Great dairy alternative
I gradually became allergic to dairy over the last couple of years and had to stop using whey protein. This is now my go-to protein. The taste is decent, yes it's just a touch "beefy," but mostly tastes like cocoa powder. You have to mix it well by shaking (kind of a lot, with an agitator ball in your blender cup), and it mixes best when warm. Directly with ice, it will be clumpy. So I generally shake it up hard in my cup with room temperature water, with the wire blender ball in it, then I add some ice. Interestingly, you can shake it and put it in the fridge and come back, and it will have dissolved in a kind of creamy way. Most importantly--zero stomach issues. Less than I had with whey, even when I could take dairy. And much much better than plant-based proteins I've tried and egg white protein (which destroyed me). So now I take this every day without issues, I'm glad I found it.

Good enough for the price
I got this because I figured the animal protein would be better used by my body than just plant protein. I would say it is "good enough for government work"! It doesn't taste great by itself. I mix it with chocolate orgain plant protein powder and peanut butter protein powder and my drink then tastes pretty good! I am happy this wasn't too expensive as we are on a budget. There are a few clumps that dont mix but I scoop those flew up with a spoon and just eat it so I dont miss out on the protein. I've never been a premadonna when it comes to food or flavor, so as long as you're not a whimp about it, its ok!

I Have Multiple Food Allergies - so glad they make this product!
I have food allergies to most high-protein foods. I can't handle eggs, milk-derived products from any animal, grains, and I try to stay away from beans for digestive issues. Nuts and seeds often grow mold and I'm very sensitive to mold so I can't have hemp or almond protein either. Basically, I have to eat the paleo diet, not by choice but out of necessity. I am soooo glad Olympian labs makes this protein powder. My body is so sensitive to chemicals and food additives, but I don't have a bad reaction to this. My nose gets a tiny bit more stuffy after I drink this shake, but not badly, and it only happens because I have a ridiculously sensitive immune system. I'm also so glad that this is sweetened with stevia, because I have blood sugar issues and have to eat a low-carb diet. Some people online were dissing beef protein powders in general because they're probably derived from left over 'bits' of the animal and ligaments and may be on par with gelatin. Well, gelatin promotes collagen production which makes you look younger, and it also helps keep your joints and connective tissues strong. I don't think anyone should expect a beef protein powder to be made out of dehydrated filet mignon, right? And if they're going to slaughter cows in the first place, isn't it better to make good use of the whole animal rather than letting any part of it go to waste? I was thinking of getting the beef protein powder by Carnivore as an alternative, but it contains ingredients derived from milk so I know I couldn't tolerate it. I'm glad Olympian Labs kept this one simple. I wish all companies would add as few potentially allergenic ingredients to their products as possible, if they aren't really needed. It can make all the difference to highly-allergenic individuals like me who need to be careful about everything we eat. Altogether, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.

Awful flavor
The flavor is awful. This is by far the worst tasting protein powder I have tried. I couldn't take more that 1 sip.

Decent protein, but not more digestable than whey
I bought this beef protein under the impression that whey proteins were messing with my stomach and bowel movements. I found that this powder also messes with my bowel movements, so I'll be going back to musclemilk which claims to be lactose free. Just thought I'd write that it didn't quite make my stomach feel better than other proteins. This stuff takes forever to mix up, a sign of a low quality shake. I wouldn't buy this if you're worried about stomach problems, because this stud is just as bad as any other protein, and tastes kinda like kaka.

This is the worst protein I’ve ever eaten. When you shake the protein it makes dough and can’t mixed properly.
