Really happy with this pot. It feels sturdy and well made, and the steamer basket works great for vegetables. I also like that it works perfectly on my induction cooktop. Good size, easy to clean, and something I use pretty regularly. Definitely worth it.

This is my best pot I’ve ever owned. It absolutely IS stainless steel. I don’t know who’s saying it’s not. It totally is 18/10 stainless steel. It’s sturdy, well built, and it’s huge. I love that I can make my food all in one single pot. This has a steamer so while you cook rice or meat below you can easily cook veggies on the steamer on top. It’s amazing, it definitely cooks for 3-5 people at once. I even tried making moros in this, which is rice and beans. That’s the photo I’ve attached. I fluffed it and the rice got even darker. I was so happy! I’ve never had this dish come out right in other pots. And they came out so well. It’s also easy to clean. I use Bar Keepers Friend to clean all my stainless steel cookware. I have contemplated buying a second one bc it’s so effective. Definitely recommend this one!

Based on other reviews, was looking for black industrial goo in the steamer holes: my steamer was clean and shiny, no goo or staining. Sharp edges? The edges of the lid and pot are thin but not sharp. Concerns over handle (attached with screw and bolt that would allow you to change out the handle if needed) becoming extremely hot: not necessarily if you're just steaming vegetables. But if you're using the bottom pot to cook something, it would most likely become very hot (use a hot pad), I just use this for steaming vegetables, and I got this unit because it had a large steaming basket. Complaints that it rusts?: handwash and dry, you won't have any rust, that's most likely from using the dishwasher. I just unpacked it, washed it, dried it and it's beautiful. It is sturdy enough. The quality seems good. Everything fits well. This unit is a good buy for the money, if you wanted a thicker steel, it would cost hundreds of dollars more. I don't usually write reviews but I really like this unit. Would recommend.

I love this steamer! At 9.3 QT capacity (5.5 QT steamer & 3.8 QT pot) It's so easy to use too! The diameter of the steamer and pot is aout nine and a half inches enabling me to steam nearly everything! Big bonus for me is that the steamer is tall enough and large enough to fit three to four jumbo artichokes! Most steamer baskets are too short to do this without having to cut the artichokes. It's not only functional but beautiful as well! The stainless steel steamer and pot is superbly finished with a bright almost mirror-like finish. It has a clear glass dome which makes it easy to check on your food as it steams. It's well made, the thickness of the steel is a bit thinner than I'm used to, but it's still very strong. The fit of the steamer top to the pot is perfect! The steamer sits down in the pot about an inch which provides an excellent seal; it's not a sloppy loose fit either, it's snug with an almost piston-like precision. The triple thick construction of the base distributes the heat evenly providing for a more steady steam. The quality of the stainless steel is excellent, I've noticed no staining whatsoever after a month's nearly daily use. I'm looking forward to many years of use with this excellent product.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter to steam vegetables for her family. She had previously purchased a steamer that sat on the counter and plugged in. It was large, had several components, was awkward and difficult to clean after each use. This Sunhouse steamer claimed to be usable on most any sized pans of water on the stove top. I tried this at home before I gave it to her to see whether it was as adaptable to different pan sizes as it claimed. It was light weight, washable in the dish washer, and worked great, so I packed it with me on my next visit to the family and gifted it to her. After several months, she sent me a text message that read, “Oh, by the way, I’ve been meaning to tell you, I LOVE the steamer!” Since then, on my visits to her household, I have also used the steamer and may even purchase one for myself. It’s much lighter and easier to use than the heavy steamer set I have been using.

I've tried quite a few steamer accessories and methods over the years, and this is the best by far that I've used. First, the basket fits a variety of standard pot sizes, and most people will have one that works with this steamer. Second is the large basket size. I love leftover broccoli, so I can steam two cut-up crowns in this, and have enough excess pre-steamed broccoli to make some of my favorite recipes. Initially, I thought the basket would be too large and would take longer to steam—especially small amounts of food—but it doesn't seem to matter. In fact, it seems to work more quickly than my old double-pot steamer, and it works great with both large and small amounts of veggies. This might be the best steamer available, or at least the best I've seen.

It's a little bit smaller than what I thought but it looks like a good quality but when I went to wash it before I use it it's pretty thin stainless steel so I'm not real sure how it's going to work out.

What a great little steamer pot! I was not expecting much but was I ever pleased. The pot looks nice, is made very sturdy and of nice material, you really will not get any better at this price point, in fact I don't think you could get better at double the price. As someone who worked in the culinary industry for 2 decades I will say this is a great little pot for any home kitchen. I highly recommend this Sunhouse steamer pot! Excellent purchase!

For large pots, good capacity, steamer lid fits other pans which was a bonus
