Es primera vez que uso este tipo de disco duros especialmente diseñado para uso de NAS. Algo que notas es cuando la sacas de su caja, por cierto está bien protegido, es lo pesado, literalmente un bloque. En que lo estoy usando en el UGREEN NAS DXP2800 dos disco de 8 TB en configuración RAID 1 -Es rápido el acceso de la información en la cargar y la descarga -Se siente robusto el disco duro en comparación a uno normal -No es muy silencioso cuando se activa el NAS >Te puede parecer costoso en invertir en este tipo de disco duro, pero después de investigar y hablar con un usuario de NAS. Ver que en realidad lo que estoy buscando es confianza y seguridad. En proteger y resguardar información valiosa. Recuerda que es el corazón del NAS! En esto meses ha funcionado muy bien sin problemas.

I waited weeks for these drives to be shipped. Both work beautifully in my UGreen NAS. I started with Western Digital Red drives, but two of three were faulty and I sent them all back. It was worth the wait for the Seagate drives.

Do not buy from the third-party seller Maestro Technology LLC. I purchased a batch of four 8TB Seagate IronWolf Pro drives for my NAS, believing they were standard new drives backed by Seagate's 5-year warranty. Less than a year later, two of the drives are actively failing. When I contacted Seagate for a warranty replacement, Seagate officially denied my RMA in writing. They physically checked the serial numbers and confirmed that Maestro Technology LLC sold me unauthorized, out-of-region "gray market" OEM drives intended for Europe and Asia without disclosing it anywhere on the listing. Because the seller used deceptive distribution channels, Seagate's policy strictly prohibits honoring the warranty. If you buy from this seller, you are getting un-warrantied hardware and will be left stranded when it fails. Avoid at all costs.

got the used / mint condition by amazon, irowolf pro 8TB kinda wish the package said fragile or something but that;s the risk you take and amazon is good at returns. These have been my go-to drives for a long time now for NAS. The warranty is fantastic, data recovery included. Not that I've ever had a failure. I have tens of thousands of hours on multiple ones, not even a bad sector yet. Note that there is a difference between the regular Ironwolf and the Pro version. Pro has a longer warranty, and supposedly is built with better components. I've only used Pro versions, so I don't know how reliable the other ones are. BTW, I've used these in several different Synology NAS products, they're plug and play. Just ignore the lame warning that the drive isn't compatible, that's pure marketing nonsense to try to get people to buy Synology drives at an elevated cost and lower reliability.

The is an excellent HDD.. Put 2 of these in a Synology NAS and there mounted great, the speed is above the specs so far and running them on Raid5 in hopes to prevent any data loss in the event of a drive failure. The connection was very very easy and I can not say enough about how easy this worked with my Synology system. hard drive capacity was exaclty spot on and the size was as in the specs.
