Hatch Restore 3 Sunrise Alarm Clock, Sound Machine, Smart Light (Cocoa) - White Noise, Screen-Free Sleep Routine

I have been a deep sleeper my whole life (setting five alarms in the morning and not waking up to any of them), and this hatch alarm has significantly helped with my sleeping routine! The sunrise lights up my room without any blue light, which is especially helpful for winter and early morning wake-ups. The app also allows you to choose your sunrise colors/brightness/alarm sounds so you can definitely find something that works for you. A plus is that you can play white noise/ other sounds while sleeping! One of my favorite features is the bathroom light on the side of the alarm that is super easy to turn on/off so you don’t ruin your eyes with overhead lights. You can also turn on the light in fun color-ways at the front of the alarm during the day! Finally, I love how the alarm looks on my nightstand-it’s the perfect size and it matches my decor perfectly. You can also turn on and off the clock during the day and night and dim the time for readability at night. Love this alarm clock!

I don’t usually write reviews, but the Hatch Restore 3 has honestly been one of the best purchases I’ve made for my sleep and overall routine. First off, the design is beautiful—minimal, modern, and it actually looks aesthetically pleasing (which is rare for tech). But what really makes it worth it is how thoughtfully it’s designed for better sleep. The sunset feature at night has completely changed the way I wind down. Instead of scrolling on my phone, I now have a gentle, gradual dimming light paired with calming sounds that signal to my body that it’s time to rest. It’s helped me fall asleep faster and feel more relaxed at bedtime. The sunrise alarm is just as impressive. Waking up to gradually brightening light instead of a blaring alarm has made my mornings feel so much less jarring. I feel more refreshed and less groggy, which is something I didn’t think a device could actually fix. I also love how customizable everything is—from light colors to soundscapes to routines. You can really tailor it to what works best for you. The sound quality is great too, whether you’re using white noise, nature sounds, or guided meditations. One thing I didn’t expect to love as much as I do is having a consistent nighttime and morning routine built in. If I had to mention a downside, it would be the subscription for full access to content—but honestly, I’ve found it worth it for how much I use it. I love this alarm! To me, the Hatch Restore 3 is the best alarm clock one could get. I hated waking up to my traumatic iPhone ringtones, and was getting poor quality sleep, AND my room gets such bad sunlight, so I decided to get this hatch alarm. And I'm so happy I did! I love the way it looks, and I love the way it wakes you up gently with light, just like we as humans are supposed to. Not only is waking up now less dreadful, but I can tell throughout the day I am much more well rested with this alarm. Additionally, I didn't even know this when I bought it, but this alarm is amazing for winding down before bed. I've been having trouble falling asleep recently but with the Hatch subscription, there are so many wind-downs/meditations you can pick from as a night-time wind-down routine. Personally, I love this as I have been getting into meditation recently and it really helps to clear your mind before bed. The knobs on the top are also very intuitive and it is very easy to adjust volume, etc. Overall, I highly recommend this alarm! Thank you, Sunny (thats what I named mine haha)

As I am making a major effort to really pay attention to my sleep quality, I purchased this clock after being recommended by a friend and I am very pleased - I truly did not think it would make as much of an impact on my sleep quality as it has. I waited a month to write this review and can share my honest thoughts: Pros: -I love the minimalism and appearance of the device itself. It is not an eyesore; the colors are soothing and the display is easy to read. The one button interface is also quite easy to use first thing in the morning - the sound library is extensive, and there are so many options to choose from. Think spa/soothing music as well as relaxing nature sounds - the sound quality of the speaker itself is impressive. It really transforms my entire room into a much cozier environment. - setting up a routine is a very handy way to both ease into sleep and ease into the morning. My old iPhone alarm was stressful and annoying and this takes a much more serene, gradual approach. Also offers many options for how to wake up (on a specific minute, over a period of time, etc) so it is flexible to each person’s needs Cons: -the app interface and instructions could use a little work in terms of getting started out of the box (understanding how routines work, what the buttons do). But the support team is extremely responsive and helped me through this very clearly, and once you figure it out using it is a breeze -some of the sounds in the library are a little ridiculous (there is a stand up routine option? Doesn’t really affect the product I just can’t imagine who would use that lol) All in all this is such a game changer for my sleep. I feel like I can fall asleep so much easier, and it helps redirect my distracted mind which I often find racing at night. Super recommend this to anyone looking to improve their sleep hygiene!

I first heard about the Hatch sunrise alarm clocks last year and only recently decided to purchase one in the Cocoa color. After a week of using it, I’m really enjoying the experience so far. You’ll have to download the Hatch app to get the device set up and what stood out to me right away was the thoughtful user experience which was evident even during onboarding. One challenge I often face is knowing when to put my phone now before bed. If I lose track of time, I can easily end up scrolling on my phone for an hour or two, which throws off my sleep schedule. I love how I can personalize my wind down routine with the Restore by playing calming sounds (my favorite has been the sunset south baths so far), as well as listen to a short meditation to ease into sleep. I also appreciate waking up to light and a pleasant alarm, rather than the same iPhone alarm I’ve relied on for years. There is a bit of a learning curve at first because of all the customization options, but it’s easy to get the hang of.

Loving my hatch and all its options for sleeping and waking up. There are steps into a sleep routine that starts an hour or so before actually wanting to go to sleep. I like the unwind setting especially. Its so calming and relaxing to have a sound bath or nature sounds going while I'm unwinding for the night. Waking up to light and gentle sound has been the biggest game changer for me! I have such a hard time waking up to my alarm. Its so easy to snooze. I like that with the hatch even if I snooze the alarm, the light stays on because thats what really wakes me up. I still have the hatch + subscription, but I am curious to see whats available for free! The hatch is also stylish, has good sound, and nice hues for the light setting.

My only real drawback is the subscription model. Given the device is already a significant upfront investment, it would be nice if more features were included without an additional ongoing cost. That said, even with that consideration, I’ve still found it to be a worthwhile addition to my routine and something I look forward to using daily.

The device itself is has a clean and intuitive design. And, there is a library of content to tweak your routine until it’s just right. Highly recommend!

We’ve been using the Hatch Restore 3 for a few months now, and I can confidently say it’s made a huge difference in how I wake up each morning. There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, just because there are so many lighting and sound options to explore! It’s really customizable and easy to tailor to your own routines and preferences. Where it’s really been a lifesaver is during the winter months here in Canada. Waking up in the pitch black is brutal, but the gentle sunrise feature has made those mornings so much more bearable. It feels way more natural and less jarring than a regular alarm. Bonus: even our dog loves it! As soon as the wind-down music and soft “northern lights” colours come on at night, he trots over and settles in. Highly recommend this clock for anyone looking to improve their sleep routine—especially if you live in a place with long, dark winters.

Very disappointing. The hardware is good but the app is unusable. There is a lot of potential in this product but they will only realise it when they throw out the current app and rebuild it with ease of use and flexibility in mind. Honestly this industry is begging for a competitor to come in and show us how this can be done well. Unfortunately Hatch is not that (yet? 🤞). I'd love to return my Hatch 3 and wait for that competitor, maybe they never come but this $200 disappointment is not bringing me any joy.

Beware! You have to use an adapter to plug in and power up in the UK. Really annoying! Given the cost of the item I’m amazed it didn’t come with the right plug or an adaptor. Sloppy.

Love my hatch! I could not recommend this enough. It helps us get a great night sleep and the design is super sleek and aesthetic on our night table. Buy one, you will not regret it.
