some luke warm water with a little soap, just like as if you were laundering. And let it sit for a while. Then I swish it around in the water and soap, took it out and rinsed it, and most all of the little fragments was gone. my test was maybe at 10 to 15 minute test. So I’m sure through a normal wash cycle. It would even work better. Overall, I am very very happy with this product. I will definitely definitely continue to use it.

This is a great tear away stabilizer. It has a nice thickness to it that I love. I use it on the dish towels and light weight products that I embroidery. It has become a must in my everyday embroidery work.

This product is great for machine embroidery users. Especially those who use extra large hoops. I used it on the 360x350 majestic hoop. It didn’t buckle or bunch up, it stayed firm enough across the entire hoop. I had to take out stitches and it held its shape to be able to restitch in the area. It’s east to tear when removing but doesn’t tear while using it. It removes easy around delicate stitching. I’ll I close a picture to show. Noticed around the turtles head and fins. I would highly recommend this product. It’s easy to use. It has great stability and is durable. It is actually quite soft. The only change I would make is, I would like different packaging. I would like to be able to close it up when finished to keep it clean for future project.

I ordered this in October 2020 and it is now December 2020. I probably used about half of the roll so I'm confident I can give an honest review of this product. Value - This is probably the best value for your bucks. I've used other stabilizers before. Name brand ones that cost the same but about half (or less) the amount of product. If you are an avid crafter like me, this is a great investment. Quality - As I mentioned above, I've used other brands before. The quality feels the same. I mainly use this for my 5" by 7" inch machine embroidery hoop which usually stitches between 1,000 to 10,000 stitches per project. It seems to hold up the project just fine. I've never had any issues regarding tearing while stitching but it is easy to tear away from the fabric once the project is done stitching. I really do like this stabilizer, will probably order more soon, and will definitely recommend it to anybody who is looking for an affordable yet good quality stabilizer.

I used this product for machine embroidery stabilizer.It turned out to be a heavier weight than other stabilizers.I goofed when I ordered it but have used it.It tears away easily.

The roll is enormous!!!! Works well. in embroidery hoop, quite thick but I have never used this type of stabiliser before. Very good outcome with machine embroidery, tears off back very easily. It will take me years to use up this roll!!!!
