Loving my Kimbap Triangles (Rice Balls)!!!
I love this item! I love the triangular mold and the nori sheets in plastic wrap. I've seen it before in a korean movie or kdrama, but I forgot about it until I stumbled on a youtube tutorial for it and it got me so interested in it. It is so easy and quick to make. It's convenient for a quick snack, lunch, airplane trips, roadtrips, and anywhere on the go. I can't wait to make this for my family roadtrip. I will be trying out more recipe in the future. But right now I'm loving the tuna salad one. So yummy! Who would have ever thought rice would go great with tuna salad. Brilliant! So glad I found this on Amazon. I even had one of my family members try it too and they like it alot. So I've already placed an order for the refills on the nori plastic wrappers, and I can't wait to make it for the whole family to try! So happy with this product! Not sure about others, but I find the kimbap triangle or rice balls to be packaged so cute when you make it. Oh and I love the convenient and freshness of the plastic wrap. You actually wrap the triangle rice filling on the plastic wrap that has the nori inside. Just be sure your plastic seaweed nori wrap hasn't touched anything unsanitary before you put your triangular rice mold on it. The plastic wrap helps the nori wrap from touching the rice, that way it keeps the nori fresh before you eat it. When you're ready to eat, you just follow and peel where the numbers are at and then the seaweed will come into contact with the rice filling. If you're still confuse, then search on youtube for Kimbap triangles and they will tell you how to wrap it up and also unwrap it to eat it. Whoever first came up with this idea is brilliant!!!

Nice taste, easy to use
My tweens are really interested in sushi and onigiri right now. We had a fun time making these onigiri at home. We made sticky rice, let it cool, and then used the mold to shape it and then fill it with some bulgogi. We also tried it with orange chicken leftovers and it tasted really good. The kit comes with instructions and it was really easy to figure out. Great for first-time users!

Works great!
After visiting Korea, I really missed the triangle kimbap I could pick up in convenience stores. While I have Korean groceries and restaurants nearby, none make that style of kimbap. Thankfully, making it is fairly easy and these wrappers keep the kimbap fresh and portable. The peel-open design is genius and keeps the seaweed crispy and the rice soft. The rice mold works well and is easy to clean. A great choose-your-own-adventure for fillings of your choice! I have tried this kit using bulgogi/egg filling and tuna/mayo filling and both were successful!

A great set
Update 05/06/15- I am still using this mold on a weekly basis, and I've been tossing it into the dishwasher for washing. Really pleased. Wanted to add that it doesn't need to be filled all the way up with rice... I prefer them when they are thinner. I have found the wrappers at my local Asian market for a lower price, and I always have them at home. Original review- If you love rice/onigiri, this is a must-have. You will get one rice mold (mine was pink instead of blue, as in the picture) and a package with 10 sheets of nori wrappers. The instructions for the wrappers are a little hard to follow, but after doing it twice it is relatively easy. I bought these so I could make an onigiri in the morning, toss it in my bag and have it for lunch at work. I'm not confident enough in my wrapping skills to throw the onigiri in my bag quite yet, but I will get there. These sheets of nori are packaged individually between one sheet of shiny plastic and one sheet of non-stick plastic. They are air-tight. This makes the nori unbelievably fresh. In addition, the nori itself is thinner than the nori I usually use, which allows the nori to stay stuck to the rice (thicker sheets tend to unpeel themselves), and makes it easier to bite into. In short, they are designed especially for onigiri. ... but the really special thing about these wrappers is the layer of nonstick plastic between the rice and the nori. When you peel away the wrapper, the rice and nori meet for the first time. When I bit into the first onigiri I made from this set, I was absolutely blown away. Never have I had nori so fresh. Texturally, it's a totally different experience. Instead of chewy or soggy, the nori is dry and crunchy. It breaks apart easily. If you have had sushi before, you know that the seaweed wrapped around the outside is kind of chewy and impossible to bite in half. This seaweed is exactly the opposite because it doesn't absorb any moisture from the air or the rice until the moment you're ready to eat it. I know that these sheets are used all over Japan to package convenience store onigiri. Because they are made especially for onigiri, they are especially good. I will be repurchasing more wrappers in the future. They are really wonderful!

Really easy to use and simple directions in the back.
It’s easy to use and tastes great. I usually buy it from the Korean supermarket when it’s on sale for about $7. There’s really simple directions to follow on the package and it’s such an easy meal idea! It’s a bit tricky to wrap and you need to make sure there’s no oil on your hands and the outside of the wrapper in order to close it with the sticker/tape. Some filling ideas that I enjoy: 1. Spam with cooked kimchi with white rice 2. Kimchi fried rice with egg/cheese in the center 3. Bulgogi with rice 4. Tuna/ mayonnaise with rice or you can add sriracha for spicy tuna version 5. Spicy stir fried pork (jeyuk bokkeum) with rice 6. Teriyaki chicken with rice 7. Any type of fried rice 8. Donkatsu or chicken Katsu with sauce and rice I can’t think of any more but you can put basically any meat or veggies with rice. It might take a couple of tries to get it right but it’s so worth it! I hope my review was helpful :)

Good quality nori.
Wasn't sure about this after reading all the comments. I received it today and the expiration date is 5 months away. I did a taste test and it's good. A little thinner than the nori sheets I normally use, but thin is better for musubis. I'll be making about a 2 dozen this weekend since my granddaughter has a double-header tournament on Saturday. The package says it's 100% seaweed, which is a good thing--nothing added. Wish I knew it was good--I would have opted for the 50 count! I hope I get my additional 50 count order by Friday. If I don't, I'll have to use the regular wrappers I buy. I expect to use all 50 by summer, since my granddaughter's season starts next week.
