I don't know anything at all about potholders. I've never read a book or taken a course about them. I do not know the history of their technical development nor of their sociological significance across various cultures. These are potholders, they were inexpensive, and they work just fine. So I am 100% happy with them and give them 5 stars.

I like the heat resistence and the length of the mits, which protects my arms. The grips on the palms are also helpful. I'm not sure yet how difficult they will be to keep clean.
