Kids Billy Classic Lace High (Toddler)

I love these shoes. They are well made and most importantly easy to get on and take off. My 2 year old doesn’t have a disability, but I purchased these because he likes to take his shoes off in the car and these prevent him from doing that! He appears to be comfortable, and sizing seems to be accurate. They are expensive, BUT they really are great quality and look stylist.

These shoe are great. My grandson is a toe walker and these shoes make putting shoes on effortless.

It kills me that ANY shoe costs this much, especially one that has no insides. That being said, when these go on sail, they are the best AFO shoes out there! Good sizes, running slightly wide (which they should for all AFOs), otherwise on point for sizing. Kid likes them and the styles. Pretty tough for keeping up with a rough housing kid who loves sand, dirt, wear out his knees and most toes on his shoes. These have held up over 6 months plus. We do have other shoes to occaisionally trade out, but these are the main wearers.

These shoes are so fashionable and easy for my child to use by herself! My daughter wears AFO leg braces and her physical therapist recommended Billy shoes. Billy shoes zip all the way down and around the toes, so it's simple to get the foot placed in the shoe. There are 2 layers of insoles in the shoes that are not sticky on the bottom, so they come out easily to customize how much extra room you might need in the shoe to accomodate the extra bulk of the AFOs. We've found that we have to go up one size from my daughter's actual shoe size. She doesn't need the extra length, but the braces add a bit of width to her foot. The "white rainbow" shoes are so cute and the zipper is camouflaged to look like a fun colored trim around the seam and so peers wouldn't notice the extra long zipper without really examining them. The white rainbow shoes are made out of canvas and zip up much easier than other Billy shoes we've bought. I'm not sure if the ease of zipping is due to the flexibility of the canvas or if we just got unlucky with other shoes.

Don’t question the price just get them! You will not regret it. Perfect for kids who have AFOs, CP, or any other feet issues.

Perfect high top shoe with front zippers that easily fit my daughters AFOs.

I am extremely disappointed with this pair of Billy shoes. My daughter has been wearing Billy shoes for the past two years, and we’ve purchased around nine different pairs during that time. We’ve always had a great experience with the brand, which is why this issue was so surprising. Unfortunately, this is the only pair we’ve owned that has developed zipper damage. My daughter only wears these shoes during her ABA sessions, and they’ve been used for less than a month before the zipper failed. Sadly, by the time the problem became apparent, the shoes were already outside the return window, and I have now essentially tossed $54 away. Given our positive experience with every other pair, I expected these to last much longer. I hope this was an isolated manufacturing defect, but it has been very disappointing.

Good for AFOs. Great that we don't have struggle to put my son's shoes on over his AFOs every day anymore. My only complaint is that they fray REALLY fast. Bought them in end of August. Had to replace them in December because they frayed out at the zippers. But my son loves them, they're really convenient & compared to other shoes we've bought, the price isn't too bad. I'm going to buy some Dritz Fray Check in hopes of preserving these better. I think metal zippers could be a critical upgrade for the manufacturer to consider also. But all things considered, these take a lot of abuse & hold up pretty well. They are a tad narrow for AFOs but for a foot, I'm sure they're more than fine. Removing the insoles makes them more accommodating for AFOs. Obviously, I've ordered them more than once & will continue to because I haven't found anything that fits better over my son's fixed ankle AFOs. There's a lot to be said for that slip on & zip up convenience every morning.

These are great shoes. They are a quality, durable construction. They are some of the only shoes we've found that fit with the orthotic SMO/inserts. They also look stylish enough not to stand out and draw attention if your child is self-conscious about wearing braces/SMOs/orthotics.
