Pantech Breeze 4 (AT&T)

We don't do smartphones in this house since the business is here and we're both around the computer pretty much most of the time so we don't need a fancy phone (and the data plans that go with them...who needs data when you have computers, tablets, laptops and netbooks at your fingertips 95% of the time and of that other 5%, you shouldn't be on your cellphone anyway?) I like that it takes better pictures than my old phone (and at 3 MP it's over twice as good as my old Samsung). I'm not fond of the texting setup, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. And I don't like that I can't put a subject with the photos I send to my Facebook wall, that kind of sucks, but first world problems, right? I'd recommend this phone for someone who just wants a basic phone. If you want bells and whistles, this isn't it.

I bought this phone because my Pantech Breeze II fell apart. They've added some new features but I sure don't like the texting program. It's much more complicated than the II and takes several steps to do a text. I wish they had just left it alone....these upgrades didn't help. It's still not loud enough on the rings or the listening volume. I wear hearing aides, but the sound just doesn't come through loud enough. I find myself having to ask people to repeat. Sometimes they sound muffled. I love the small size, perfect for my pocket and I've gotten used to the keyboard (it has 3 letters on each key) I don't mind putting up with that so I can have a smaller phone. I don't need or want a smartphone so this one was a good size and does what I need it to do Still wish the volume were louder all around..

Replaced an old flip phone with this newer model. I didn't want to pay for a smart phone service and this phone doesn't require the extra charge with AT&T. I am hard of hearing and wear hearing aids. I needed a phone I could hear, which is often a problem on these flip phones. It took a few different ringtones before I got the "boogie" ring that I can hear fine. The only complaint I have with this phone is the screen is impossible to see in direct sunlight. Otherwise, it works great for my calling needs.

Going to try and return this phone as it is the worse phone that I have ever owned. Extremely complicated and difficult to use truthfully I had rather not have a phone than to have this one. I only gave it one star because it is a phone and for no other reason.

The other Breeze IV’s that I have purchased in the past were refurbs, and they used an internet connection and for some reason I cannot get this to connect the network like the other ones. It has factory set software for wap 2, and that’s why I have been racking my head trying to set the default gateway, IP address, and has been nothing short of a pain in my ***.

This phone has the best ever sound quality. Battery life is terrible. I have to charge it every two to three days.

I had a Pantech for years, finally dropped and broke it, moved through two used smart phones, and am back with the Pantech. I don't need or want the features or expense of a smart phone. This phone is simple, small enough to fit in a pocket or purse, and has the features I want - talk, text and camera. I hope it lasts a long time.

this is a GREAT phone..... it's sooooo convenient....... great for anyone who just needs a phone to TALK! Great for me cuz I don't text....tweet......facetime.........just talk.... I'm the only one I know who refuses to get a smart phone........ never any "downtime" and ALWAYS works and does exact;y what it is supposed to...
