Ion Explorer Outback 2 Bluetooth Water Resistant Speaker System - Black

This speaker is so amazing!! We have used it several times for camping trips and it's extremely durable. We don't have to stress about it getting dirty or wet. It's easy to haul around with the wheels, and the cup holders! Also love the built in bottle opener! What really amazed me about this speaker was the battery life! We took it on a camping trip and had it playing all day/night, for 2 days and we never even had to charge it! I also plugged my iPhone into the usb port and it gave my phone a full charge. It's extremely convenient since we don't always have electricity while camping and now I don't have to worry about my phone dying while playing music. I was also impressed with how loud this speaker is! We barely had the volume up half way and this thing was blasting to our whole camp. I highly recommend this speaker!

I looked EVERYWHERE for a decent outdoor speaker. All the bluetooth options at Best Buy were both underwhelming and overpriced. We bought a Sony 'party' speaker which couldn't handle more than about 3 hours of continuous play and needed to rest for 2-3 hours before we could use it again.... Not the Ion Explorer Outback 2! This thing is a beast! Great sound, easy connectivity, and a long LONG battery life...plus, cup holders and a bottle opener! What more do you want? Add your favorite streaming service (Pandora, Spotify etc..) and you've got your own back yard party DJ. We also have a pool, so being waterproof was a bonus, mostly because of our dogs who shake off water and get this thing wet! We LOVE it!!!

I've had this for about a year, this thing is AWESOME. Perfect for all your outdoor adventures or working outside. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is the battery indicator. Mine says it has half battery left and dies after about an hour. The battery life is excellent but it would be nice to have a more accurate battery indicator. Sound quality is excellent.

I got this product to listen to music while at work. I needed something loud because I have a manufacturing job and their is a lot of ambient noise plus you have to wear PPE (ear plugs etc). The sound literally drowns out the noise and I can hear it comfortably with ear plugs in. It terms of quality another coworker has the Monster Rockin Roller 4 and with quality of sound and strength of sound it doesn’t compare. Not to mention the build quality is amazing! It feels heavy in the sense of a well made product but is still decent to carry around. It can be weird to carry at times but the wheel/handle make up for it. If I had to choose probably perfer cupholders now instead of a hande across the top. One other thing, bass boost OMG so good! Bass boost + dubstep pandora station = awesomeness! Hope this review helped! I’ll probably end up getting a second one haha

I bought this for my fiancé for a Christmas present. He spends a lot of time outside and when on the other side of the yard, the small electric boom box, just didn’t cut it. Plus living in the middle of nowhere, we don’t get a lot of radio stations. Now he can roll this portable radio around with him, use Bluetooth for Pandora and never have to worry about losing charge or if it starts to rain. This is the best outdoor radio I have found!! Sound is amazing, battery is remarkable, the extras like cup holders microphone and charging capabilities make this AWESOME

This speaker is incredible. I originally bought it for an outdoor movie night and it worked perfectly. I was able to use the USB plug to power my Chromecast and divert the sound to this speaker via aux in (utilizing an a/v splitter). The clarity and volume was exactly what I was looking for. I've also used this at a rec kickball game for music and announcements. The microphone isn't great but works. If you're talking over music, you'll need to play with microphone and music volume levels. I haven't had to recharge it yet, so battery life seems good.

I like the sound quality. Unfortunately I am very disappointed that it won’t charge. It won’t play even when plugged in. The radio is horrible, needs an antenna. I ordered a new battery. Don’t waste your money on this product. It’s very pricey and not worth it. One star for me.

Love this speaker for its sound and Bluetooth capability. Will add only turn the volume for your phone or tablet about half way. Anything over that the speaker gets fuzzy as you turn up the manual volume control on the speaker. My biggest complaint would be FM radio reception. It is awful. It needs an exterior antennae. I have one of the original ION block rockers and the FM radio reception on it is outstanding. It had the exterior antennae. Why was it removed from these newer versions?
