It can, but really would rely on a battery powered unit for any kind of life safety application. There are hardwired units with alarms that would probably be a wiser choice. That’s my 2 cents

Can i use for aquarium?

No, only for gas or air environments.

Can you use in fish tank, pond

No, its for measuring ammonia in the air, like you might find in a poultry farm. I think there are test strips or kits available for measuring ammonia en water.

Is the pump and probe sold separately required for measurement?

No, the meter will respond to ammonia en the air surrounding it. However, if you want to check the concentration in a confined space before entering, the pump and probe would be necessary.

Wouldn't depend on this for life safety

Thought it worked okay during the first flock we had it. Still maybe does ok the first poultry barn we wear it in, but after that it gets lower and further off from right in every barn after. And it always goes back to zero good when we go between the 6 barns. For a meter to do a good job consistently, it has to have a pump so it gets the same airflow all the time. Even when this one seems like it is working, it reads higher when walking then standing still.
