doesnโt smell like lavender but works
heads up it says lavender scented but you canโt smell the lavender at all. not sticky but takes a long time to absorb into the skin but that proves it efficacy. very good pain strength lasts hours. good product size. non greasy. its icy hot people its cold then slowly warms up not burns as it relaxes muscles. cheaper than other similar brands works better. menthol is all you smell no lavender smell dissipates after time.

Excellent choice!
This works for multiple days, and really helps with my pain and sleep. I find the smell soothing, which is surprising because I can't usually stand the smell of lavender, but this smells so good!

Smooth cool application great for sore or tired muscles
This is very good for soothing sore or tired muscles. The menthol cooling is wonderful, and it is not greasy, drying fairly quickly after application. The smooth rollerball head feels great gliding on your muscles as well.

As Advertised
Okay, after reading all the reviews here, I wasnโt sure if I even wanted to try this. It was on sale, so I decided to give it a shot. I put it on about 10 minutes ago, and hereโs my honest take so far: it is nowhere near as bad as the 1-star reviews make it out to be. Smell: Yes, it smells like lavenderโbut itโs not overpowering and doesnโt make everything you touch reek. Now, if youโre a guy heading out to a bar, you probably donโt want to smell like lavender any more than you want to smell like Ben-Gay, so donโt use it then. Itโs called โnighttime recoveryโ for a reason. This is medicine, not cologne. That said, the scent isnโt strong, and women would probably find it more pleasant. Some people are just more sensitive to smells, so take those reviews with a grain of salt. For example, I like certain scented wax melts, but my wife says they give her a headacheโeveryoneโs different. Stickiness: Is it sticky? No, not reallyโat least no more than any other topical product for back pain. It doesnโt feel wet, and my clothes arenโt sticking to it. Going back to the smell: after it โdried,โ I ran my finger over the area and could still smell it on my finger, but the menthol-type scent was more noticeable than the lavender. The lavender is still there, but itโs much less obvious nowโeither it faded or I just got used to it. Application and Effectiveness: The roll-on made it easy to apply to my lower back. Some reviews say itโs neither โicyโ nor โhot,โ but I started feeling a cooling sensation after about five minutes and still feel it as I write this. Thereโs no heat, but the cooling effect is definitely present. My pain feels slightly numbed as a result, although I wasnโt having a major flare-up to begin with. Iโd say it helps take the edge off, but itโs not a cure. Conclusion: I think itโs worth trying. Itโs not the miracle product some 5-star reviews claim, but itโs also nowhere near as bad as the 1-star reviews suggestโunless they received a defective product. If it works for you, buy it again. If it doesnโt, youโre only out a few bucks. Complaints about the smell, stickiness, and similar issues seem pretty overblown to me.

Smells good, dries quickly, no mess or greasiness, and just works.
It is really nice to have a topical cooling agent for pain that doesn't smell offensive or of menthol. The lavender smell is very nice (for men too) and the product works as well as any menthol topical I have ever used. The roll-on and quick dry are nice features too.
