I've just had major Rotator Cuff surgery so am down to one useful meat hook to do it all. While I appreciate that my new laptop is lighter and thinner, it’s also a LOT smoother- sketchy for a dude with diminished grip security on his investment. My goal was to find something that would allow me to carry it with one hand, while open, to prevent it from slipping and falling to its demise. After browsing products, I happily settled on Dragon Grips. Some people compared the Dragon Grips to the Talon Grips and grinched about price, but If you go to the Talon website they’re $19.99. Of course, Amazon has them for much less, but you get a very specific shape/size, so it’s limiting. If you put the Dragon Grips together, I feel the quantity of material is at least equal to, maybe greater, with added versatility of shape/size offerings. That’s a win. Also, people seemed pretty happy with their grip and durability. I've only had the Grips on x3 days and haven't had a chance to put a heat gun to them, but they stick like crazy. What one reviewer said is really true: put it where you want it the first time because getting it off is a bear- they REALLY stick! I get the whole applying heat to set the glue but some surfaces may not tolerate 150°. If that’s the case and you’re not demanding the type of durability required on a weapon grip, I think you’ll be okay. My Talon grips have gotten vastly more vigorous use than the Dragon Grips will ever see but I’m confident there’ll be no issues here either! So far, I'm VERY happy with the few I’ve strategically placed and the material is nearly the same tackiness as the Talon product, maybe even slightly more so; hard to tell, frankly. They have a similar, nubbly texture to the Talon and if you're worried about thickness, don't. They are low profile which adds to the low-drag, grippiness of the product. In the end, the biggest satisfaction is buying a nicely packaged, quality product, that supports the underdog family business! That other company? They’re doing just fine. I recently swapped out the Otterbox Symmetry for the Otterbox Commuter case on my S8. I knew from reviews that the hard ABS plastic shell of the Commuter may be slippery, and that was confirmed when I started using it. Definitely potential for the phone to easily slip out of your hand especially pulling it out of your pocket, so I was looking for a simple solution short of just getting a different case. Grip tape came to mind, but the main concern I had with any sort of tape was the ability for it to adhere well to the ABS plastic and not peel up on the edges when repeatedly going in and out of my pocket. So it had a to have excellent adhesion and also low profile to minimize potential for snagging on anything. The finish on the plastic case is also kind of rough so that was another concern that may make adhesion a challenge. I ran across these Dragon Grips and they seemed to fit the bill. With good reviews I figured it was worth a gamble. I just needed a couple strips on each side of the phone where it contacts my palm and fingers. Here's how I applied the grips: 1. I found the strips were a little wide for the edge of my phone, so I used a razor to trim about 1/16" off the width, and scissors to clean up the radius. The grips are easy to trim to fit. 2. I cleaned the ABS plastic generously with alcohol to remove any dirt and oils. I also wore gloves just to keep things clean and not get any oil on the grips when applying them. 3. I position the grip and lightly set it on the surface thinking I could move it around as needed to get it aligned, but found the adhesive to be very strong and instantly stick! This was promising to see it stick so well to the hard plastic. Luckily I had it in the right place on my first try, otherwise it may have been a pain to get it re-positioned. So make sure you get it right on the first try! 4. I applied pressure with my fingers all over the grip and it seemed to lay down nicely, but I also hit it with a heat gun (150F recommended heating temp) while rolling a sharpie around the edge of the grip to get more pressure and ensure the edges are all stuck down, especially with the rougher surface. Heating and rolling really seemed to make it better so I recommend it. That's it! I am very happy with the initial results and very happy how well the grip adhered to the plastic. I don't anticipate there being any issues with the grip edges peeling up but only time will tell. The grip is thin and not very noticeable on the case, and doesn't look like an 'add-on'. If I didn't know it, I would assume the grip is how it came from Otterbox. Oh, and as far as the grip goes, it's a game changer! Just having the two edge grips on the case helps tremendously and I don't think I need anything else, though it would be easy to add a larger piece across the face of the case for even more grip. Overall I am very happy with the product and it will be interesting to see how it holds up but I am optimistic. I didn't get this idea until after, but if I did it again I would use a longer piece on the edge and cut it into a more custom shape (following the angled edge of the case - see my pictures). But it looks good enough for now! If I do have problems with peeling, I do have some others ideas to maybe get a better result to prevent peeling. One would be to mask off the area where the grip will stock, and use fine sand paper to smooth out the rough surface of the case. This would help the edges lay down even better. And going even further would be use a dremel (maybe a sanding drum bit) to almost make a relief that the grip sits in. This would be tricky and depends on the thickness of the case, but if it was possible it would make the grip tape look even more seamless and custom! Another idea would be to maybe use an epoxy made for ABS to place a very thin bead around the edge of the grip, nothing noticeable but enough to fill in any gaps around the edge of the grip. Excellent product!

Was disappointed at the grippiness of this at first, but I like it more as I use it. I was expecting something more like skateboard grip tape, but this is more like a plastic texture. Not super grippy, but enough to help add some grip to smooth surfaces.

Having just purchased a nice Torras Magnetic UPRO Case that is awesome and feels so great, with the strong MagSafe stand, I found this awesome case was too slippery. Sliding out of my pants pocket, pretty much anywhere I put this case it behaves like a greased pig. So finding this Dragon Grip product was just what I was dreaming of! One search and found it and bought clear, just like my case. This is so much better and I surely didn't want to get another new iPhone Case. This will solve your grip issues on any product and it is an amazing product. There are multiple sizes on the plastic sheet that hold the grips. Great choice from skinny and highly functional strips to wider ones in case you don't have a slim case. It was awesome to see the square pieces with rounded corners and I place them in the spaces on the back of the case which turned out to be excellent. All of the pieces have rounded corners and they cut easily with a razor blade and likely scissors too. After installation run a hairdryer along the strips just to warm them up and push them in harder, as per the directions. The adhesive is strong, holes these grips in place and if needed can be pulled off. I've had them on and love this solution. Nobody has even noticed them when I use my iPhone, so clear is great, as well as the dark colors if you have a black or dark case. The Dragon Grips come with a nice application instruction card and it's worth the read! I suggest if you have grip issues with pretty much anything, this product should be your solution. I've left many other reviews on products, but only when I am positive they are great. Ok, I confess I'm sure over the years of Amazon.com I have left a crummy review for some awful product. Dragon Grips are fabulous. I'm thinking of getting another pack of these grips for my regular camera, which is too darn slippery, I can think of many uses, even to help kids hold on to stuff. Applied these to a phone case for extra grip. Especially helpful when on the go and during rainy weather to ensure my phone stays put during use. These were easy to apply and a quick application of the hairdryer has helped them stay out for a few weeks now. The selection of sizes was good, but I did only apply many of the strips along sides and bottom. I had quite a few larger sizes leftover. Has been a great way to avoid buying another phone case.

These stickers/tape are cut well and good quality. I was expecting better grip to resist sliding of phone case on hard surfaces. The tape seems to be adhering well and it does have a textured finish.

I have a phone (Nokia 8.1) I generally love, but the whole shell is as slick as the screen. I'd put it down on what I think is a level surface, and five minutes later it would be tumbling to the floor. It's slid off my desk, the bathroom counter, my side-table by my recliner, so many times. I've pulled it out of my pocket and dropped it down the stairs. I could literally pinch the phone between just thumb and forefinger and watch it slowly slide out, even when applying so much pressure I'm concerned more might damage the screen. Holding on to my phone for use meant always hooking my little finger under the bottom, and it could give me hand cramps. I gave in and looked for some kind of grip tape. Dragon Grips looked nice... the pre-sized patches meant I wouldn't have to cut some generic tape, round the corners, etc. My phone wouldn't look like I covered in in sports grip tape. And they work very nicely. I only used two patches on my phone, the large square in the middle of the back, and a short, fat one on the bottom back edge, which gives me something to grab on to when pulling it out of my pocket. And it's made all the difference. I can place my phone any of the usual places and it stays where I put it. It feels safe and secure when I pull it out of my pocket, and I've never once had trouble with the tape gripping my pocket or otherwise making it hard to pull out. They've stuck well and show no signs of peeling off so far (just a little over a week, so the jury's out on longevity). There are a lot more patches than needed for one or even two phones. I've added one to my webcam to keep it from sliding around, a couple to replace worn pads on my generic cell phone stand.

When I first got my phone, it was very slippery. I’ve added these rubber grips to my phone and they did the trick! These rubber grips provide just the right amount of friction. The only challenge that I’ve noticed so far is that they get dirty over time so I’ve had to replace them with some of the leftovers that I had in the original package.

Good quality but lacks the anti slip characteristics you would expect. I did not use in the end. I just went to Bunnings and bought thin stickered insertion rubber for an anti slip option.

I bought a new Dap. This thing is beautiful, glass front and back, and heavy. And it seemed to slip off of any surface I put it on. The only case I could find was leather and expensive. Since I was using it mostly indoors, I decided to wait on the case (Daps are expensive ) and get these instead. Worked perfectly. Easy to apply, gives me a grip on my expensive device and it doesn't slide around when I put it down. Great company and I would definitely buy from them again.

I expected this to have a sandpaper like surface, to ensure solid grip. Was deeply disappointed, just an added layer of plastic, does not improve grip in the slightest.
