Fun activity and great product
I bought this months ago but we just used it yesterday. The group ranged in age from 17 to 40 something and they all loved the experience! They loved all the choices for flavors and we used lipstick to color our individual creations as suggested in the directions. Everything we needed was provided except the vessel for the heated wax and that wasn't a problem. Everyone commented on how smooth the product was when finished and said they wanted to do it again when they use up what they made. Great product!

If you have scent allergies - Best not to use the flavor oils - had severe reaction
If you don't have allergies, this kit is perfect and enjoyable to use to the fullest. Since I was a kid, my family always made what they needed. I grew up with personalizing with color, scents, you name it. As I've grown older, an onset of severe allergies to scents came in. Good thing I know I can function making my own basics. I needed new containers of different types, and decided this kit had a great amount of diversity. I am happy with the almond oil, beeswax, and shea butter. My personal mix has coconut as the base, so these will last a long time. While my mixture of wax and oils were warming up, I set up a glass dish to test one of the flavors, Cherry. I wanted to test it without tainting the entire batch if I found I didn't like it or other reasons. On contact with my fingers, I noticed the odd smell of it, but shrugged it off since I had not noticed anything from the description page which would have alerted me. In less than five minutes, I was hitting my inhaler and chugging liquid Benadryl due to how my reaction to the Cherry oil was closing off my breathing. While I was waiting to see if that worked, I dug in to see if this page explained what the flavor oils were mixed with. Nothing was clear nor concise. I immediately threw all flavors away, tossed out the trash bag, and deeply washed my glass bowl the oil had been in. My mixture for lip balm came out beautiful, even if the usual coconut & shea smell. I am appreciative how well wrapped everything was to prevent spills and leaks. It is a great supply stash if you are making your own. Those containers are reusable for a couple of uses due to the nice level of quality. My only concern is how there is a strong lack of details of what the flavors are made from. If you have any allergies to scents or know someone who is, consider putting those oils aside and enjoy the rest of the kit as it is. My only suggestion is to make a scent free one as an alternative option. Thank you for reading this and thank you to the folks who put this kit together.

Excellent Kit Has Everything Needed
I purchased this kit as a fun project to make lip balm with my 7 & 10 yr old nieces. I purchased a few additional items (that are not at all necessary) after doing a little research, such as menthol because I wanted balm that makes my lips tingle, a few cosmetic grade mica pigments to tint, as well as Mango butter to use instead of the provided shea butter simply because it was inexpensive and I read it had more moisturizing nutrients than shea butter. Also purchased a little double boiler for $10 to use with one of my existing small pots. It was really easy to make, not messy and we had fun mixing pigments & adding tint. We used all the containers provided so the girls could gift to family & friends and I still have plenty left over to make more. I purchased more containers because I am never purchasing lip balm in stores again! I was able to make it EXACTLY how I like my lip balm- tingly, with a slight brown tint, that's slippery & glides on almost like a gloss but is hard enough to be a balm & not melt. My secret ingredient is castor oil along w. a few other oils. I made a few different small batches using oils I had including jojoba, avocado, olive & the provided sweet almond oil. Really awesome kit! I highly recommend buying the little double boiler pot here on amazon - it's the perfect size and makes it easy & not messy.
