This filter saved my inflatable hot tub
I normally don't write reviews but this filter saved me! We recently purchased a nice blow up hot tub, we wanted to try something cheaper first before we would ever go all in on a big tub. It was important for me to understand the chemicals required, filtration, and the upkeep needed to keep a hot tub clean and ready to go whenever someone wanted to use it. Quickly after one week of the hot tub, I realized the filtration was not keeping up, the water was getting severely hazy, and I was on the brink of having to dump it all out. Between using clarity to clump up any oil or debris, and purchasing this filter, it has saved my hot tub water and made it clear in two days. Filter was easy to use, only trouble I had was understanding what the tube was used for. Simply connect the tube to the outspout and make sure it's sucking in fresh air. The power is legit and was blowing water around the hot tub at a far higher rate than what my tub was doing on its own. Between the tubs filtration and this filter doing what I would call 80% of the work, I now have something to be proud of in a few short days.

Works great for wood fired hot tub!
Well, although these are quite cheaply made. Essentially a cheap submersible pump, set on a plastic housing that holds a paper filter, and a UV light. They do work well. It has kept my wood fired hot tub very clean with the combination of this and an ozone generator. I no longer use any chemicals whatsoever, and it stays cleaner longer than it ever did before. It’s simple, easy to use, and effective. It can be made to fit pretty much any application. Can’t use the suction cups in my application, so I’ve just wrapped some solid wire around the top and over the side to hold it. Works fine. I think the largest downside is the wiring, and switch for the UV light. It would be nice if they were combined together, and somehow made to be waterproof. All in all, effective unit! Great for a small tub, cold plunge, or alike.

3 months in..
A few months ago, I started my cold plunge journey. My water would turn yellow after 4–5 days of daily plunging. I researched different solutions—filters, ozone generators, and more—and found that the UV light offered the best value. The results were immediate. After three months, I still haven’t changed the water, only the filter. Around the 1.5-month mark, the water began to look a bit cloudy, but rinsing the filter with high-pressure water cleared it right up. Cleaning is quick and simple, though the unit itself is slightly bulkier than other filters.

Works very well!
My water was getting a little bit murky, I did not want to add anything like bleach that would dry my skin out or cause itching. I actually just used this UV filter and in four days my water looks clear. I don’t think I’m even going to have to do anything else, so far, I am very impressed with this.

Cracked fitting and water siphon hazard
Great potential, I think. Mine came with a small crack in the plastic fitting for the airline resulting in the pump sucking in water and only circulating a fraction of what is possible. When turned off, that water intrusion resulted in siphoning of water. Quick replacement sent, see if that one works correctly and will also be installing a check valve on the air line to prevent water siphoning. Will update

Great
Love it! I have a hot tub that the motor died on and I like the smaller shape of the hot tub so this makes it so I can add a filter to it without getting a whole new system.
