Great walker for Travel
This is a great walker for travel. It has an ingenious design that allows it to fold up to a width of only 4" x 6" (and about 32" long), and with its relatively light weight (6.5 pounds) makes it very easy to handle and easy to put into a car or take out (front or back seat, or trunk). It folds up very easily, and is equally easy to open. It is plenty sturdy for use as a walker -- I would say it is very well made for its purpose as a light-weight, travel type walker. There is no seat and it is not intended to sit on -- if you need a seat on a walker, this is not for you. However, if a normal seat-type or center-folding walker is too big/heavy/clumsy to get into/out of a car and you don't need a seat, this is the walker you want. We've had those other walkers too -- they took up a lot of space in the car's back seat and I was not thrilled with them. And as another reviewer noted, this walker is narrow enough to fit through almost any door -- unfolded it is only 19" wide max. I got this for my 86 year old mother -- she can walk short distances only (50 ft or so), and her balance has been getting progressively worse so that a cane is no longer safe -- she really needs to use a walker now. We have a transport wheelchair that I use to take her places (doctor visits, shopping, movies, etc), and she used to be able to use a cane to get out for restroom stops, etc. So it became a serious problem when the cane was no longer going to be safe for these short walks where I could not help her. This Standers Space Save Walker (aka Standers Metro Walker) was the perfect answer, as it was small enough and light enough to carry on the back of her wheelchair. Her Medline transport wheelchair Medline Transport Wheelchair with Brakes, Red )has a built-in seat belt (which we had never used before), but I found that this belt would act as catch for the bottom hinges of the walker when it was folded. I got an additional large work belt (at Ace Hardware, or for example Amazon.com Style n Craft 95-010 Black Polyweb Tool Work Belt which I strapped to the top of the wheelchair. I can slide the folded walker through the top strap on the back of the wheelchair, and then position the folded walker bottom hinges on the bottom belt (wheelchair seat belt hanging down the back of the chair) so that the walker's weight is supported by the bottom belt, while the top belt keeps the walker in place. Not a perfect solution for keeping the walker handy with the wheelchair, but it seems to work ok. I can slide the walker out of the belt slings quite quickly, and also get it back in (in about 10-20 seconds) -- just have to position the bottom walker hinges so they catch on the belt properly. Highly recommend this walker -- for travel purposes, it is perfect -- light, extremely compact, yet sturdy.

Functional and Cute!
This walker has been incredibly helpful. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and folds up nicely without taking up much space. The wheels roll smoothly. A great option for anyone needing extra support without something bulky or heavy. The pink color is pretty and uplifting, which makes using it feel a lot less clinical.

This is a great walker! I planned on buying wheels for the classic hospital walker issued to me by the hospital but when I got home got this one instead...with the travel bag. So glad I didn’t just buy wheels for the classic walker. Wheels are so much better for early ambulating if the walker really is the best tool. Without the wheels - every step forward requires a lift of the walker; if you can’t put weight down lifting is difficult. Rolling is much easier and gets you moving! This one folds up conveniently, is very lightweight, adjusts easily, and is very maneuverable. It folds into a narrow space as you need it- great for airplane aisles! And carries a significant amount of weight... up to 300 pounds.. but is still featherlight. Nice! Easy to toss in the car yet very rugged. The travel bag and a cup holder were vital for me to maintain my independence around the house while healing. You can’t carry “stuff “and use a walker simultaneously without the gizmos. Glasses, phone, iPad, tissue, etc. plus coffee or tea. Lightens the support tasks for a caring partner! Worth the money and it makes challenging ambulating less of a daily strain; more energy left for healing!

Perfect indoor walker (un)folds in 2 sec. like an umbrella, folded stands alone vertically, could be used on asphalt surfaces. Light and good looking. Smart design allows using it partly open and passing through any narrow space. If manufacturer equipped it by four double swivel wheels and a brake it would be “ultimate driving mashine” for outdoor travel. Lightweight and conveniently folds and stands upright
This walker lacks the convenience of having a seat and a place to keep a purse; however, it is so lightweight and easy to use. It is so light that the hard winds push it a little. With no upper body strength , I can still easily grab it and/or put it away. There are times when used outside that you have to lift it to change direction because the wheels only go straight ahead, so I am going to add new things. I have now purchased swivel wheels for the front and a pouch to carry items. I am gifting them so I will update this review to see how the added items work. When I update, I will show the before and after pictures. By the way, Amazon already sells walkers that have a pouch for carrying items. I went this route of only buying the walker because I didn’t know if I’d like it for my mom. I like it a lot and my mom does, too. UPDATE: I’m attaching pictures with the added pouch, hook, and new wheels. Now my mom can carry her purse on the hook and add additional things in the pouch. The wheels can now either move around or stay in a forward position. A lock on the wheels keep the wheels in the direction you want. My mom actually has an option! Bottom line is she can remove the pouch and/or the hook whenever she wants. And the color pink - she has received so many compliments. Good buy all around whether you get it as it comes or buy it with all the extra stuff. NOTE: I forgot to add the before picture, but it looks exactly as the item as posted on Amazon.

Not your grandfather's walker. Well designed and manufactured
This is an outstanding product based on my one week of use. Got the Cobalt Blue. Easy handle height adjustment. I'm 6ft and the handles are at the #3 hole. There are a total of 5 adjustment holes, about 2" apart, so quite a good range. While I'm not an engineer, I do restore collector cars for a hobby, so looking at this, you can quickly tell that someone spent a lot of time getting it right. Welds are really nice, rubber fittings are good. Although the unit is put together with rivets, all wear parts are held on with screws, so easily replaceable wheels and skids, adjustable friction washers. It deploys easily and the fold up function is a snap. I'm a big guy and this walker was very, very sturdy. I did not detect any weakness in any part. The size, once you fold it up, is very compact and easily moved around. To give this the highest compliment, whomever designed this either uses a walker or someone in their family does. It is that well made.

Where to Start
I am taking a cruise and anyone who has taken a cruise - yes, you have assistance and they will take you in a wheelchair, but let's say you are walking in Skagway, looking at the shops, instead of a cane, you want something that will give you better balance - like a walker - taking or renting a rollator can be a pain. This is perfect. I tried it out here at home. I have my standard medical walker, a rollator, but anyone who has those knows things get bulky and take up a room. In the house, I do not use anything really but my cane is always near by. However, there are times I want the stability of the walker. This does not take up room and will replace my cane in the house when needed. It is also so lightweight and much easier to transport in the car........and if you are looking for a carrying case - I got the perfect one. It was actually made for camera tripods....AMBITFUL Widened Version Tripod Carrying Case Bag 19/21/25/31/39/43/47/51/55/ for Light Stands.....you can get this here at Amazon. It is reasonably price, appears to well made, and if you want this walker on the plane - the case easily fits in the overhead or if you checked in at the gate. Even in the car, it would be great - it does not take space. Oh one more thing about the walker - the button you pull up on to collapse it is so easy - it was seconds after opening the box - the walker was in use......yes, I do recommend this. On a side note, I am 6 foot - and usually like the width of bariatric walkers. This one is not really wide like a bariatric walker but I don't feel like I am tripping over it and I can adjust it to fit my height. Update 8-9-2024. Returned from Alaskan Cruise and spending several days in Seward. I am so grateful I took this walker. The halls are narrow, elevator crowded, and doors narrow that your everyday walker. When I went through a narrow space, I just picked it from the middle - squeezed through - still functional - then opened it all the way. I would caution you in doing this only because you do not want to forget to push the lever down so it opens all the way but it kept me from getting nasty looks on the elevator. It held up - took a real beating - and it helped me in and out of the shower. The slider feet really lasted, when we walked where we did over the uneven, gravel areas, getting on various smaller boats, walking forever. I am so glad I found this one. Get the case I recommended - and you can get luggage tags to tag as medical equipment. Checked it in on the way back but it is small enough to go in the overhead - even in the smaller planes.

Great and portable but problem with back legs
Love the walker, it's easy to use, folds, and is easy to store in the car. The problem is the back legs "eat" tennis balls. I tried changing the original back legs and that was impossible. So I started using tennis balls, because it has a metal edge it eats right thru the balls

Impressed the Physiotherapist at VGH
This walker is very sturdy without being too heavy. The first picture is it folded and standing on it's own. Easy to store. Uses very little space in a vehicle. The second picture is it unfolded, very easy to unfold. Push down on the black pad to lock it open. I bought this walker because I have stairs to navigate to leave my building and the other walker I have is too awkward to be safe going up or down stairs. I used the Able Life Space Saver Walker to go to my appointment at VGH. A physiotherapist watched me coming down stairs and took pictures and we had a long discussion on how useful it is. She had never heard of it before and the walkers the Hospital uses are not safe to use on stairs. Folded, this walker can actually be used like a cane and assists rather than impedes navigating stairs I loved the fact that all that I had to do was adjust the handles to use it. I took it on a test run up and down the stairs and it is easily handled and light enough to carry. Better yet, I found that I could use it like a cane when going up or down stairs. I'm very happy with my Space Saver Walker

Great: effective, lightweight & easy to stow, but short distances only.
I got this for my 92 year old Mum - it is great and highly recommended. She has been using a 3 wheeled walker to good effect for about a year, which keeps her mobile and healthy. However, while the 3 wheeled walker is great, it is heavy and a bit big for putting in a car. This walker is very light and easily folds into a more manageable package. Mum tends to use it for very short distances when getting lifts with friends, who tend to have small cars. She is able to use the walker to get to the car, it folds and can easily fit in the boot. It is very useful when I take Mum out to a cafe as once folded it is much easier to stow. So, if you are after a walker for use over short distances and is easy to stow, then I highly recommend this. For longer distances, such a walk around the park Mum will choose her 3-wheeled walker.
