Just got the new Studio Series Age of Extinction Optimus Prime on hand, and honestly, Hasbro killed it with the robot mode. The screen accuracy is insane, and the paint apps on the blue and red look super clean, making it a massive upgrade over the old TLK Voyager. The accessories are top-notch too, especially the gun-shield. Plus, the licensed Western Star truck mode looks beautiful and hides all the robot parts perfectly underneath.That said, the 44-step transformation is a total workout, and getting the truck hood to tab in properly can be a massive pain. He also has a pretty chunky backpack, but thankfully it’s completely detachable. Taking it off gives him a perfect movie silhouette on the shelf, though you lose the sword storage. He does feel a bit lightweight for a Leader class, so he's definitely overpriced at full retail. If you can find him on discount, grab him. It's easily the best version of this design we've ever gotten.

Grandson loved it for his birthday. I won't mention the price, these things are way too expensive, Nanny knows she is being ripped off, and the manufacturer knows she will buy it anyway.

Don’t buy at RRP.
Paint applications are good, only one chip on the wing mirror. Sword is slightly bent but it’s the packaging, likely all of them are. The toy itself is really cool, it has a nasty ahh “backpack” in robot mode but it comes off, removing the backpack means you can’t sheath his sword and affects the overall silhouette a bit but it’s an option. The wrist blade isn’t great, poorly painted with just silver, but it is what it is. The gun-shield is so cool! This is a massively overpriced toy discounted to something more reasonable (~£30) by Amazon! 👏🏼 Happy overall. If you’re looking at buying this, you probably already have an opinion on it, mine was well-painted and came in great condition. Very happy as far as Amazon go! Not worth the RRP though.

Perfect Optimus prime
This Optimus Prime is perfect in my opinion If you don't mind the backpack like i do, you should get it, its perfect, its poseable, and has a great vehicle mode.
